This auction is for a 1960 Chevrolet C-40 truck that was converted to a NHRA drag racing car hauler years ago here in Oklahoma City by Mr. Darrell Warren then owner of Horton Motors in Oklahoma City . Mr. Warren had a 10000 rpm stick shifted 50's Corvette he liked to race and this was the truck he chose to haul it with. The truck has a few comforts added such as power steering and AC and the engine of choice is a built 427 "said to be from a Corvette" . The engine runs great and upon close inspection we notice a passenger exhaust manifold from a Corvette . I can not read the casting numbers on the back of the block because the engine fits closely to the firewall . The cylinder heads are #3964290 and are dated December 1969 . The intake is GM and the carb is a quick fuel Holley . The transmission is 4 speed and works well . The truck is finished in satin black paint with decals that can be removed if desired . The interior is very presentable and features a vintage steering wheel with a tilt steering column and AM/FM 8-track player too..... The truck has a nice rock solid steel bed with side access tool boxes and a even has a receiver hitch to tow a trailer if desired . This auction is for a nice rock solid 34 Chevy sedan located here in central Oklahoma. The car was built by Oklahoma Native customizer Eddie Whitehead in the 70's and Mr. Whitehead spent countless hours doing a very nice job building this little car just right. The car has a very nice body and features widened rear fenders , filled roof , custom rear suspension and disc brakes up front as well as hand built custom interior with 69 Corvette front seats and tilt telescopic steering column finished out in 70's green material. The car has good glass in front and rear quarter glass but will need door and rear window glass replaced. I do have the drive shaft and radiator as well as a clear Oklahoma Title .
