Up for auction is my Lemans Blue 1969 Nova SS 396. This is a real SS 396 Nova, Not a clone. It is probably one of the nicest, straightest, rust free Novas around. I really hate to sell this Nova as they are hard to find this nice but I am buying a Hellcat Challenger and wife won't let me keep both. This Nova spent many of its early years as a 1/4 mile racer and was then put back on the street so it only has 64982 miles which I believe is accurate. Speedometer, clock, blinkers, interior and exterior lights all work. There is also an Autometer Tach, Oil psi, and Temp gauge. The original 396 was blown up long ago and it now has a lighter and higher horsepower (550-600) premium pump gas 355 small block in its place. 355 has a Lunati rotating assembly, JE Pistons, ported and polished Holley Systemax Aluminum Heads, Roller Rockers, Isky tight lash solid cam, strip dominator, Holley 750 DP, MSD 6 box, and Flowmaster exhaust. The transmission is a Turbo 400 with shift kit and 2800 stall converter. The original BT code 355:1 12 bolt posi rear end is still in car along with its big block radiator, big block radiator support, big block heater core, etc. This rear end was standard for the 375hp L78 Novas. This Nova looks, sounds, runs and drives awesome! It has had one repaint in its original Lemans Blue. I believe the black vinyl top is original. All rust free body panels appear to be original as well as the rust free trunk and floors. Body is laser straight. I would give the paint a 9 on a 10 scale only because there are a few imperfections that most people wouldn't even notice. Also, there is a cut on the rear top of the vinyl roof but it does not go through to the metal and is not readily noticeable. The undercarriage is beautiful, clean, rust free and straight as well. Car has bolt in frame connectors and old school slapper traction bars. All glass and trim moldings are in excellent condition. The interior is in excellent condition and mostly original. There are 2 small repairable tears in the driver's seat. It has an aftermarket smaller steering wheel that is better for the race track but I also have the original SS steering wheel which goes with car and is in excellent condition. Up for auction is my Fathom Blue 1970 Nova SS 396. This is a real SS 396 L78 Nova, Not a clone. It is probably one of the nicest, straightest, rust free Novas around. Car looks even better in person. I bought it from a guy that owned it for 20 years and bought from original owner. The original 396 was blown up long ago and it now has fresh 555 cid Dart Marlin Block with Pro Comp Aluminum rectangle port heads, H beam rods, 4340 steel crank, Holley carb, etc.. This is a pump gas engine that has a Ton of torque and horsepower. Needs slicks to hook up as it just melts street tires even with caltracs. The transmission is a Muncie 4 speed. The original CBT code 355:1 12 bolt posi rear end is still in the car along with its big block radiator support, big block heater core, front power disc brakes, etc.. This rear end was standard for the 1970 375hp L78 Novas. This Nova Looks, Sounds, Runs and Drives Awesome! It has had one repaint in its original Fathom Blue and the black vinyl top was added. Body is laser straight. I would give the paint a 9 on a 10 scale only because there are a few imperfections that most people wouldn't even notice. There are 2 small repairable tears in the driver's seat and headrest and the carpet has a couple tears in the front. Numbers Matching 396/375hp (L78) El Camino SS with Muncie M22 Transmission in Excellent overall condition! This Very Original El Camino SS 396 looks, runs, and drives fantastic! Its original Code 10 black paint was repainted once back in the 90's and still looks great on the very straight, solid, and original body. There are some minor nicks and scratches from normal use. There is a spot on the tailgate and the right side of the roof behind the window where there is some slight cracks in the paint as shown in the pics. There are only 2 minor rust spots on the car. A couple tiny bubbles below rear window trim on drivers side and about a quarter size area at the bottom of the right fender behind front tire. That's it and both areas are shown in pics. Overall, this car is very presentable and draws lots of praise and attention. The original black bucket seat console interior is in excellent condition. The seats have a split on the bottoms at a seam. Door buzzer still works! All of the glass and trim is in excellent condition. The Drive Train is the Original and Numbers Matching L78 396/375hp Engine, Muncie M22 Transmission, and KF Code 12 Bolt Rear End. I did note that the VIN on the transmission appears to have been restamped several times and I'm not sure why but it definitely appears to be original to the car (shown in pic). Dates are right and it works flawlessly. Even the reverse lock works. This car runs, sounds, and drives awesome! Engine does not smoke or have any unusual noises and has between 40 and 60psi oil pressure. Does not overheat. Factory power steering and power disc brakes help it to steer and stop with ease. Car has its original SS wheels and nearly new BF Goodrich T/A Radials. The undercarriage on this El Camino is very clean, original, straight, solid, and rust free! Bed is in beautiful shape as well. REAL 1968 RS/SS 396 Big Block Camaro with all original born with body panels and original born with Ash Gold paint with Black tail panel and rockers. Car appears to have never been repainted! Not really a barn find but found in a warehouse lot in Bakersfield, California as shown in Gallery Picture. This original California Black Plate Camaro was last registered in 1985 with odometer showing 16,410 miles. I am not sure if miles have turned over or not but there is very little wear on foot pedals and driver's seat bottom. Car has some front and rear damage as shown in pics. Most of damage is to front fenders and front header panel. I believe all the damages are repairable without having to replace any of the original body panels except the front header panel but this should be determined by a professional body repair man which I am not. The engine is long gone but included are its original born with Radiator, Distributor (P/N 111169), Alternator (P/N 1100794), Air Cleaner assembly, and Rare Smog Pump (P/N 7801149) with Pulley (P/N 3917234), Brackets, and Exhaust Manifolds (P/Ns 3916178, 3909879) with piping. Born with 12 bolt posi multileaf rear end and more importantly it's born with Numbers Matching "C Code" Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission which only came with the 396 big block cars are also with car. The 12 bolt rear is a PG code which is a 3:07 posi. The original power steering pump with deep groove pulley is also still in place. Original driveshaft is also with car. All of the original RS equipment is also still with car including vacuum canisters, wiper motor etc. Wheels are 15" Rallys with BF Goodrich radials having about 80% tread. I am including a used but excellent condition factory OEM RS grill with headlight covers and trim shown in picture. There is also an aftermarket front header panel in excellent condition included in sale. Being a California car there is very little rust. There is a small rust hole at the very bottom rear of both front fenders about the size of a quarter and a very small area along the bottom rear of the right quarter panel. Also the hood has a few pinholes at the driver's side front corner. There is some (surface rust only) mostly across the top of the car due to the original paint and black vinyl top being exposed to the California Sun for years. The original carpet was removed to reveal that the original floor pans are beautiful and rust free. The undercarriage is also solid and rust free. Unfortunately some water found its way into the trunk over the years and the original trunk pan is rusted and will need to be replaced. Gas tank is also dented and should be replaced. All around the recessed trunk pan is rust free including shock tower area, rear panel, quarters, etc. The Factory Deluxe Custom Interior is in amazing condition. The dash, dash pad, door panels, visors, and console are all in very good to excellent condition. The seats however did suffer from the sun exposure and will need to be repadded and recovered. Carpeting and headliner is needed. All of the factory glass is in excellent condition and all windows roll up and down very nicely. Doors open and close solid and tight. The exterior chrome moldings around the glass is in excellent condition. One piece at lower right rear windshield is missing as well as a couple moldings on bottom right side of car. Both front and rear bumpers are missing. Overall, this is a very original and solid RS/SS Big Block Camaro that is screaming to be back on the road and in my opinion would be a fairly easy restoration. Once done, you would have a very valuable and desirable car that is a solid investment. I have tried to be very thorough in my description of this Camaro, however, I am not a body man or mechanic and advise all potential buyers to inspect vehicle prior to placing potential winning bids.
