This is my 1968 Chevrolet C-10 A very rare truck for it's time with the original 250 six cylinder engine and un-heard of automatic powerglide transmission. An original truck built in California at the Fremont plant. All of the original smog pump required is still in place. ( If you have a 68 Z28 its worth 2 grand to you ) Codes show mid June of 1968. Only 2 vehicle's were ever built by General Motors that the smog pump was driven by the power steering pump, a six cylinder truck with options and a big block Corvette. It has factory power steering ( with all of the unusual brackets ) and power brakes ( with the correct painted booster ). It has the original quarter support in really good shape ( correct code ) with the original emission decal that experts say does not exist. The green panels are from 1967 and are in really good shape, installed later because they lacked rust. The fender will need welding in the side marker lamp and both the drivers and passengers have the 3 triangle fenders. The original power brake option air cleaner is there with the original Whitik clamps, it is a paper air filter not an oil bath. The lower radiator hose is original from the factory in 1968 and still has the same whitik clamps as well as one of the upper hose clamps. It includes the original " very clear " T-3 headlights ( not in the photo's ) The transmission is the original with the original build codes intact. The truck's roof was damaged right where it sits by a neighbors tree falling on it last year. A truck forum member has helped with a donor cab for parts but most of it's sheet metal is just OK and not what I would like to see the truck get in it's restoration. All of the body panels need work, but how many times have you seen a really nice restoration that should have started with a really rare extremely optioned truck. It's blue and off white exterior was complemented by fawn interior ( a color combination that stands out from the crowd ). It has a clear Georgia Title with documentation back to Wyoming and California where it was sold new.
