PLEASE - DO NOT BID UNTIL YOU TALK TO ME LIVE - 1968 camaro ss 350/295hp coupe california car for 37 years body cowl tag reads ( los 01 d y-2 712 = LA plant 4th week of jan 1968 ) butternut yellow paint black interior top and stripe jan updated ss stripe set with big block style hood inserts. (original gm inserts are choice) a true supersport surviver not another tribute or clone vin stamped numbers match engine ( v 1227 mu = dec 27 1967) and powerglide freshly rebuilt ( trans is also vin stamped ) engine and trans have around 3k miles since being done. engine built by steves percision machine shop in tigard and the powerglide was done by tualatin transmission casting date on # 678 block - ( L 22 7 = dec 22 1967 ) 5 days from stamp date which is 3 1/2 weeks prior to cowl tag date. # 803 intake # 608 waterpump # 291 heads # 678 block engine has some upgrades including forged speed pro pistons a r p rod bolts all re-balanced 2.02 1.60 stainless valves in the # 291 heads all comp cams parts 480 lift new 650 holley duel feed single pump with electric choke also a big block repro open chrome air cleaner california body is not rusty ( both front fenders have a small hole on the lower rear section each about the size of a dime or so ) that is the only rust i could find on the entire car. under the old vinyl top it has the usual bubbles. the paint is mostly factory original. you can see my brush touch work on spots of the car, the paint was just getting thin i also painted the nos valance and nos header panel. both parts still have the gm stickers on the bottom ) the new grille, upper and lower grille mldgs and h/l bezals are factory gm parts the headlamps are original t-3's and clean comes with one blue california licence plate inc tag dated 1981. car stored inside. great color combination and some rare factory options air conditioning ( air / cond is complete but not working, compressor is bad ) power windows ( all new wiring harness /boots/ect ) bucket seats with console floor shift auto trans fold down rear seat two speed rear defogger stainless four piston power front disc brakes quick power steering ( only available on a real ss or z car ) deluxe bumper guards 14x6 d.g. rally wheels with new radial t/a's original dated 12 bolt rearend (BL 0110 G2 = jan 10 1968) lots of other new parts on this car not noted, some are nos some are classic industries junk parts from china. (very little) includes large addco sway bars kyb gas shocks hooker headers - ( 3 chamber delta series flowmasters with 2 1/2 pipes and crossover ) the engine sounds and runs strong. this z-27 also has new seat skins and cushions, along with new pui door panels arm rests rear side panels, oer console with flocked bottom and lid and 80/20 carpet set. the carpet on the back of the fold down is original and choice. this will be a high dollar car when completed i have owned it for 10 years sorry to see it go lots of money already spent. lots more money needed ( useless you do body and paint work or can get a deal) finish this restoration to your standards price includes a black vinyl top assy and correct black ss stripe kit both new in box please only contact me if you are a serious buyer with funds ready no trades no help selling of any kind car is sold -as is- and will be cash in hand when you pick it up. bid to own not to inspect. e-mail your contact info / questions thanks for looking

This is an amazing, fully numbers matching, RS/SS 396 Camaro that was rotisserie restored about four years ago. Used extensively in it's early life, by the time it was five years old it had already acquired 75K miles. Then, in 1974 it was put away, not to see the light of day again until it was exhumed and restored in 2011. The result is a completely authentic car that has all of its original, numbers-matching components from bumper to bumper. The only thing that was added was power steering. The motor, transmission, rear end, carburetor, starter, alternator, and water pump are all numbers-matching and of course date-code correct. 1996 Z/28, White, LT1 5.7 engine (no engine mods). Only 79k original miles. Paint is all original and in near perfect condition. No body work, no dents, dings etc... Original mint condition chrome wheels and Falken tires. Six speed manual transmission. Rare Non T-tops car. Car is loaded and everything works as it did new from the factory. Never been smoked in. All seals are in excellent condition. Leather interior, Kenwood deck (KDC X597 w/remote), no stains, rips, tears, etc... No stains on carpet. Has been garaged it's entire life and never driven in the rain. Clean inside, outside, under hood and under carriage. Currently running synthetic oil. Cranks, runs, idles like new. Great feeling brakes, newer brake pads and rotors. Never raced. Adult owned. Completely unmolested car except Magnaflow exhaust and K&N drop in filter. Owner's manual, 2 sets of chip keys, 2 key fobs, and other original paperwork that came with the car new. Car is driven occasionally so the mileage will vary slightly. The 1996 Camaro saw minor mechanical revisions, as well as small power gains from the new OBD II-compliant engine controls. V8 models still came with the 5.7 LT1 engine. The dual catalytic converters required by OBD-II resulted in lower restriction and a mild power boost to 285 hp (213 kW) and 325 lb·ft (441 N·m) of torque. Available was a 4-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed (V8) manual transmission. Hagerty Vehicle Condition 2 - #2 cars could win a local or regional show. They can be former #1 cars that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws, but will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint, chrome, glass and interior will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup, no unusual noises will emanate from the engine compartment. The vehicle will drive as a new car of its era would. The one word description for #2 cars is "excellent."
