Up for sale is a super nice 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. I have set the reserve at a very reasonable figure for such a nice Z28. To the best of my knowledge I am the third owner of this Z28 that was originally purchased from the local Chevy dealer. At the time of purchase the original owner had it Ziebart undercoated, because of that and the fact that it has never been in any snow, salt or even left outside for any period of time it is a rust free, rock solid, super straight Z28. When I purchased this Z28 over four years ago I thought I was going to be able to keep it so I went through it from one end to the other and have all receipts to prove what has been done to it. I also have both build sheets. Body: The body is super straight with very nice lines. The paint is mostly original paint. The nose has ben repainted along with a few spots here and there with a perfect paint match. Decals are very close to perfect with just a couple small spots where they lifted and repaired. Suspension: Every wearable part in the suspension has been replaced including but not limited to: ball joints, springs, all bushings, tie rods, sway links, & shocks. After all the parts were replaced a complete alignment was performed. The spec sheet is available. Engine & Transmission: The original engine had a lifter noise when I purchased it. So it was removed, inspected and rebuilt by Foster Racing Engines of Jackson, MI. with all machine work done by Precision Engine, also of Jackson, MI. It is the original block bored .30 over with all the original tin and crank. The original 194 heads were junk when GM made them so they were replaced with a set of drilled GM LT1 2:02 camel hump heads that were also completely redone with all new valves, springs, guides and seals. Everything else in the engine is new including but not limited to Eagle, Speedpro, Edelbrock, Melling the list goes on. When the engine was out a complete new LUK clutch kit, OEM fork and pivot ball were also installed. The transmission shifted perfect but was still inspected. New bushings were installed in the shifter along with two U-joints. Interior: The interior is very nice with a perfect dash. The seats and belts are original and very nice. New components include but not limited to sail panels, headliner with trim, rear armrest, package tray, carpet, door trim. The end result is a super strong running and very nice driving Z28. This is a drive able project. It comes with clear Michigan Title. It was a roller when I got it off the H.A.M.B. 3 or 4 yrs ago. I was putting it together to be used as a shop vehicle as well as taking it to Onondaga Drag way. The front clip was pulled,sandblasted and primed with zinc primer. I then fitted a crate GM 350ci/290 SBC along with a TH350 transmission. I modified the engine with 1.6 stainless roller rockers,headers,MSD Ignition, Holley Street Avenger Carb. Estimated at 325hp. New deep oil pan for Chevy II steering. New engine mounts. Almost everything installed is new parts. The torque converter is a B&M 2700 Hole Shot and the trans had a B&M Shift Kit installed. The driveshaft was custom built by Advantage Drive line with seamless tubing. The rear differential housing is from a 56 Chevy and it comes with two (2) center sections already set up,ready to go. One center section is a Corvettes Posi with 4.56 gears and the other is an open center section with 3.08 gears from 62 Chevy II. The buyer will get both setups so you will be able to drive around d town and then if you want to go bracket race,switch in the 4.56 gears. The suspension has been updated with new springs and shock at all 4 corners. The rear springs are Calvert Racing Split Monoleafs with traction bars. The front brakes have been updated to disc brakes with new calipers,rotors,pads. The master is now a dual master cylinder and also has a Wilwood Adjustable Proportioning Valve, along with all new brake lines and fuel lines. We also welded HD frame connectors so that car will not twist. The radiator was replaced with an aluminum radiator and electric fan that is run on a switch tho there is a sensor if you want it to run automatically. The shifter is a new B&M floor shifter. The battery is now located in the back and is inside a Moroso sealed battery box. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Like I said before if you start adding up all the parts that have been installed, you will come up with a dollar figure that is well above what the asking price is and that doesn't include the labor to install and modify nor does that include the original price of the car. I have another deal that I need to follow through on and thus, this car needs to go so that I can follow through with that deal. Otherwise this car would not be going anywhere. This car is sold as is, where is. It comes with a clean clear Michigan Title. The car will need to be completely paid for within 7 days and I will need to have a deposit paid of at least $500 through PayPal within 24 hrs. If you need to do something different, then you will need to call me. Obviously I would prefer cash in hand. As far as picking the car up. It is stored at my shop and is inside the shop every night. It will continue to be inside at night until it is picked up by buyer. I will guarantee that the car will be safe and as is until it is picked up by buyer.
