click above arrow for a MUST SEE video of this 1967 Chevy Camaro RS Z28 tribute, if video doesn't play, try watching on non mobile device like home pc or follow this youtube link https://youtu.be/ylbGFjSYGe4 I bought this 1967 Camaro in 1996 after searching for a true survivor non butchered or molested factory RS or SS v8 stick camaro. I finally found this car as it was being sold through a estate sale in southern Wisconsin. The car had original paint, interior and drive train with all matching numbers being a factory RS 327 3 speed on the floor. It was a one family owned camaro purchased new in southern Wisconsin (look at video for pic of car in original color showing body no rust and original interior.) Although the car is sold miles exempt as it is over ten years old, I believe the miles are actual on the car. I brought the car back home to Iowa not knowing if I was going to leave it as a survivor with the original paint and 3 speed and use it as a daily driver or restore it to a high performance Camaro like I always wanted. I left it original for around 10 years and drove it as a daily driver in its original state. In 2012 I had full restoration started on it converting it to 4 speed on the floor (era correct) and a complete engine rebuild, trans rebuild etc, and paint etc. Starting with the engine, I spent roughly $14000-$15000 on the factory engine from a speed shop we use rebuilding it and making it a absolute powerhouse. The speed shop who did the work informed me that it was pushing 500 horsepower and it makes this car a absolute blast to drive. We had them put in a upgraded radiator with two cooling electric fans installed. Too many things to list , email me and I can get you a full list of parts and things done to it. We ordered a complete era correct M22 4 speed with a center force clutch and a hurst era correct 4 speed shifter. It has new exhaust including headman headers. We had all new brakes, master cylinder, pads etc installed and purchased 4 era correct rally wheels, hubs, trim and four new raised white letter BFG tires. I had new Air shocks installed in the rear. I had the headlight cover motors replaced new (they open and shut good) installed the lower fog light valance. all of the guages are original and work. All of the lights and blinkers work. The radio is working great and is a retro upper end am /fm with all of the hookups for mp3's/ipad/iphone etc ( hook ups/plug ins are the two wires under radio) . Works and sounds awesome. I had the body completely stripped and it only needed one patch panel on the passenger side in back of the rear wheel well, otherwise it is original metal with no rust. At the time of the paint, I decided to clone it as a Z28 and went with hugger orange with all of the badges/emblems correct. I orderered new seat upholstery but elected not to use it as the upholstery that is in the car is original and looks great for the age. I am including the new upholstry should you want to do it later. I am also including the original RS hood which still retains the original paint and color should you want to go back to it instead of the cowl induction Z28 hood that is on it now. I have used the car on two car club ralleys this last summer for a total of around 500 miles and it rode and drove like a dream with no issues. I am estimating that I put no more than 3000 miles on this car since the restoration was completed 2 years ago. I am selling this car out of my personal collection with sadness in my heart as I really do love it ,and I really feel it is a special car. I am doing a expansion project where I am expanding my showroom where I keep my classics and I am selling some of my collection to absorb some of the cost involved. Ebay will not allow me to put up my website, but you can see that this camaro is one of my feature cars in my current showroom. As you know, Camaro's set up like this one are doing over $50 k in major collector auctions, It comes with a clean title ready for you to register. The rare antenna MR. Horsepower topper goes with the car as well as it really fits the overall vibe of the car. The plates on the car do not go with the sale as they are my personal collection. As everyone has their own opinion on what a classic car should be, I recommend coming yourself to check out the truck at my dealership teddys auto sales in waukon or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end, if I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the car, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can help recommend shippers i have used in the past who have been very reasonable! If you have any questions at all, please call me at 563 568 5111 adam or email me. The car is in great condition and prime for a restore, is the car perfect, no, floor boards have some small holes, but lots of good metal. Lower body behind wheel wells there is rust, everything above that is very good. Around windows, gutters, hood, doors, rockers, trunk lid, everything else on this car very good. The car is original, matching number and everything is there. I do not have much paperwork on the car, no build sheet. If you don't have a strong offer close to the mid 20's then please don't offer, they will be ignored, its a heck of a car and well worth the price. Hello, and thank you for viewing my BBC Camaro, impeccable fabrication and finish. This is a true pro touring car. Frame off restoration with Heidts full race suspension with power assist rack and pinion steering. This car has coil over shocks on all 4 corners. The power plant is a ZZ502 GM crate motor with 525 hp. 567 lb. ft. torque. aluminum heads Milodon oil pan, Holley 870 double pumper. Research the ZZ502 for all of the technical data. Transmission is a 5 speed Tremec rated for 600 hp. Huge B-Cool aluminum radiator. Exhaust is a full 3 inch stainless steel from front to back. This is a well sorted out Camaro even though it has been lowered front and rear the headers are short tube which eliminates bottoming out. The rear end is a GM 12 bolt with 3:73 to 1 gears. Wilwood disc brakes in the front with 9 inch drums in the rear. Car has Vintage Air a/c that is cold as ice. Heat works excellent. The headlight doors open manually lights work perfectly I never take the car out at night so no need for lights. Body is straight all gaps are excellent, paint is a 9.0 out of 10 due to road chips but they have been touched up. Body is lined with Dynamat sound inhibitor. Glass is all new and in excellent condition. Trunk is mint with battery housed inside. Interior is full leather in brand new condition. 3700 miles since total restoration. This Camaro only had 38000 original miles before restoration began. Rides on Michelin 245/50 ZR17 in the rear and 225/50 ZR17 in the front. Rims are Cragar. Please view video and pictures as they are a part of my description. Car is sold as is where is. I have 60K invested in parts alone in this build, the total cost is approximately 90K. I have it insured through Hagerty for $65,000. This car is in mint condition it drives, runs and handles like a true Pro Touring car, way to much to list here. The car is not for the faint of heart, she's very quick with tremendous torque and indescribable top end, yet you can still drive the car like a gentlemen. Car handles like its on rails with no lateral sway, you can put this car on the track or throw the kids in it and take them for a serious ride. Any questions just ask, call my cell 203-444-6297 joey. Thanx for looking good luck bidding, enjoy the video.89295659514 Check out my video for this item! Click here! On Oct-24-16 at 10:18:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Let me explain a few more items of interest about this car.This car has never been abused it only has 3700 original miles since total restoration it is as crisp as the day she was finished! I'm an adult I am over 60 years old and yes I drive the car like a gentleman. I drive the car less than 475 miles a year way to much power for me but like I explained in my description you can take this car to the track or just do some site seeing driving, you can tame her to abide. She has never been to the track, let me repeat myself, she has never been to the track never hole shotted never even chirp the tires. You can look at this car and hear it run and you can tell it was adult owned. I see dozens of these type of pro touring Camaro's for sale they are all great cars but many of them do not have the suspension to handle a BBC motor. My car has the BBC motor and the suspension to transfer the 525 HP to the pavement, I see a lot of BBC cars with no suspension, why build a great car like this if it doesn't handle. I think your just looking for trouble installing a motor like mine and the car handles like a boat. I have the setting on the rear coil overs maxed out, meaning at its highest, I like the rear end to have that 60s look a little raised. She handles like a slot car but if you need more handling you have to drop the rear end to the lowest setting. I'm the type of guy you want to buy this type of performance car from, someone who does not abuse his cars at all, anyone interested in my car is more than welcome to stop by my house and view you will not be disappointed. I work for myself I can be available anytime that is convenient for you.FYI I went to a huge car show this Sunday 10/23/16 somebody put some small scratches on the trunk lid that I will not get around to touching up I will leave this up to the new owner. This just happened so I'm letting everyone know now that this does not tame the beast that lies with in! I look at what dealers are getting for a simple resto-mod its a bit ridiculous for a shiny car with trick wheels and a re-built stock engine. They are asking thousands more than what I'm asking for my car cause buyers don't really know what they are looking at. Please do your home work you must compare apples with apples, please don't be fooled there's a huge, huge difference between a resto mod and my car. I won't go through the whole deal with you but one significant upgrade my car has over a resto mod is the killer race suspension with the power assist rack and pinion steering, like I have mention why have a big motor car if the suspension can't handle it! I have been getting to many calls about the car, why is your car $53k and another 1968 red with white stripes $40k it looks just like your car. If I have to explane it your probably not going to get it anyway I would rather sell the car to someone who understands what this car is all about and what the car can do. I'm going to say this one more time, please this car has stump pulling power it will literally snap your neck no joke. It has tremondous execration and way to much top end, I do not want anyone getting hurt and i'm being serious, its that speed to weight ratio thing. You have a small light car with a huge motor, you do the math! Yesterdays Heritage With Todays Technology, is the way I sum up this build! I'm sorry if I offended anyone, I have talked to a number of buyers who definitely get it, older guys that know what they are looking at, these are the buyers I want to sell this killer camaro to.

VERY RARE 1968 RS/SS Camaro4 spd Convertible Matching NumbersGreat Investment This rare 68 RS/SS was owned by a little old lady who purchased the car new & owned it for 35 yrs. In 2003 she sold it to her neighbor who had it painted and the L48 engine & the Muncie tranny rebuilt to factory specs. I purchased the car from her neighbor in 2016. Since 2003 there has only been a little more then 20,000 miles put on this beautiful machine. This RS/SS is in excellent condition a strong # 2. # 1 being a trailer queen # 5 being a basket case. The interior is in great condition the high back headrest bucket seats are not original they are from a 69. The only thing it needs is each bucket seat has a 2 inch area that has to be restitched. These are NOT tears it's right on the seam where the stitching separated in the exact same spot on each seat. I was quoted a price of $206 only $103 a seat but she can't take it until after the new year. The hideaway headlight switch needs to be replaced too but also can't be repaired until after the new year. I only bring my cars to one shop, the good news is he does a great job, the bad news is sometimes you have to wait. I recently had a new heater core replaced, oil change and 4 new tires added. In my 55 yrs I've owned about 45 muscle cars mostly big blocks. There's only two small blocks I've owned that can not only hang with the big blocks but beat some one is this RS/SS & an AAR Cuda I once owned. The paint still shines great there's only a couple of little nicks & one spot by the antenna that could use a little attention. The convertible top is in excellent condition along with the tonneau cover. This is one very rare & special vehicle. Click on the large photo so you can get a better idea of the condition of this beauty. This RS/SS runs and drives as good as it looks, has great acceleration too, no disappointments here. Here is some info I found on car gurus: There were 40,977 RS's and 30,695 SS's produced in 1968. Of course, many fewer than this survive today.I also looked on a number of sites to try and find out specifically now many RS/SS models were made but apparently it is so rare that most Camaro sites don't list it as a trim. I did find one site that said "It is impossible to determine how many "base" models were produced because certain options were combined with others (for example, you could combine the Rally Sport option with the Super Sport, Z/28, and Custom Interior options), and there is no breakdown of production numbers when options were combined." I also happened to come across a 1968 Camaro RS/SS with the 350 badges and also a rally sport badge behind the front tire but it has a white nose strip, white leather seats, and a white rag top. also has auto windows, locks and driver seat. but the number of sites that i looked on the common number i found was about 600 to 700 RS/SS's were made back in 1968 but like the one guy said most of those cars did not survive to this day so that number could be drastically less. could possible be under 100 or above 100 so defiantly restore that thing. cargurus*com/Cars/Discussion-t32837_ds41625Before you bid make sure you checkout my feedback so you can bid with confidence !! If you need my help with transportation I'd be happy to recommend someone I've used for years.Thank you and Good Luck.

~~~YENKO REPLICA PROJECT~~~~When a customer bought one of the supercars from Yenko, the customer had the option of accepting the car as it was, or could have the items added to the car, such as gauges, headers, scattershield, mag wheels, etc. If items were to be added, then the car was taken to the main Canonsburg shop to have these items added. These items would be added by Yenko's race mechanics, who worked on Don's race cars. If the customer had the desire and money, the car could be built to meet their wants. This is why, even though all of the cars started with the same standard equipment, several of the cars were bought new with the other equipment. Yenko usually had a demo car or two that might have a couple of these non-standard items. ~~~YENKO REPLICA PROJECT~~~~ I have dealt with first gen Camaro's for 40 years just for reference. This 1967 01B- built 2nd week of January 1967, RS/SS 3L/4P- started as a 350 2L- 4speed car, C- white w 2-black vinyl top, 765Z- black deluxe interior, no build sheet or owner history. A race car at some point or all it's life as alot of Camaro's were, sub frame connectors, still has homemade ladder bar rear end 12 bolt housing dated 1968, 1970 5:13 GM gear, not posi, it has a mini-spool, new gas tank, have all the glass, interior in fair condition , front and rear seats, door panels, heater box, 4 speed console, 68 Pontiac 160 mph speedometer, no wiring harness or carpet, price includes: new windshield molding, new RS lower rocker molding kit, new door window felt kit, other misc parts,,,, $1500 in Goodmark rear sheet metal comes with the purchase,, 80% quarters, inner outer wheel wells, trunk and L/R floor pans, trunk lid, rear tail panel. $ the 427 started as a 66 396 block 3855961, long time race machine shop bored it to a std bore 427 4.250 ready for the piston , head, camshaft combo the BUYER wants to pay for. have 6223 .010 steel crank, stock recon. rods, GM 3885069 intake, Yenko 427 valve covers, bare 950 casting heads, ENGINE is NOT complete, big block headers, zoom flywheel, scatter shield. the 1967 M22 Muncie has all new gears, built by long time builder in Richmond MO,, Front sheet metal original to the car, is ready for final prep, all new grille, header panel, lower valance with new turn signal light assemblies. bumpers are original condition,, A lot more details available , work in progress, can finish for additional $$ dollars that BUYER wants to spend.. will post updated pics, ASK Q's , clear Missouri title, Thanks for looking!! ~~~YENKO REPLICA PROJECT~~~~ MORE YENKO TRIVIA ~~~~ Keep in mind that the 67 Yenkos had no special badging except a 427 emblem. They were sent out to the Yenko dealer network (Stinger network) and sold as 427 Camaro hot rods for street or AHRA legal drag car. One car has been found that is a SS350 converted to 427 car and is called the Yenko "Stomper" on its original paperwork (Yenko had a thing for "S" words as he had named cars Stinger, Stormer, and Stomper.)
