This is a second owner C4. The drive train is a L-98/350 with a 6 speed manual transmission. This car is fully loaded including glass targa top and adjustable suspension on the fly. It has been garage/shop kept since day one. Previous owner added front spoiler and repainted entire car in 1998 to match color exactly The color code is Dark Red Metallic. This car is a true survivor of the C4 era. Most of these years are really in bad shape. The car has been owned by non-smokers. The motor is 100% stock and has never been opened up. It burns no oil and the car has zero rust. I give the paint an 8/10 and the interior a 9/10 due to a few small tears in side of drivers seat. This cars starts everytime, runs good thru all RPM ranges and idles without overheating in brutal Louisiana summer traffic. The sub box comes out in 2 minutes to make room for luggage, etc.. The A/C blows ice cold and will freeze you out. The car sounds good due to the Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers. It is not loud and obnoxious...it juts has a small rumble to at least not sound like a V6. The original wheels will go with the sale and I have included a pic of the car with them before the tint and new wheels. Buy with confidence and drive it anywhere. Good luck bidding. Of the vintage pickups the Chevrolet Cheyenne C-10 tends to be among the most popular. In addition to their classic look these pickups get the job done. This 1972 C-10 Cheyenne is a short wheel base pickup. It is a mostly original pickup with no major customizations. Spent most its time in South Tenn. and in south La. It is coated in color combo of dark Red and White but has been repainted once. The factory SPID was paint over sorry to say so i do not know the original equipment. The trim work is starting to show its age but it along with the chrome bumpers still have a nice shine. Side mirrors are in place on both sides and are adjustable. All of the glass is in good shape and has a slight tint. The aftermarket Pacer 15 "wheels are in place under all four corners and all have nice looking center caps. Each is wrapped with Goodyear wingfoot HP tires with very low miles. The 350 (83 roller block) /TH350 drive train with Holly carb gets the truck rolling with no issues. It is a good driver and has plenty of power, Flowmaster 40 dual exhaust system, serpentine belt setup and large electric fan that is controlled by relays to keep it running cool. All the lights and turn signals work with no issues. 10 bolt open rear end (3.73) The original power brakes (disc up front), power steering and aftermarket air conditioning and heat are all working properly and are nice options to have from the factory. The interior of the truck is in great shape and utilizes Red upholstery to match the exterior. The bench seat is comfortable and has matching seat belts in place. Tilt column The dash is painted Red as well and is topped with all of the original style components. Power windows where also added. All of the gauges with Tach work as does the aftermarket FM radio. Whether you are looking for a solid work truck, daily driver, classic for the local car shows, or a light project for cosmetic restoration this is one you need to check out. This is a 1970 SS clone. The body has less than 50K original miles. The new drivetrain has less than 2500. The motor is a 10.2:1, pump gas 496ci dynoed at Larry Meaux Racing. With a 950 Holley it made 632HP/597TQ. This is a no nonsense, meat and potoatoes big block build. The TH400 was built by Shexneyder Racing and includes a PTC 2800 10" with a reverse manual valvebody. 4.10 Richmond gears in the rearend. The car is driven on weekends and will cruise in stop and go traffic in Louisiana summers without overheating. The car has been to the track once. This 4000lb car and driver ran 11.20@122mph spinning the street tires on 89 octane, thru full 3" tailpipes. This combination will certainly dive in to the mid 10's with open exhaust and slicks. Even though its sports a .714 lift ,solid roller camshaft, it idles nicley at 850-900 rpms. It is very mild mannered until you open her up. This is not a show car or garage queen but I would still give it an 8 out of 10 in all categories. The car is very basic and old school. There is no power brakes, no power steering, no electric fans and no electric fuel pump. I built this to be simple and reliable..... a wolf in sheeps clothing. The car has MT radials but includes a set of Hoosier QTP on an extra set of rims in the sale. A 3 point aftermarket seatbelt system is installed also. This makes you feel more comfortable when your spinning the tires at 55mph. This is a turn key sale...not a half finished project. This car garners attention every where I go. The 3" Flowmasters complete the total package. There is no hiding the monster under the hood. This is not an auction or reserve. It has its listed price. I have over 50k invested. 12k in the motor alone. If you want an original, numbers matching, show car.... then this is not for you. If you want a machine that Detroit should have built...then you are looking in the right direction. The car is for sale locally and I have the right to end the sale at any time.
