My Dent Wizard guy didn’t see that prior to my removing the hood deflector. The rest of the truck is straight as an arrow. I have the hood deflector which can go with it if you want to hide it. Heated seats sometimes work. Think the seat element is going bad. Tinted Windows may be illegal in some areas. It is up to the buyer to check the legality before bidding. Normal 0 You are bidding on a beautiful, RUSTFREE, ALL-original, super-solid FAMILY OWNED SINCE NEW, 1965 Chevy C-10 SHORT BED 2WD Pick up truck. This is a Florida/Georgia rust-free truck with the original In-line six and Rare Automatic transmission. EVERYTHING WORKS! This super solid C-10 is just the “bare bones” truck that moved America. No options here except for the Powerglide. She’s TURN KEY, starts right up and drives beautifully! Fly in and drive this one home! This 1965 Chevy C-10 is brought to you by House of Mouse Racing in conjunction with Street Machinery. The Body is ALL Chevrolet Steel! She was from Georgia and then moved to Florida before being shipped to Ohio to be sold. The body is super straight and has a nice Sky Blue paint job that’s a few years old but was just rubbed out and buffed. There are no major dings or dents but there are a couple of runs and some areas where the paint was removed from buffing the paint out, nothing bad. There are a couple of minor dents since it has been enjoyed over the years. Over all this Chevy has a nice presentation and would make an excellent cruiser, shop truck or daily driver. It’s solid enough to restore or pro tour! The condition of the chrome and brite work is very nice to excellent with most items original to the truck except a couple of replacement OEM pieces. The front driver-side fender molding that’s missing in the picture was ordered and will go with the truck. Bumpers are painted and are in nice condition. The glass is in good shape along with most of the weatherstripping. Door handles and gas cap are original and have some minor pitting. The Interior is ALL original. The seat is in great condition with little to no wear. The door panels are nice with some minor surface rust by the driver side armrest. Floor mat is in good shape. The dash is in good condition and could use a detailed cleaning. All the dash gauges, lights and blower work! The steering wheel is in great condition, no cracks! Odometer shows 17,002 miles. I don’t believe this to be accurate. The radio is temperamental. The Drivetrain components are the original units it was born with. The grandfather purchased it new and has since passed. The grandson had provided some of the following information about the truck. I was told that the engine was the 230ci option and it runs beautifully! No smoke or noises, just purrs right along. The automatic transmission works perfectly too! She runs great, shifts fine, steers where you want her and has good brakes! The Undercarriage is in super-clean condition! The floor pans and frame are original and in GREAT condition! The bed, cab corners, rockers and cab supports are rock solid original pieces! It’s just a super clean truck. The exhaust system looks original except for the muffler that was just replaced. It will need a tail pipe. New 15” radial tires and hubcaps were just installed. Other info: The original wood bed floor is in fair to poor condition. It has been covered with plywood. The metal bed slats are there but I’m not sure of the condition. It does have a minor antifreeze leak from a hose and it should be replaced. Also the heater hoses to the heater core have been bypassed, guessing the heater core may need to be replaced as well. There is no paperwork, documentation, or receipts for this vehicle. This Chevy comes with clear Ohio title (showing 47,566) and 1 sets of keys. Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours and a non-refundable $500 Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as cash or bank wire only. Due to space limitations and other upcoming auctions, buyer MUST take possession within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are agreed upon. We can store this vehicle for $125 a month (in advance) if you need time to make affordable shipping arrangements. Paid storage is in a dry, heated, secure indoor location. I do not finance. No trade or barter. I am not responsible for any fees, or taxes or any out-of-pocket costs. Buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. No warranty, sold as is. This car has been consigned to me for sale, but I am not the owner. I have made my best effort to accurately represent the car based on what I have observed in evaluating it and preparing it for sale, and what I have been told by the owner, but this is the extent of my knowledge. I can help with local shipping and work with your shipper. Normal 0 You are bidding on a Super solid, mostly original, SHOW WINNING, Georgia 1953 Chevy 210 Deluxe. She is super clean and the body was taken down to the bare metal, then blocked, primed, painted and wet sanded to show condition. The interior was completely done as well from carpeting to headliner. The driveline was removed and a Chevy 383 stroker was installed. This is a TURN KEY car! Fly in and drive it home! She has great road manners from the upgraded Mustang II front end. One finger steering and excellent brakes! No disappointments! Plenty of power but with a refined side that allows you to drive it anywhere without issues or overheating problems. This is a rare classic car with a reserve to protect some of its value. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale. Please enjoy this video: https://youtu.be/ehpD4afLx38 . The Body on this 210 Deluxe is rust free. The current owner purchased it from the original owner in 1999. It was originally a 6-cylinder, 3 on-the-tree car. The body is soooo straight with a gorgeous midnight blue pearl paint job done to a show standard. It is a really stunning paint job! There are no dents or damage and it is stored in a heated garage during the long winter months. The chrome, stainless and brite work on the car is in good-to-excellent condition. The bumpers are nice and shiny with no pitting but some areas the chrome plating is peeling. Door handles need rechroming. Weatherstripping and rubber are in great shape and all doors, trunk and hood operate as they should. The glass has all been replaced, except for the back glass, which is original. However, the new (at the time of restoration) passenger-side door glass cracked just after it was installed. Interior The LIKE NEW black interior was done in 2004 and is in excellent condition still. Everything was replaced from the headliner to the carpeting. No rips or tears. The electrical system was converted to 12 volt but the working dash gauges were not converted over to 12 volt and a new 21 circuit 12-volt wiring harness was installed. Therefore, none of the original 6-volt gauges (including the speedo) on the dash are working. The necessary aftermarket gauges under the dash work fine. The directionals, marker lights, headlights, wiper and horn all work. The original steering wheel is in good condition with minor aging. The Drivetrain is completely rebuilt now with a Machine-shop-built Chevy small block stroker 383 (have all receipts), 350 turbo transmission with a 2,700 stall and 12-bolt POSI rearend (70 Camaro) which all have less than 1,000 miles on them. This stroker runs perfect with plenty of power to light up the tires with a nice rumble to match. It doesn’t leak, smoke or make any noises and doesn’t overheat in city traffic. Over $12,000 spent on the motor, trans and rearend alone. Engine specs: 4-bolt block .030 over with all the machining that goes into building a motor, new cast crank, new cast rods, new hyper flat top pistons and all balanced. New 72cc Dart aluminum heads and all new valve train and new Comp cam (12-677-4). New Edelbrock aluminum intake and 4-barrel carb were also installed. The motor breathes out through fender-well headers into 2 1/2 dual exhaust. The alluminum radiator is brand new. The original fuel tank was cleaned out, washed and tested. Fuel pump is brand new with a ½” pick-up. The Undercarriage is super clean just like the body. Floor pans and frame are original and in good condition. A couple of small patches were installed during the restoration after years of wet shoes on the carpet made a few pin holes. Owner made the repairs at that time. They were done very well, not just a cheap patch job. Nothing major. Trunk drop-offs and trunk floor are original and are very nice. The dual exhaust system looks very good too! The steering has been upgraded to a Mustang II manual rack steering with spindles and control arms. The braking system was also upgraded to a power brake system from a mid-90’s Z/28. The chrome wheels are new as are the tires (205/75R14 & 235/70R15). Other info: This car has no e-brake. Car heater box has been removed but the owner still has it and it will go with the car. The car was repainted in 2003 and it has been driven. So there a just a few minor chips and a minor stress crack in the paint on the passenger side roof area about 1/2" long but nothing major. They applied some clearcoat paint over it to protect against moisture getting underneath the paint and it has been stable for years. The owner does have just over a quart of the original paint for touch ups. There are no keys for the door locks but there keys for the ignition and trunk. The inside driver-side door handle is loose. The owner is trying to find a new one. Car comes with one set of factory keys and clear Ohio title. Please message me for any other info you might want! Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours and a non-refundable $500 Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as cash or bank wire only. Trucks! Always a best-seller, the Chevy C/K series pickups were awesome workhorses but it was only by coincidence that folks discovered that the combination of light weight and a torquey engine made for some entertaining performance as well. So in 1990, Chevrolet created the 454 SS, the smallest, lightest C-series pickup with the biggest, most powerful engine in their arsenal. The result was a sinister black truck that could surprise Mustangs and Camaros on the street and still haul your gear on weekends. Without trucks like this incredible 1-owner 454 SS, we probably wouldn’t have the Ford SVT Lightning and Raptor or the Dodge Ram SRT10. If you’re a fan of big muscle in a truck, this gorgeous black pickup should definitely light your fires. Even better, it’s packing a built big block that delivers on all the promises made by the 454 SS back in the day. Yes, you read that correctly, this is a ONE OWNER truck, purchased new in 1990 by the same guy whose name is on the title today. As a result, it’s beautifully maintained and since it was purchased as a toy, not a daily driver, the paint and bodywork are immaculate. The sole deviation from original specs is a steel cowl induction hood, which works at least as well on this truck as it does on an early Camaro, giving it the last bit of aggression to round out its look. Basic Onyx Black was the only choice in 1990 and it’s really the right one for a machine with this much performance potential, giving the short bed pickup the look of an apex predator on the street. In fact, EVERYTHING was black, including the bumpers, grille, and even the mirrors, offering a brutal statement about performance in the 1990s. And yes, aside from the hood, it’s 100% factory paint that’s in outstanding condition having never been hit or rusty and if this truck has seen rain, it was only in an emergency. The black trim is likewise excellent with no signs of fading or UV damage and all the lenses are bright and clear. More recently, it was treated to a spray-in bedliner which keeps the truck’s utility intact and looks great doing it. Proper 454 SS decals are still affixed to the sides of the bed and show no fading, checking, or peeling and the big CHEVROLET across the tailgate is pretty much the only view most other drivers will see. The only interior was a special Garnet Red bucket seat setup that makes the 454 SS strictly a 2-seater. A center console provides lots of storage and a pair of cup holders and just about every available feature was standard equipment on the top-of-the-line SS. That means A/C, power windows and locks, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and a sliding rear window are included and everything works properly except the cruise (we’ll tell you why in a moment and you won’t care a bit). The A/C is cold enough to store slabs of meat in the cab and while the standard gauges monitor the engine’s vitals, there’s a large Auto Meter tach up on top of the dash, since the factory didn’t offer one in the 1990 models. There’s also the original AM/FM/cassette stereo system in the dash, with the radio adjacent to the driver and the cassette player with integrated graphic equalizer (remember those?) over closer to the passenger. It’s how Chevy did it and it’s actually kind of cool. The bucket seats are comfortable and supportive and show almost zero wear. The same goes for the carpet, which has been protected by heavy-duty floor mats almost since new (there’s a wear spot adjacent to the accelerator pedal despite the factory’s addition of a pad in that spot), and the door panels show little more than a small depression where the driver might have been resting his elbow. They simply don’t come much nicer than this after 25 years. OK, OK, we’re getting to the good stuff. The real appeal of the 454 SS was the big block engine in a half-ton pickup, something that you couldn’t otherwise order from the factory. In the lightweight short bed/regular cab truck, the 454 cubic inch V8’s 230 horsepower and towering 385 pounds of torque made it insanely quick around town and almost unbeatable on the roll—talk about power-to-weight ratios! With that much torque on tap, keeping the tires hooked up was obviously an issue, but that’s also a big part of the fun of an old-fashioned muscle car, er, truck. This truck was never raced or abused, but about 1000 miles ago, a casting defect in the crank caused a catastrophic failure and the original engine had to be scrapped. Rather than try to salvage a questionable block, the guys at Jim Bowen Racing Engines in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania went with an all-new Gen III 454 and built a race-quality stormer that literally DOUBLES the output of the original engine. The block was fully prepped and relieved and it was stuffed with a Scat 4.250 stroke steel crank, Scat I-beam connecting rods, and Keith Black forged aluminum pistons with Total Seal rings and HP bearings throughout. A full roller timing set spins a mechanical roller lifter cam pushing hardened pushrods into roller rockers up top. The heads are aluminum oval port units that have been professionally prepped before being bolted down with a fresh set of ARP head bolts. The cool thing is that they kept the stock intake system, including the fuel injection setup, as well as the cast iron exhaust manifolds, so it looks almost completely stock and starts and idles just like a stocker! The net result, even with the original intake and exhaust, was 430.2 horsepower and 533.3 pounds of torque. Yes, nearly TWICE the original horsepower figures. Of course, all the ancillaries were upgraded at the same time, so there’s a high-flow oil pump with a welded pickup, a new alternator, fresh high-torque starter, and a giant radiator up front that doesn’t get sweaty even on the hottest days with the A/C blasting. A custom exhaust system was fabricated using oversized pipes and a single Flowmaster muffler that splits into twin polished exhaust tips that exit just behind the rear wheels. The TH400 3-speed automatic transmission was also rebuilt and beefed up, while the original 3.73-geared rear end needed no help. There’s so much power on tap that each shift of the transmission doesn’t result in the engine slowing down but rather the rest of the truck being yanked up to speed to match the engine. On the other hand, it’s docile enough for your mother to drive to church. It has an awesome mechanical lifter soundtrack up front and a deep baritone rumble out back that is always pleasant and never overpowering, so you can take a road trip with the A/C blasting and arrive refreshed. It’s very quick off the line, even with traction limitations, but it’s even better on the roll where the gears keep the engine in the sweet spot of its powerband. I don’t know that I’ve driven many vehicles that are faster from, say, 50 to 80 MPH. Even better is how well it rides, thanks to a stock suspension setup with lots of new parts, and it wears unique 454 SS chrome wheels wrapped in fresh 275/60/15 Goodyear radials. This truck is beyond impressive. The preservation and care it has received would make it worth every penny of the asking price, but with a fresh, pro-built, high-performance engine under the hood, it’s the biggest performance bargain we’ve ever offered. It includes the original owner’s manual and paperwork as well as two spare SS wheels that were removed and replaced with NOS pieces simply because they weren’t as nice as the rest of the truck. Prices are all over the map with these trucks, and they range from abused beaters to, well, exceptional machines like this that have not only been carefully driven and maintained, but treated to expensive, high-quality upgrades that don’t compromise usability one bit. Rules, policies, engineering edicts, and other guidelines ensured uniformity and a strict adherence to the Alfred Sloan hierarchy, but creative folks could always find a workaround. But sometimes, GM did it to itself, creating something, then hiding it from the public. The L88 427 Corvette was such a situation, where Chevy hid it in plain sight by giving it an artificially low horsepower rating and a huge price tag to coax buyers into buying a more street-friendly and affordable L71 427/435 instead. But sometimes—sometimes—they just built something then forgot to tell anyone about it at all, and that’s the case with this 1969 Chevrolet Impala SS427 convertible. If you wanted an Impala SS in 1969, a 427 was the only engine choice. The standard engine was the L36 which made 390 horsepower with a hydraulic cam and pretty friendly street manners, ideal for a big luxury car like this. A lesser-known option was the LS1, which made a relatively tame 335 horsepower. But for reasons that aren’t altogether clear, there was a third 427—the legendary L72 425 horsepower version—that GM decided the public didn’t need to know about. No advertising promotions, no mention of this motor in any of the promotional and sales materials, and unless you were sharp with the order form, you probably didn’t even know you could get such a thing in 1969, because Chevy certainly wasn’t talking about it. A total of 546 L72 engines were built and they were installed in a variety of Chevy vehicles (they were not exclusive to the Impala, you could get it in your Kingswood station wagon if you were savvy), making them quite rare. Mission accomplished, Chevrolet! This incredible 1969 Impala SS427 convertible is a real-deal L72 car, purchased new by John Cornstubble (no, I’m not making this up) of El Dorado Springs, Missouri on May 12, 1969. The number of L72 Impala SS427 convertibles built can probably be counted on one hand, making them some of the rarest and most highly-sought of Chevy’s heavy cruisers. Even more significantly, this one is fully documented, with original purchase documents, Protect-O-Plate, and receipts from nearly five decades of life. It still carries its original, numbers-matching L72 427/425 engine and TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and was recently treated to a cost-no-object restoration by the pros at Boot Hill Automotive Resurrection in Toronto, Ontario. We have photographs documenting, well, just about everything as well as significant ownership history and photos of the car in-period. This car has one heck of a pedigree no matter how you look at it. Here are the relevant details: Protect-O-Plate: 164679S (037146) Production # 1: Chevrolet Motor Division 64: Impala 8 cylinder 67: Convertible 9: 1969 T0907LS T: Tonawanda 0907: September 7 build date LS: TH400 for Impala SS 427/425 Hi-Perf L72 69Y275: Build date of the TH400 transmission, October 1st of 1968 (275th day of 1969) DK1015G DK: Posi-Traction 3:55 Large Ring G: Detroit Gear and Axle 1015: October 15, 1968 1: Power steering 1: Power brakes 3: AM radio 3: Front disc brakes Cowl Tag: 69: Model year 1969 1: Chevrolet Motor Division 64: Impala 8 cylinder 67: Convertible STL: St. Louis assembly plant 138170: Sequence number 858: Parchment vinyl bench seat 65: Olympic Gold B: Black vinyl convertible top 10C: Third week of October build date In person, the restoration is simply spectacular. Olympic Gold is this car’s original color and it works rather well on the full-sized ragtop, offering just the right combination of flash and elegance. The car appears to have been extremely solid prior to the restoration and as far as we can tell, it’s still wearing all its original sheetmetal, including floors and quarter panels. The big doors open and close so easily and precisely that your first few slams are a little too hard, and the hood latches with just your fingertips. The two-stage urethane paint has a fantastic shine complements of some of the best guys in the business, and it has been color-sanded and buffed to a fantastic shine. All of the correct emblems are in place, and yes, for those of you wondering, that stick-on deck lid ‘SS’ is how the factory did it. The bumpers have been refinished, the stainless is polished, and if there’s any demerit on the car, one of the wheel arch moldings has a few minor dings in it, as it is surely original. But there just aren’t many nits to pick on this gorgeous car. The cowl tag says this car original carried a Parchment interior, but when it was restored it was treated to a correct black interior instead, and the contrast is striking. Obviously, as a color change, everything in the car was replaced with a brand new piece, including the seat covers, door panels, side panels, and all the little detail pieces in between. The dash pad is excellent and the carpets are brand new, replicating the original weave. The upscale Impala also received some warm-looking faux wood accents that perfectly match the woodgrained steering wheel, which sits on an optional tilt steering column, a rather rare option, SS or not. This car also carries factory power windows, which is a very desirable feature in a big luxury car like this, and the wide bench seats mean there’s plenty of room for everyone when you go cruising. The gauges show bright, crisp markings and we strongly suspect that the 43,500 or so miles shown on the odometer is correct, as it was not rolled back during the restoration. The only notable deviation from stock is a later digital AM/FM/cassette stereo radio in the dash, but the original pushbutton AM radio is included with the sale of the car if you’d like to take it back to 100% stock condition. The top is brand new black vinyl with a correct glass rear window, and it powers itself up and down easily, latching at the header without a struggle. It fits beautifully and we suspect that our photo session was the first time it’s ever been down. The good stuff is all under the hood, however. The L72 is the real deal, with a fantastic big camshaft idle and a torque curve that feels like it could pull forever. While someone with true performance intentions might have purchased a Chevelle or even a Camaro in 1969, lucky Mr. Cornstubble got a full-sized luxury car that hits several levels below its weight class, because it is surprisingly fast. The engine was fully rebuilt to stock specs and still carries its original cylinder heads and correct aluminum “Winters” intake with a big Holley 4-barrel up top. It starts easily and while it’s a bit grumpy when it’s cold, it is nevertheless content to idle all day and sits in traffic without getting cranky. The engine bay is detailed for show, with Chevy Orange paint on the block itself and proper fasteners and hardware throughout. There are some who say that the L72 should have an open-element air cleaner, but it appears that this air cleaner has been on the car from a very early age, perhaps even when it was new, and the original chrome valve covers were replaced with painted valve covers simply because the owner liked the low-key look better (the original chrome valve covers are included with the car). An Optima battery provides the juice and makes the big, high-compression V8 spin over easily, although it’s not 100% authentic, of course. Underneath, the original TH400 3-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt and bolted to the back of the 427 and linked to a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end with 3.55 gears and a Posi limited slip unit inside. Much of the suspension features upgraded Hotchkis components, including a pair of seriously beefy sway bars, because the intention was to build an L72 that would be a blast to drive. You’ll also find a beautifully crafted stainless steel exhaust system with welds that should be on display in a museum; it’s just beautifully done. The floors, frame, and suspension components are in exemplary condition with correct hardware used throughout, so it wouldn’t take much to put this car into 100% original, show-worthy shape, but it would truly be a shame to take it off the road. Simple color-matched steel wheels with “dog dish” hubcaps were how this car came from the factory, so they were cleaned, painted, and fitted with fat 235/75/15 Coker redline radials for a period-perfect look. Documentation is pretty extensive. There’s the original Protect-O-Plate and service booklet, manuals, and an album full of restoration photos, all of which will accompany the car. This is quite likely the finest of its kind anywhere, and with a strong pedigree and equally strong performance, this awesome Imp makes for the best kind of hobby car. corporation like General Motors.
