This car is a fresh frame off restoration with every nut and bolt being addressed, so no need to ask the answer is yes it is new or reconditioned. The frame was stripped sealed and painted. This car was in the same family from 1966 until early last year when it went under the complete restoration. This is a power convertible top and power steering car with automatic trans. The car runs strong, and sounds awesome. The car has recently had new belts, new fluids, new Alternator. All suspension components, and brakes are in good working condition. The trans is a 350 Turbo, with shift kit. The rear end is a stock 8.5 10 Bolt Posi, with 3:73 gear, Sway bar, and coil over shocks. and with new bearings and fluids. This car runs strong, and is a blast to drive.EXTERIORThis Chevelle has a very slick paint job, on a laser straight, solid, scratch and dent free body. The car was professionally painted with PPG basecoat/ clearcoat, and has been garage kept and well maintained for shows and cruise in's, and shows mirror like reflections as can be seen in the pictures. Beautifully restored 1953 Corvette 121st ever made!...stored year round in a temperature controlled bubble. Museum Quality. All photos are of actual vehicle for sale.. 1953 was the first year the Corvette was produced, it is the original "Classic Corvette". It debuted at the 1953 GM Motorama at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. It was outfitted with a 6 cylinder "Blue-Flame" engine that produced 150 hp mated to a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. All 300 Corvettes that were produced in 1953 came with the same options and they were all painted "Polo White" with a red interior. Also included on all 1953's were whitewall tires and two-spinner hub caps. They also did not have outside door handles. To get in the car you must reach inside to open the door. 301 1953 Corvettes were built in Flint, Michigan at a temporary facility in the rear of Chevrolet's customer delivery garage on Van Slyke Ave. The first production 1953 Corvette was built on June 30, 1953. Because of the short production run the 1953 model it is the rarest of all Corvettes. After the first 301 were assembled, production moved to the new St. Loius factory. Zora Arus-Duntov joined Chevrolet this year, he would eventually become the Chief Engineer for Corvette. I bought this 2014 Silverado 1500 4WD Double Cab LT with the Rally-2 Edition package and 5.3 V8 earlier this year. As you can see by the miles only being 1200, it doesn't get driven enough to justify keeping in the garage. Very sharp truck with all the toys and blacked out look provided by Chevrolet from the factory. Factory 22"s and on/off road all terrain tires. Chevrolet introduced this package for the 2015 model year, but a few were produced for 2014. This is one of those. No issues whatsoever and like new. MSRP was $45130.
