Taking offers on a solid and very hard to find 1948 Chevy Sedan Delivery. This is a car, it is NOT the Panel Truck. Solid body, as it was originally from Texas. It was repainted in laquer at one time and it is checking and cracking. I feel this adds to its character and planned to leave the paint as is and drive it as a hot rod. The right quarter or fender was not rusted or dented. The laquer was coming off, so it was sanded and primed. I can't find a single dent in the body of this car! I did find one ding in the right rear bumperette. The chrome has some pitting and rust as seen in pics. There are some holes in the floor, but easily repaired. The frame is solid. It still has the original 216 I6 engine and three-in-the tree. It runs well enough to drive around the block or pull onto a trailer. The engine does not smoke and has normal oil pressure, but it runs rough. I believe the rockers may be overtightened, as it does not tap as a solid lifter engine should. I do believe these had solid lifters, so someone may have overtightened them thinking it was hydraulic. The odometer reads 53,500 miles, and the numbers are straight and true. I believe it may be the original mileage based on the straightness of the body and lack of smoke. Also, the driveline feels tight. I may try adjusting the lifters if I get a chance, but it's hard on the back (herniated discs). My plan was to install an S10 frame under it (I have an extremely solid '98 S10 in another auction), or a IFS kit, then an LS1 and 6-speed and Camaro disc brake posi rear (which I have and may be available at extra cost). It has been converted to 5 X 4-3/4" bolt pattern from the original 6 X 5.5". Front disc brakes (drilled and slotted rotors) and a new aluminum dual reservoir master cylinder was installed. The headlights were changed to 12 volt, but the car will need to be wired. The original glass lens it still on the tail light, and I planned on adding two more and using the center as a third brake light. The glass is all good and the windows roll up and down. And yes, the rear side windows came that way from the factory! It also has the optional wind-up clock, but it's not working. If you tap it, it will click for a second. It seems to have been over-wound, so it should be fixable. It also has the optional ashtray. I have some, but not all of the moldings. I planned to fill the holes and smooth it anyway. Come take a look and make an offer. I think you'll be impressed. I have too many vehicles and not enough time and space. Plus the old back is hurting! These are worth $35-$50,000 when finished. Call with questions or offers at 724-523-2947. MAKE ME AN OFFER. CASH TALKS!! The car is located near Jeannette, Pa., zip code 15644. I'm right off US Route 30, about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh. THE TITLE IS NOT BACK FROM THE DMV AT THIS TIME, BUT I WILL HAVE IT WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS. Thanks, Steve AGAIN, CALL ME AT 724-523-2957 TO DISCUSS DETAILS OR OFFERS.

This is a 1941. It drives like a 1941. It has an amature restoration done back in the 90's. So although is looks good from 20' , it could be smoothed up and repainted to take it to the next level. It is fine for me and is a lot of fun to drive to cruise nights. It has a dependable drive train with dual turbo mufflers and a chevy rear end. Not a 12 bolt. The fuel cell, electric fuel pump and battery are mounted in the bed . It has a new painless wiring harness in it with lots of extra curcuits for options if you want to add them. I also installed LED turn signals and brake lights. The gas gauge is not hooked up. There is a wire to the fuel cell but no sending unit in the tank. I would like cash or a wire transferr. Truck will not leave hear without payment in full. Transportation is up to you, but I can help get it loaded. I have used auto transporters before so I know you have to be available when they are in your area.

For sale is my 1955 Chevy second series truck. The paint is decent and driver quality (20 footer), the body is extremely straight and rust-free. I can find no body filler, and the truck is from California. It has an export VIN, so I'm guessing it was exported to Mexico, as it's that solid. It was registered in California in the 80's and 90's, and was purchased about 2.5 years ago by a couple in Portland Oregon for their private collection. I bought the truck in January and it still had it's original 235 inline 6 cylinder and toploader 4 speed on the floor (three speed plus a DEEP granny low). I've since installed a brand GM Goodrich 350 crate engine with new Edelbrock intake and 600 cfm carburetor, new Pertronix Flamethrower distributor and coil, new Taylor wires, new high temp coated ram's horn manifolds, etc... It runs great, and should make about 250 horsepower and 300+ lb. ft. of torque. I reused the toploader transmission by finding the correct cast iron bellhousing, and installed a new Pioneer cast steel flywheel. As mentioned above, I can find no body filler, but there is on patch tig welded in the floor (see last picture). They typically rusted through due water accumulating under the rubber mat. I've installed carpet for a little more luxurious feel and a nicer look. The rest of the interior was already done when I bought it, and looks very nice. I removed the heater box, but it did not leak, the fan works great, and all the parts are in a box and will be included with sale. The lights, turn signals, horn, wipers, and gauges all work, but I did disconnect the ammeter and install a voltage gauge under the dash. The oak in the bed could use refinishing, and there are dents and dings inside the bed on the sides, but they're not visible outside. It also has drum brakes and the original suspension, but brakes well and steers just as you'd expect. These are not meant for slalom racing! Please call me at 724-523-2947 with any questions, or to request more pics. I DO NOT text. The truck is located near Jeannette, Pa., or about 4 miles east of PA turnpike exit 67 on US Route 30. Come take a look and make an offer. Cash talks!
