1970 Chevy C10 SWB Fleetside pickup truck that has been kept in the same family since it was purchased new, and is being sold as a project that will require some work in order to make it road ready and reliable. This truck has all the original matching #'s and would make a great patina shop truck, or the growing trend of farm style sleeper race trucks. If you are looking for a C10 pickup, you are already aware of the potential and value of them and understand how difficult the SWB trucks are becoming to find. This truck is extremely solid and is a perfect candidate that provides a great platform to build around or drive as is. Here is a brief description of the truck:Exterior/Chassis: This is an original SWB pickup. The body of this truck has excellent patina and is straight, has never been wrecked and has very few dings...I think the lower front pocket of the passenger side is the only ding in the body. It does have the typical 67-72 C10 rust primarily concentrated in the rockers and door bottoms. The cab supports over to the inner rockers will need to be replaced. Truck has the original medium green paint, but the bottom of the truck was painted with a darker green. The truck comes with an aluminum retro camper shell that is almost perfect. Camper does not leak and has a wooden shelf built in that allows for storage, freeing up the bed floor for an air mattress or sleeping bags. All the windows roll out and the hatch has a lockable handle. The bed floor of the truck is in great shape because it has been covered most of its life (please note pics). With a good power washing, the chassis of the truck would clean up nicely. Truck also comes with a front sway bar, which is a must in the curves with these trucks. Bumpers are straight with no dings. Drive Train:The engine is a 250 straight 6 with an automatic 350 turbo trans. The truck was originally a 3 on the tree, but was converted to an automatic in order to make it easier to pull a boat. Comes with the original wheels and dog dish caps. The engine is currently not running. I cleaned the carb, but that's about as far as I've got. Nevertheless, these old 6 cylinders are tough, and the engine would probably not need much persuasion in order to run. Or, I have a nice 5.3 engine(complete with all accessories) with 4L60e trans that I can bundle with the truck for an additional price. Interior:The interior of this truck is pretty much all original. All the glass is in great shape with no cracks or hazing. The doors open and close great. The rear window slides open allowing for access into the camper. The windows are a little difficult to role up and down right now, but some lubricant should take care of the problem. The seat/foam is in great shape, but the cover has a couple of holes due to loose stitching. The driver's floor pan will need a partial patch. I do my best to take pics that accurately display and represent the entire truck being sold....that way, you don't travel hrs. only to find a vehicle that looks entirely different from the online pics. Personally, I think this truck looks better in person than in the pics and with a good cleaning, buff and wax, it would have a really nice patina look. Please check out more detailed pics at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJubcd8UxAg With the increasing popularity of the 67-72 C10 trucks, this is a great investment and the value is only going to increase. I can setup professional, affordable and quick shipping service within the U.S. without hassle to the buyer, but buyer is responsible for all shipping expenses paid to driver once truck is delivered. Send me a zip code, and I will give you an approximate shipping quote. Serious inquires only! A $250 Paypal deposit is due within 48 hrs. at end of auction with balance due within 10 days in cash, wire transfer, or cashier’s check from bank(check will need to be verified and wire transfer complete before truck is released).
