$3000 CASH TAKES HER HOMEPICK UP NO LATER THAN FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 11TH 2015AUTO CHECK STATES 7 OWNERS, THE LAST 3 (INCLUDING ME) HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME FAMILY I purchased this truck 10 years ago with all intentions of restoring and handing down to my son. Well one thing led to another lost all time, interest and $$$ for this project. I bought in June 2005 with 94,850 miles. Now there is 100,800 miles and it still looks good!! The cab corners are rusted, minor dings and scratches throughout and light surface rust on the bumpers. There is a spot on drivers side roof where the paint is cracked and coming off. Looks like someone poured something on it and it ate the paint. The inside bed is in great shape, has rubber mat, no major dings or rust. Has a matching locking hard tonneau cover on the bed. The interior shows well except for the usual cracked dash, steering wheel was replaced with a small chrome one, seat always had a cover on and unbelievably is in excellent shape except for minor cracking on drivers side edge. Previous owner installed, what looks to be, house carpet on the floor and installed aftermarket Sunpro temp, oil and voltage gauges in the dash panel. There is a sliding rear window and a dual purpose removable sunroof. Everything seems to work except for the lighter and A/C. Compressor is there but unhooked. Has a working Kenwood removeable face cassette player. Windshield has a small fisheye lower center about the size of a pencil erasure. Under the hood is in decent shape and clean with a 350 fueled by a 4 barrel Elderbrock carb. The carb needs either adjusted or rebuilt as it burns too rich. Has Elderbrock chrome valve covers that were painted black (paints coming off) Previous owner said motor had a mild RV cam installed along. Has dual exhaust to the rear, sounds good from behind. Power steering, power brakes.Has a newer battery and I replaced the front brakes, rotors and calipers about 300 miles ago. New brake pads on the rear at the same time. The body had been lowered about 4" which gives it an awesome stance. The tires are newer with only about 1000 miles on them. Original chevy rims and trims. Has a reese hitch. In the 10 years that I have owned it I only drove about 5,000 miles. Mostly on weekends and a few car shows and parades. I have it tagged with Ohio Historical license plates. I am hoping that the person who buys it will restore her to her original beauty as this was my full intentions.Runs good, drives good.Goes down the road straight and smooth. Sharp ride the way it is. Definitely a head turner. Would make a nice daily driver the way it is. Now the story jumps 36 years forward to when Doug Times found this truck in Concord,Ca with its original black license plates still currently registered.He strikes a deal with owner for the truck along with a short bed rolling chassis,bed floor and sides.After which he purchases a trailer and hitches it to this truck and drives 2313 miles,using 244 gallons of gas,back to Ohio so the transformation can begin. There are 600 plus very detailed step-by-step photos of the build available along with 100 plus current photos taken this month.There is a detailed video of the truck that was shot this month,besides the truck being readily available for personal inspection by appointment.
