Here is a beautiful 1968 Chevy Caprice!! This is an excepionally rare 1968 Caprice Coupe with the hide-a-way headlights! This Caprice has been fully rebuilt big block 454. When i say rebuilt i mean professionally vated and bored , forged pistons over sized cam for a nice lope, new rods,rings, main bearings,lifters, ect. heads been shaved, valve guides ect. A freshly rebuilt street/strip turbo 400 automatic transmission with a 2400 stall torque converter. This car has 12 bolt posi-track rear end, new polished valve covers, new speed demon 800-ctm 4 BBL carburater, new 14 inch air filter with chrome top, new hot cam, new accell HEI distributer, new hooker headers, new duel aluminized exhaust with duel flow masters, new hoses, new belts,engine compartment has been freshly detailed and painted. The engine starts on the first turn and runs amazing! The motor has been broke in now around 500 miles on it, oil and filter has been done twice in the almost 500 miles sence rebuild.the car has 35,xxx miles on it. Almost everything has been replaced with new as well as the vacume system for the headlights. This Caprice has the original floor mounted horse shoe shifter, power steering, power brakes, factory A/C (not yet hooked up needs a compressor), tilt wheel, recent shocks and front bushings. Has new Boss 17 inch staggered wheels with new Z rated Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires all the way around the back tires and 95` for a nice fat look from the rear! Two tone silver top with black sides red pin stripe looks good at a distance (ameture paint job) The interior is custom and was done by Sue off of the show Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas.This was about 3 blocks away from her shop at the mans house i purchased it from. It is done in black and gray total custom job with the "68" impression on both doors the stitching and work is amazing that she put into this even the dash has even been redone in the black and gray as well as the center console Sue done an amazing job.After people see the outside of the car with compliments and ooos and awws then you open the hood and it is like the cherry on the cake!
