1984 Caprice Classic 9k Original Miles. Up for sale is what may be the lowest mileage all original 1984 Caprice Classic in existence! 8,993 orig Mi. Yes that is correct! EIGHT THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED MILES! (14,000 km for the Canadians) Spotless inside and out! Everything on the car is original with the exception of the battery and fluids. Professionally appraised and insured for $21,000.00 US Always stored indoors in climate controlled comfort. Never left out in the weather or driven in rain or snow. The car was Ziebarted and perma-shined when new. Yearly inspections and reapplications performed. There is not even a splash of mud on the undercarriage. ZERO rust anywhere! Even the door jams are showroom fresh. The exterior still has a mirror shine with no fading. The color is light over dark rosewood metallic. This is a pinkey brown color. The mouldings and weather stripping are as new, as is the chrome and stainless. The car still has the original factory Anco wiper blades. The interior is a beautiful chocolate brown and is spotless with no wear or fade anywhere. The interior has never been shampooed, only a light vacuum and still sparkles. It still smells new! The dash and headliner are perfect. All options work as they should. .... AC is ice cold, heat is firey hot, power antenna goes up and down when the radio is turned on and off. Power windows and locks as well as the cruise control all work flawlessly. The tires are the factory original Goodyear Custom Polysteel 225/70-15 wide white walls. There are no cracks or weather checking on them whatsoever. The engine compartment is as new with only the slightest bit of dust on it. It has never been shampooed either. The engine and transmission work flawlessly and do not leak any fluids. The trunk compartment is as new also. The car has every option that was available for the year... right down to H.D. suspension and cooling. All books and manuals are with the car. The car has always been maintained to the highest level for a very fussy Grandma. The car has been started on a regular basis and driven on the driveway of the estate (only in good weather) to keep things moving freely. Please look at the pictures closely, they speak volumes. There are no door dings. The only blemish is on the lower part of the passenger front fender below the body side moulding.... it is a slight scratch with a tiny dent. Our local GM dealer gave us an estimate of $220.00 to do the repair (see photo for scratch and dent). I did not want to touch the 100% original paint. The dent doctor might be able to address this without the need to touch paint. The car has the original body tape stripes. The factory original body filler panels are as new, soft, flexible and shiny. We recently drove the car 400 miles to bring it to our home and it performed flawlessly. Prior to the trip it was serviced at our local GM dealer. This is a show car and has been for years. Many awards!! Up for sale is an outstanding example of a 1981 Caprice Classic 4-Dr Sedan with 26,000 original miles. 305 Cid/5.0L V8 4bbl. It is fully loaded including Comfortron A/C. All options function as they should. A/C is ice cold, heat is firey hot, cruise holds steady, transmission shifts smoothly,& engine runs strong. The car has no leaks and burns no oil. The exterior is all original including wide tape stripes and mouldings. The interior is pristine and spotless. The headliner is perfect. Chrome is mirror like as is all bright trim. The car still has its 4 original Uniroyal Steelers wide white wall radials, which were just replaced last week for safety as they had a few cracks starting. The windshield wipers are the original mat/satin finish steel. The car has been a show car for the last 10 years. The engine is clean, dry, and detailed. In the last year the car has received: new rad, belts, hoses, heater core, battery, starter, rebuild on the alt, windshield washer pump, 4 monroe gas shocks, all fluids changed ( oil, prestone, power steering, transmission & rear end) , And 4 new radial tires. The paint is mirror shiney and was perma shined when new. The car was also Ziebarted when new. It gets looks and compliments everywhere we go.
