So take a look at the value price now because this one might not last long enough to read the whole listing. That paint you're staring at isn't black...it's black cherry. That means it looks dark as midnight until the sunlight hits it, and then some deep red tones start to come out. In other words, you won't be able keep them away at the car show. CST (Custom Sport Truck) was the top trim that would be replaced by the Cheyenne in later years, and that means plenty of brightwork that goes well beyond the big bumpers. You get some nice extra body stainless, including the upper and lower body side accents. In fact, the lower one still wears its factory-correct 70s-cool wood strip within the brightwork, and this premium design touch continues on the tailgate, too. Plus, if you like wood, it's a nice touch in the bed floor since you don't see very often on the fleetside trucks. And keeping with the classic style there are even Chevy rally wheels. Inside is a nice mix of performance and comfort. Driver and passenger get plush individual seats with a cup holder center console in between. Your left hand rests on the Grant GT three-spoke steering wheel, and it will be hard to get your right one away from that shiny B&M sports shifter. An upgraded stereo is headed by an AM/FM/cassette, but the rest of the original pieces are still in place like the hear/defrost controls. One look under the hood, and you know this pickup has some fire-breathing power. That's a 454 cubic-inch V8 that's been enlarged even further by a bored .040 kit, but the performance improvement don't stop there. More upgrades include a Demon 850 CFM four-barrel racer carburetor, Edelbrock Performer Air-Gap high-rise intake, TRW rods, high volume oil pump, hydraulic lifters, hardened pushrods, 3/4 race cam. The motor exhales with a sweet rumble thanks to Hooker Super Comp ceramic headers that connect to a Flowmaster dual exhaust. So yes, this is one pickup has the kind of power that makes muscle cars jealous. Just to make sure it can showcase its full performance on the streets, the TH400 three-speed automatic has been built to take 1,000 hp and has a 2400 stall converter installed. This sends power to the stout 12-bolt Positratction rear end running a 3.73 ratio, which is quite useful in a big power machine like this. These C10s are really sought-after because of their trailing arm rear suspension, which helps makes these Chevys hold the road better than most other vintage pickups. This is great for a better ride, and a welcomed component to get the most out of this high horsepower truck. But this also has some nice daily driver features, too, such as the power steering, front disc brakes, and modern BF Goodrich tires at all four corners. This is one pickup that has had a lot invested to keep it looking beautiful and vintage on the outside. Of course once you fire up that monster big block that lies within, all everyone else will see is a dark intimidating muscle car eater. Hurry up because all of this cannot last long at this price. You can instantly tell there was a lot of time, care, and money invested in getting this car into this superior condition. A full rotisserie restoration in 2007 means the body you show the public is straighter and more uniform than what came out of the factory 47 years ago. The reapplication of the code 53 Glacier Blue means this car looks correct but has an extra sparkle in the sunlight that can only come from a professional respray with modern paint formulas. And it's good that no one changed the color on this because the light blue is the perfect compliment to the pristine white top. The final coordinating piece is the correct SS396 white side stripes that emphasizes the gentle arc of the '69 Chevelle's profile. The chrome on the Super Sport is a bit more understated then on the standard Malibu, and so that means every piece of brightwork needs to really shine to standout. That's why it's good to see everything from the big bumpers to the delicate trim around the wheel arches replaced during restoration. But as much as this convertible goes for elegance, no one will mistake it for a pushover thanks to the correct five-spoke SS wheels. Parchment/white bucket seats are what you get with this factory code 791 interior. The original center console is excellent, and comes complete with everyone's favorite horseshoe shifter. This coupe feels exceptionally original inside with the carpets, door panels, and dash all looking amazing. The driver gets the three-spoke sports wheel, and beyond that is the round gage setup that even includes a tach. This looks and feels the best on the bench seat that has been sculpted to deliver individual-bucket style comfort. There's plenty of other nice features for you and your passenger that ranges from the AM/FM/cassette stereo that can be adapted for more modern tunes to vents for air conditioning. The driver gets an aggressive Grant GT steering wheel, and beyond that are a full set of VDO gauges. To the left of the steering column is also a large tach, which is a nice hint at what's under the hood. If you were missing any of the brightwork on the exterior, the engine bay more than makes up for it. But beneath the great-looking sea of coral and chrome is also some real substance. The motor exhales through long tube headers on its way through the glasspack exhaust. This Sting Ray gives very few hints at the modern car that lies beneath the surface. Instead it just looks like nicely restored 'Vette. This satisfying appearance starts with a professional respray of the factory Ermine White. It looks bright and deep like a modern clearcoat paint should. The trim is complete, which is something you love to see because these early C2s had some intricate details everything from the thin stylized bumpers, to the Corvette name in cursive on the rear. It has the stinger hood with black accents, and since this wasn't a '64 option, it's one of your few cues that there has been some heavy investment in tearing up the streets. The other exterior custom touch is the set of ARE torque thrust wheels. These are a timelessly tasteful add-on, and few people realize it helps house the larger 17-inch tires. None of this gets in the way of the core feeling that the Sting Ray was one of the most influential designs of the decade, and even over fifty years later, it remains instantly recognizable and still resonates with enthusiasts. The interior is also about appearing original with subtle upgrades. It starts with black vinyl bucket seats that looks so new they should be wrapped in plastic. Beyond the three-spoke word-rimed steering wheel, you'll see that all the correct instruments are in place. Not only do they look good with the shiny bezels, but more importantly, everything works even the clock! If these bright elements have your eye, then you might start to spot a few of the new pieces. The radio is now a JVC AM/FM/cassette player that's adaptable for more modern tunes. Plus, there are those bright vents under the dash that pump out the ice-cold air conditioning running modern R-134a. But any thoughts that this Corvette is running anything close to stock is completely blown away the moment you pop the hood. That's a Corvette motor, but it's an LT4 variety that would have come in the 1996 Grand Sport. So the fuel-injected callouts on the fenders of this coupe aren't liars, they are just correct in a very unique way. As much as you know this is a more modern V8, it still looks at home in the engine bay - especially with the classic '60s-style shine on the valve covers and Hooker performance headers. But beyond just looking great, it has the reliability of a more modern motor backed up by an electric fan, new wires, new belts, and steel braided hoses. It makes for a performance package that growls like a good Corvette should, but it has a distinctly more mature and even tone that tells you this one is powered by something special. For true restomod status you need more than just an updated engine. The fully independent suspension has been updated with more modern performance components, including an SSBC Force 10 four-wheel disc brake package. To make sure this can be enjoyed to the fullest on the backroads, you have complete control with a four-speed manual transmission, and a versatile 3.70 rear end with Positraction. Capping it all off are a set of grippy BE Goodrich gForce tires. The well-done Corvette restomods are a fun topic at the car show, and this one will put you in the center of all the action. The factory never put this face on Silverados, but a few clever people in the custom car community realized that the rare face Chevy gave to the final years of the K5 Blazer would also fit on these trucks for a very distinctive and cool look. Silverados are known for their bright trim, which does a particularly nice job of adding distinction to the sinisterly dark black paint. This mean attitude is only heightened by the lowered stance on the large 20-inch BOSS wheels. But as much as this is a street-eating machine, it can still pull real truck duty with the spray-in bed liner, dual gas tanks, and hitch attachment in the rear step bumper. Inside the black velour interior does a nice job of providing comfortable seating for three without losing the midnight mind-set. In fact, the door panels, carpet, and dashboard all keep this dark attitude going with their deep black appearance. Jack "Iron Man" Ingram is one of the most celebrated Busch Grand National racers of all time, and he took this exact 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to the victory circle victory over and over again. Vintage racecars are really starting to have their day. We're beginning to realize that we need to cherish the few survivors. Most of our favorite cars were tools that were used until there was nothing left. That's what gets us so excited about this ex-Ingram car. His crew chief, the legendary car builder Banjo Matthews constructed the chassis. Ingram raced this one from 1974 until the fall of 1976, including his victory at the 1975 Daytona Permatex 300. It would then be handed down to other future Hall of Fame drivers such as Donnie Allison and David Pearson. The car enjoyed a long carrier because it had a reputation for being seriously quick (it even held a long-standing speed record at Charlotte Motor Speedway.) But you couldn't see much of that history left when the current owner bought the car 15 years ago at an auction. Next, he spent many laborious hours returning this car to the glory right down to the correct sponsors and famous #11 Ingram's celebrated bronze car. The current owner was rewarded for his efforts when this car spent 2014 in the Hall of Honor when Ingram was featured there at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. This Monte Carlo comes from some of the final days when stock cars were still based on what you could pick up at the dealership, but that does not mean you get a velour interior in this Chevy. Instead, this one is ready to go vintage racing with the period-correct seat, Simpson harness, and driver's net. There is no center console; just the fire extinguisher and roll cage. This is a pure race machine, and you know it because the tach is your largest instrument and the Hurst shifter is your brightest piece of chrome. Under the hood is a true competition motor that runs on race gas. It's a 364 cubic-inch V8 with a bored 0.30 kit and dry sump lubrication. It looks great with the classic Edelbrock Scorpion Intake manifold, four-barrel carburetor, and Moroso air cleaner. This is a 400 hp package that is backed up by a five-speed manual transmission and a full race chassis. You even get four-wheel disc brakes. That means it has a deep and bold red that grabs all the attention at the cruise-in, but when the time is right, this coupe also has the power to prove it's the king of the streets. Brandywine Kandy Metallic that's the name of the paint that's grabbing your attention. It's obviously not a factory color, and instead the product of modern paint applied with enough clearcoat to make it look dripping wet. No blemished or ill-fitting panels could hide from this special paintwork. It consumes all the light around and radiates it back out in a mirror shine. So while it looks exceptional in pictures, it's utterly amazing in person. With paint this spectacular, nothing but the best brightwork will do. Every piece of chrome appears in pristine condition, from the wide stock bumpers to the trim around the new glass. It's all capped off with shiny 17-inch Smoothie five-spoke wheels from the late hot rod guru Boyd Coddington. The interior is fresh, premium, and is accented by the same candy-coated red paint. The black vinyl buckets do the perfect job of being exceptionally comfortable, but the seatbacks don't rise above the doorline. This is particularly important because people can see all the way through the side view on this pillarless hardtop, which is always the coolest kind of profile. Beyond the grippy stylized steering wheel, there is a Dakota Digital gauge package to make sure all the necessary info from the motor can be monitored. The manual transmission shifter is in the perfect position for powering through the gears, as well as a comfortable place to rest your arm when you're cruising on a Saturday night. While there are plenty of modern touches, you still get that great classic feel with items like the SS center console and the original AM radio. Besides the cool appearance, we know the radio wasn't upgraded simply because no better sound than this Nova's hypnotic roar coming out of the tailpipes. Open the hood and just wait for the awards to come pouring in. The big block V8 has been punched out to a huge 468 cubic-inches. But this monster motor is really a brute in a tuxedo. The engine bay dressed with more of that amazing exterior red and the engine is covered in only red and chrome. But beyond the appearance this one really knows how to run. The V8 was professionally rebuilt with components like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performance intake, long tube headers, and Flowmaster dual exhaust. This rumbling intimidation machine produces around 500 horsepower. Making sure all the power can reliably get to the road is a Muncie HD four-speed manual transmission and a stout 12-bolt rear end that's running a 3.73 ratio for power take-offs. But that's far from the whole story on this one. Make sure you look at the undercarriage photos. Not only can you really tell the quality of the restoration by the paintwork on the frame and underbody, but also you'll see the reinforced A-arm independent front suspension and four-link rear end with coilovers. If that wasn't enough to make you want to go out cruising, this very special Nova also has power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and grippy Kumho tires at every corner. This is the Nova that goes to the front of the line at car shows and doesn't get left behind at the traffic light. And for those who are really taking notice of the details, this Nova subtly stands out with a unique take on Chevy's Rally wheel package. The work on the interior has erased much of this Nova's economy car roots. The new high back bucket seats provide the kind of modern bolstering that gives you all-day comfort. In between them is a useful center console that even includes cup holders (a small item that we all wish were in our classic at one time or another.) There's even a substantial AM/FM/CD stereo system and provisions for air conditioning. But as much as this Nova has been upgraded for creature comforts, it's still a driver's machine at heart. You feel it the moment you slip behind the fat three-spoke sports steering wheel. Ahead of you there's a nice set of Dolphin gauges giving you all the pertinent info. Mounted on the column is a big Sun Pro tach in case you want to do your own shifting with that T-bar Hurst performance shifter. Under the hood is Chevy's trusty small-block V8 with plenty of new hoses and wires to let you know there's a lot of business going on in there. But once you dig a little deeper, you see all the components that can really get you excited. This includes performance items like the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performance intake, and M/T valve covers. This feeds long-tube ceramic headers that connect to a stainless steel dual exhaust with performance H-pipe construction. So it doesn't take much imagination to understand that this Nova has a serious bark and the bite to back it up. In fact, you really should take a look at the undercarriage photos to appreciate how much work has gone into this classic Chevy even on the places that anyone rarely sees. Still, we wouldn't blame you if all you wanted to do was use this budget-friendly Nova for Saturday night cruising.
