1956 Four Door Chevrolet Bel Air ModelDaily driver for many years, until July 2015, still running fine. Parked in the garage during the past ten years.Exterior - Ivory over Sierra Gold. Never painted. Interior – kind of tan with kind of gold, replacement seat covers, headliner, and door panels, no interior painting done. Hub caps are in the trunk.350 V8, bored, stroked, and ported, with mild cam. Less than 500 miles since engine was rebuilt; cylinder walls OK for one more boring.New stuff: large radiator, 3 speed Borg Warner AT with column shifter, drive shaft, internals of rear end, F&B sway bars (amazing difference in handling), front disk brakes. Rebuilt front end. Add-on AC recently worked but now the Freon is gone. Pusher electric fan to help the AC.It has never been in a major accident. There was some damage, repaired, to the driver door, caused by neighbor backing into it at very low speed. Repaired, but the shop did a terrible job of the partial repainting. Damage to back of both rear fenders, directly above the bumper, caused when a pickup truck was moving it in a mechanic's yard, never repaired.Two pieces of trim for the steering wheel and column are in the vehicle but not currently installed. Turn signal mechanism needs work. I am the second owner of this vehicle. I have no idea how many actual miles are on this car. The current odometer reading is 91824. Major work was done at 66,600 miles. Engine was rebuilt again just a few thousand, actually maybe less than a thousand miles ago.
