Big, muscular, and downright menacing, it's what you'd imagine a lumberjack or a guy who wrestles alligators would drive, and it makes no apologies for it. Of course, it backs things up with a thumping 383 inch stroker motor, but we'll get to that part in a moment. Of course being tough doesn't mean beat-up, and this very clean southern truck offers all-original sheetmetal and bodywork straight enough to calibrate scientific instruments. The burgundy paint is fairly recent and while it wasn't intended for show duty, it does look pretty darned good in the sunlight. You can't argue with the rugged good looks on these trucks, either, and regardless of what color they're wearing, they always look great. Everything just as the factory intended, which works extremely well with the handsome burgundy finish, and all the stainless trim makes it look dressed up. All the original badges are in place, including the '350' emblems on the front fenders, even though they're not quite telling the truth. Up front, a basic egg crate grille and a matching chrome bumper give it an honest look that has won admirers for decades. But it's more than just a handsome truck, it's also ready to work, with a bed protected by a spray-in bed liner so you won't be afraid to take it to Home Depot next Saturday. Sticking to the basics works inside, too, where there's a bench seat with handsome black upholstery that has a cool nostalgic vibe to it. It's all in excellent condition, as you'd expect in a truck this nice, including those '70s funky tooled door panels that were a GM favorite. Factory gauges cover the basics, and someone has thoughtfully added a temperature gauge under the dash. There's factory A/C, which is always a nice find, plus a recent Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit with custom speakers built into the headliner, so it sounds great. The final ingredient is a late-model tolt steering column and steering wheel, which looks right at home in the Chevy's cabin thanks to its OEM origins. Power comes from a rumbling aluminum head 383 cubic inch small block that was rebuilt about 2000 miles ago. With a 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust as power-building additions, the engine springs to life easily and pulls the relatively lightweight truck around with genuine authority, with a feel that's a lot like a vintage muscle car. Surrounded by power building hardware, including an MSD ignition system, Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, and matching finned valve covers just for good measure. A chrome alternator has been fitted, along with power steering and brakes to make the truck easy to drive under any conditions. It's backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and the original rear end, which hangs on coil springs to make the ride pleasant and not pickup truck harsh. It's been lowered just a bit, giving it a nasty attitude without killing ride quality, and it sits on steel wheels with cool Corvette hubcaps for an unusual twist on the OEM look. A very cool truck that doesn't need flash and bright paint to attract attention, and it's truly a blast to drive. Lowered, stuffed with a great-running 454, and with a lot of neat details that will get you noticed, it's the kind of tasteful custom that we'd all like to own. Painted basic black, this truck makes a statement. While most of the others are red or bright yellow, this one is quietly confident in its ability to look good without even trying. Of course, the C10's angular look has a lot to do with it, and having a stepside bed and regular cab gives it ideal proportions, more like a muscle car than a pickup truck. Then there's the straight sheetmetal underneath, ultra-tight gaps, and an overall look that seems to suggest someone worked overtime to get the little stuff right. It's pretty stock-looking at a glance, and heck, they even kept the stock grille in place instead of stuffing a generic billet piece in the slot! On the other hand, nothing coming out of a GM plant in 1970 looked this good. Chrome bumpers look fantastic, the chrome CHEVROLET letters on the tailgate proudly stand out, and the overall impression is that someone was willing to spend a lot of money to build one of the nicest C10s anywhere. Just check out that beautiful bed if you want a good example of how nice this truck really is! The interior continues the exterior color scheme, with black cloth upholstery on the original bench seat. Workmanship is impressive and the seat cover looks virtually new, with no creases or discoloration on the seating surfaces. The blend of original and custom is expertly done, most notably on the instrument panel, which is a custom aluminum insert that frames the original gauges and adds a set of aftermarket dials down low. Other noteworthy details include under-dash A/C that almost looks OEM, a Grant steering wheel on a tilt steering column, and a digital AM/FM stereo head unit in the original slot. The carpets are in great shape too, showing off a correct texture that helps with the OEM look and feel. You also get a sliding rear window, one of the very best features in any pickup, and once you've used it, you'll wonder how you got by without it. Pop the hood and, just as the fender badges promised, you'll discover a very neatly detailed 454 cubic inch big block V8 that has been dressed to impress. There's Chevy Orange on the block, a set of polished valve covers, and a chrome air cleaner atop a brand new Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. It's worth noting that there's zero rust on the inner fenders or firewall, and the level of detailing suggests that this truck has not been driven much since it was completed. There's also a new radiator up front, a chrome alternator, and a bunch of new service items to ensure it's ready to rock. It starts easily and sounds awesome with long-tube headers and a custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system. The TH400 3-speed automatic shifts crisply and drives a 12-bolt rear that stands out, hanging on a lowered suspension that still uses coil springs. The suspension has been lowered all around, so it has a ground-hugging stance, and with 15-inch Torque Thrust wheels and staggered 245/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear blackwall radials, it definitely looks the part of a full custom. Fully sorted and without the usual asterisks that accompany many builds, this C10 is ready to go. We can guarantee that it'll cause a stir without getting too loud about it. Not merely assembled, but rather built with an eye towards making even the little stuff look right, it's gorgeous to look at and wonderful to drive. Combined with a great color and interior choice, it makes for a slick hauler that can take home trophies or cruise cross-country equally well. This truck goes way beyond simple hauler, and even back in the '50s, Chevy revolutionized the industry with the crazy idea that workmen wanted attractive vehicles, too. So while a lot of them got worked right into the ground, this handsome pickup received a full rejuvenation that includes a few skillfully shaved bits and a lot of hand work to make it smooth and shiny. Fit and finish are quite good overall, and the electric blue paint was done a few years ago and is still in good shape with only minor signs of use. A chrome grille was fitted up front, and who can argue with how cool it looks? The windows were given a light tint to accentuate the street rod stance, and the bed was fully rebuilt with fresh wood, polished stainless rub rails, and a stainless steel fuel tank up front, getting it safely out of the cab. Add in smooth 1-piece bumpers, cool side trim on the fenders, and bright white CHEVROLET block letters on the tailgate, and you have a truck that creates a stir everywhere it goes. With the original truck sporting vinyl and rubber and steel interior materials, the makeover gives it a much softer, friendlier demeanor. A reshaped and very comfortable bench seat has been wrapped in custom foam and smooth black leather upholstery, which uses a period pleated pattern to replicate a 1950s vibe. Custom black carpets look great and help control noise and heat and the door panels are properly finished with body-colored paint and cool oak sills that warm things up a bit. The dashboard, even when it was stock, was striking in a pickup truck and has now been refined, with the original gauge cluster replaced by a trick Dakota Digital setup that totally makes the interior. You'll also not custom tricks like cup holders built into the center arm rest, a Jensen 7-inch flip-out TV with Infinity speakers in the kick panels, and a wood-rimmed wheel that's about the same color as the door sills. A/C is very cleverly installed under the dash, tucking the vents out of sight so they don't attract a lot of attention. As you can see, no detail was left to chance. The engine is a powerful 350 cubic inch V8, now making somewhere north of 400 horsepower. Additions include a polished Edelbrock intake manifold and matching 4-barrel carburetor, long-tube headers, and, of course, the finned Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner. There's a big aluminum radiator up front to keep things cool and the accessories are tucked in close to the block and spun by a serpentine belt setup. Backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear with 3.55 gears inside, it's a superlative highway cruiser that's still punchy around town. Up front there's a giant sway bar and power disc brakes, plus power steering and a custom dual exhaust system with throaty mufflers sounds suitably performance-oriented. The stance is just about perfect, with a lot of the credit going to the polished Torque Thrust wheels and 235/70/15 Goodyear radials. A gorgeous truck from long-term ownership, this beautifully built and nicely documented (we have a ton of receipts) Chevy delivers in every sense of the word. Well, it's time to relive the past with this 1984 Chevy K10 pickup, which has obviously enjoyed a rather significant makeover. With in-your-face looks and go-anywhere capabilities, it's big black fun on or off the pavement. Black is the quintessential tough truck color, regardless of age, and this awesome Chevy wears it proudly. It was repainted a few years ago, but judging from the details and the hard-to-reach areas of the body, basic black was probably this truck's original color. You can't argue with how good it looks on the clean, chiseled lines of the K10 and the finish quality is on-par with the build quality of the rest of the truck. It's shiny, well-applied, and covering some straight sheetmetal, but at the same time, it's not so flawless that you're afraid to use this truck to its full potential. There's lots of shiny trim to accentuate that glossy black finish, including the factory stainless moldings on the sides of the body and chrome bed rails that are probably a good idea on a truck this tall. And speaking of the bed, it's been fortified with a spray-in bedliner, just in case you're hauling, say, your collection of bowling balls or a grizzly bear. A black diamond plate tool box up front adds LED work lights and weather-proof storage, making this a truck that's not afraid to put in a hard day's work. The black and gray interior is largely stock and for 1984, you'll be impressed by the luxury accommodations. The wide bench seat wears a more recent cover that's in decent shape save for a scuff on the driver's side, but it's possible that things like the door panels and dash pad are original, maybe even the carpets, too. This truck offers a lot of power accessories, including power windows and locks and a tilt steering column, so it's hardly vintage-feeling from behind the wheel. A newer AM/FM/CD stereo lives in the dash, but that and the aftermarket center console are the only notable modifications to the interior. A sliding rear window works in concert with the vent windows to make the interior pleasant on warmer days and after you've used it, you'll probably wonder how you got by without it. The condition of the sparkling engine bay suggests that while this truck looks off-road ready, it hasn't spent much time there. The 350 cubic inch V8 sports a bunch of chrome, as well as improvements like an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and matching intake manifold, a serpentine belt drive system for the accessories, and a growling dual exhaust system with long-tube headers. It was all painted Chevy Orange to give it an OEM look, although by 1984, blocks were plain old black. Anchored by a sturdy 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and 2-speed transfer case, the driveline is tough enough to handle just about anything. While you're under there, check out the modest lift kit with new shocks at each corner, an upgraded steering stabilizer, and heavy-duty axles that show signs of recent work. Of course, a truck like this wouldn't be possible without power steering and brakes, so despite its size it's relatively easy to maneuver in traffic. Great-looking polished aluminum wheels suite the truck's personality and carry mammoth 35x12.50-15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires that look like they'll climb a wall. A very cool truck with big modifications and a classic look. With over $10,000 in recent service work, it's totally sorted and ready to enjoy. The lovely seafoam green paint is low-key, but those giant tires aren't there just for show; this one is packing a built 468 cubic inch V8 that will put a hurt on just about anything else you run up against on the street. A clean old pickup in classic colors and wearing a stepside bed makes for an appealing package, regardless of the powerplant inside. We'll go out on a limb and suggest that there aren't many of these trucks running around today that have been this nicely restored, and the point was to keep everything low-key. The seafoam green paint is just perfect on a vehicle from the mid-60s and with the contrasting white roof, it has an old-school truck look that's ideal. Finish quality is quite nice, with good gaps, smooth panels, and an overall look of quality that holds up under scrutiny. The finish shines up beautifully and they kept all the wonderful details that make these trucks special, including the flying wing trim on the back of the cab. The flared fenders of the stepside bed give it a muscular crouch and the bed inside is neatly finished with heavy-duty diamond plate, so don't be afraid to use it as intended once in a while. A brightly polished grille, matching chrome bumpers, and CHEVROLET block letters on the tailgate all make for an appealing package that gives nothing away. They kept the interior looking pretty stock, too. We love the bench seat with cloth and vinyl seat cover that looks right out of the JC Whitney catalog, and the handsome tan details are a nice contrast to the bright bodywork. A few extra gauges, including a tach on the column and auxiliary dials under the dash suggest that maybe there's something going on under the hood, but the install is subtle and might go unnoticed until it's too late. The factory gauges are bold and clear, and they kept all the original hardware, including the steering wheel with cool horn ring, slender column shifter, and even the AM/FM radio is a pretty close approximation of the original unit. Black carpets are probably an upgrade from the original rubber mats, but again, this truck isn't about showing off, it's about delivering the speed. And deliver it does, complements of a built 468 cubic inch Chevy V8 topped with aluminum Edelbrock heads. It's a clean fit in the big engine bay, and with an Edelbrock Air Gap intake, 4-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, and a set of long-tube headers, it's the kind of horsepower factory that breaks hearts out on the street. It's not terribly pretty, although the finned valve covers and chrome air cleaner look racy, and the big aluminum radiator is all about function. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, so it's also a comfortable cruiser under any circumstances and with a stout 12-bolt out back filled with 3.73 gears, you're gonna need those fat tires. The exhaust uses cut-outs as well as fresh mufflers, so you can set it up the way you prefer, and there's a big sway bar up front to improve its handling. The stance is just about perfect and it sits on factory Rally wheels with gold centers and 225/75/15 BFGs in front and giant 295/65/15 Mickey Thompson drag radials out back. A truck that would be desirable just because it's pretty gets even better with all that mountain motor under the hood. A great combination that's a lot of fun and priced right. This 1965 Chevrolet C10 will do it for you. With a gorgeous frame-off restoration, it's a subtle resto-mod that skillfully accents all that was great about Chevy's '60s haulers. And now that you mention it, they do make pretty darned good cruisers, too. You want to get noticed, don't go with flames and body mods, do it with skill then paint it bright red. That was obviously the mantra behind this build, which combines impressive craftsmanship and time-consuming attention to detail. Fit and finish are exemplary and if this truck ever spent days out in the field or on the job site, all evidence of it has been completely erased by the build. Instead, the sheetmetal is straight enough to use as a mirror, the red paint makes other red cars in our showroom look faded, and every edge was honed to a sharp crease that reflects light in a most impressive way. Oh, and all the trim remains intact; it's fully restored, but it's all there, glittering against the paint and accenting both the original design and the stance. In particular, the side trim remains as straight as a ruler and shows off a crisp white insert that looks right on the bright red pickup. There's also a freshly restored wooden bed that warms up the stark paint job and offers body-colored rub strips that have yet to see a drop of rain or a piece of cargo. You should probably consider keeping it that way, because it's seriously nice. They worked the same kind of magic inside, where there's a gorgeous bucket seat setup with late-model chairs and a custom center console. The two-tone leather has a bit of patina that's absolutely ideal for the pickup, a rugged look that was surely done intentionally. Two-tone door panels were created to match, as was the center console, which features a storage compartment, twin cup holders, and a built-in Garmin GPS and back-up camera. The single-pane instrument panel covers only the basics but does it so well that you won't even notice, and that wood-rimmed steering wheel is a cool take on a factory piece. Nicely integrated A/C is a nice addition that makes this truck easy to drive, and the entertainment system is an AM/FM/CD/iPod/satellite stereo with speakers neatly stashed throughout the passenger compartment. It's all just beautifully done. The fresh 383 cubic inch stroker motor features a Holley 4-barrel carburetor on a high-rise intake, a big cam that helps build torque, and a few well-chosen aluminum bits for contrast. Service access remains quite good, and while everything is new, it's also smart since the truck really was built to drive. Power steering and brakes are worthy upgrades when you're reworking an entire vehicle, and while the body was off the frame, the entire chassis was painted satin black. The suspension is largely stock, although it has been lowered a bit to give it that awesome rake and power front disc brakes were added for safety. A fresh dual exhaust system sounds fantastic behind the warmed-over small block, and between the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and the rugged 12-bolt rear end, cruising is effortless. Color-matched Rally wheels have a vintage look, especially with the polished trim rings, and are wrapped with fat 225/70/15 Michelin radials that have enough sidewall to make this truck look like a truck. There's obviously a ton of money wrapped up in this build, but the effort will pay off handsomely for the next lucky owner. With a cool lowered stance, strong-running V8, and a gorgeous black cherry paint job, it's got an unusual look that totally works to give it a performance vibe. At a glance, it looks black, but in just the right light, the red metallic embedded in the paint really pops and transforms the look in a big way. It's almost impossible to photograph, so you'll have to take our word for it, but fortunately, the rest of the truck is cool enough that you'll want to see more anyway. Despite the low, wide look, the sheetmetal is almost completely stock save for shaved door handles, emblems, mirrors, and taillights, and the overall look is very sleek. There's also a cowl induction hood that should have been standard equipment from the factory simply because it looks so right. The front bumper is gone, too, replaced by a custom roll pan that adds to the lowered look and frames the later-model grille perfectly. In back, a quartet of Corvette-style taillights have been faired into a custom tail pan and the bed is hidden under a hard-shell tonneau that was color-matched to the bodywork. There's still a full-sized bed under there, although the fender wells were widened to handle the oversized rubber. The interior is largely stock, starting with a nicely reupholstered bench seat that looks fantastic in basic black. New black carpets and door panels also offer an OEM look and feel. A slightly fatter leather-wrapped steering wheel helps with the performance attitude, as do the original gauges set deep into round pods ahead of the driver. This truck is loaded with options, including cold A/C, power windows, a tilt steering column, and cruise control, so it's comfortable enough to drive every day. All the factory gauges are fully functional and even the dash pad and sun visors are brand new. An AM/FM stereo radio sounds decent, although the bark of the exhaust really is all the entertainment you should need here. But clearly, someone has invested a lot of money here. The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8 that's almost entirely stock, but even so it's plenty to make the relatively lightweight pickup a blast to drive. Fitted with a chrome air cleaner, the stock throttle-body fuel injection system looks racy enough, but everything else is OEM and that means reliable and easy to service. It starts easily and idles smoothly from the start thanks to the wonders of electronics and history has already proven that these are some of the most bulletproof machines ever built. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and stock rear end with highway-friendly gears inside, so it's a fantastic highway cruiser and actually pulls down decent fuel economy, too. The restrictive stock exhaust is gone, replaced by a throaty Flowmaster dual exhaust setup that sounds fantastic and the stock suspension has been lowered to give it that race-ready crouch. Oversized Rally wheels offer a cool industrial-strength look and are wrapped in fat blackwall radials for the perfect stance. A cool truck with a lot of time and effort invested in the look and nothing done that would hurt reliability or the ability to use it every day. And that's why we love this truck. Sure, it's got a cab and a bed and all that, but with a blown 454 under the hood, a quick-shifting automatic transmission, and an awesome look, it's a bare-knuckle street brawler now. The combination of Hugger Orange and bright white paint is certainly period perfect for the truck and for the height of the muscle car era. It was refinished and built a few years ago and is still in good condition, although its show days are probably over. But that's OK, because this one really excels at driving, and you're going to want to do a lot of that once you taste all that torque. The blower sticking through the hood is the biggest deviation from stock, and it definitely delivers a big intimidation factor. Paint is shiny, the bodywork underneath is quite good, and the crisp lines between the colors look professionally done. Original emblems on the front fenders are a nice touch, but the grille is a replacement billet piece that gives the front end a clean, smooth look and the rear bumper has been replaced by a roll pan that cleanly frames the big, bold CHEVROLET lettering on the tailgate. I suppose you could still haul stuff in the bed, which has been covered in spray-on bedliner material and offers slightly widened fender wells to cover the oversized rear tires. So yes, if you have something you need moved with alacrity, this Chevy delivers. The handsome interior is anchored by a set of tan leather captain's chairs from a late-model, which work surprisingly well in the vintage pickup's cab. Hugger Orange on the doors and dash ties it together, but strangely it isn't overwhelming and actually quite tasteful. Contrasting carpets certainly help, as does the woodgrained Grant GT steering wheel. Factory gauges monitor the blown engine, including a somewhat rare factory tach, and It's also got a tilt steering column that makes it easy to get comfortable behind the wheel and an upgraded stereo system that sounds great thanks to good sound insulation in the cab. Tinted windows and a sliding rear window help keep things comfortable inside, too. Nice, right? But this truck's real attraction is the thundering 454 cubic inch V8 under the hood. Topped with a Littlefield 8-71 supercharger and a pair of 4-barrel carburetors, it makes big horsepower so this truck feels like it weighs half as much. An MSD ignition system lights the fires and it's got a rather big cam inside, so an auxiliary vacuum canister supplies boost for the power disc brakes. A big radiator and electric fan keeps it cool without worries and it channels power to a rugged 12-bolt rear through a built TH350 automatic transmission. Long-tube headers feed a custom dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers that dump just under the roll pan in back and it sits exactly right, not too low, but low enough to look butch. Chrome 17-inch wheels fill the fenders and carry 255/50/17 BFGoodrich T/A radials all around. This truck is fast, but it's also well-sorted and easy to drive, and yes, if you need a pickup, it'll still pitch in and help now and then. Not many hobby vehicles can make that claim. Not too nice, but not beat up, it's exactly the kind of truck that you'll wistfully stare at in a parking lot because it talks to you like your favorite pair of jeans or that comfy leather chair you're so fond of. It's all about character and lots of it. Now that you've seen it, I think you'll agree that this '65 Chevy looks awesome in bright yellow. It is a lot more vivid than anything on the 1965 color chart, yet it looks exactly right on the interesting curves that make up the mid-60s pickups. The bodywork was done to a good standard not too long ago, and it still shows well today, although there are signs that it has been driven, of course. Gaps are decent all around, including the massive hood that wraps around and forms the tops of the fenders, as well as the cool "wings" at the back of the doors. Even the latch hardware on the tailgate has been carefully painted to match and doesn't show any scuffs or damage from just driving around. That long stainless side trim is in excellent shape, and a real roll pan was installed under the tailgate, which features black lettering that really stands out. And speaking of tailgates, you'll dig the oak bed, which isn't refinished like a dance floor, but instead shows a bit of that character I was talking about earlier. It just looks right. A pair of cloth buckets from a late-model GM SUV makes it feel more luxurious than your standard 1965 Chevy pickup. The upholstery shows very little wear, and both the door panels and headliner have been painted yellow to match the bodywork. Black carpets fit well and still have a dark, rich look, and it gives the interior a very finished look. The steering wheel is a wood-rimmed piece from Grant GT, and it frames a full set of handsome Dolphin gauges in a custom billet panel that almost looks OEM. Additional goodies include cold A/C and a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo fitted into the original slot in the dash, as well as a center console from the aforementioned late-model truck, which adds some valuable storage space. You also get heavy-duty carpeted floor mats and 3-point seat belts that make it the kind of truck you could use every day without complaints. In the 1960s, there was only one engine you wanted under the hood of your cruiser, and that was a small block Chevy. This one displaces 350 cubic inches and was built to run. Dressed to impress, this strong-running small block features Chevy Orange paint to give it a bright contrast, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, and while it wasn't necessarily built for show, it has a functional look that suits this truck just fine. An alternator, power steering, power brakes, and R134a refrigerant in the A/C system make it easy to drive and maintain, while an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake help build horsepower. It has an awesome rumble to the exhaust with a nasty snarl when you dip into the throttle, all thanks to a dual exhaust system with glasspack style mufflers. A TH400 3-speed automatic transmission feeds what appears to be the original rear end and it sits on handsome chrome Rallys with 235/55/15 blackwall radials. This is the truck for the guy who values substance as well as style. Hard to believe that a 1987 Chevy C10 pickup could attract this much attention, but when you look this good, it's probably easy to do. At first glance, even in bright sunlight, this sucker looks great. The charcoal gray paint is rendered in two-stage urethane that still looks good despite the build being a few years old, and that's a tribute to the care it has received since it was completed. It's not perfect and it's been driven, but this is a truck that looks better than most. Of course, a few choice of body mods give it that hunky look, including a cowl-induction hood and a billet grille, but it's still totally functional with big side mirrors and big chrome bumpers that shine up well. You can look down the sides of this truck and see how much time went into getting it straight, and it's obvious that this wasn't a backyard special, but a truck that took time and money to get to this level. If you like how it looks, you won't be disappointed by how it fits together. It's also ready to work, thanks to a spray-in bedliner in the 6-foot bed. Inside, there are a few modifications, but mostly they chose to keep it pretty stock. The factory bench seat was covered with a new black vinyl seat cover to give it a stock look, and black carpets are joined by matching mats to give it a luxurious feel and to help control noise and heat. The original dash has a cool metallic finish and the auxiliary gauges are modern white-faced dials that work with the low-mounted tach and shift light. Power windows are a nice find and there's an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit that makes for good entertainment out on the road. The 4-spoke steering wheel really dresses up the interior and with a light tint on the windows, it has a sinister look. For reliability, there's a built 350 cubic inch V8 that includes a decent-sized cam that gives it a nasty idle, Edelbrock high-rise intake manifold, and a Holley 4-bartrel carburetor. The entire engine bay was nicely detailed with plenty of aluminum pieces and nicely finished inner fenders that make for a nice stain black backdrop. Long-tube headers feed a set of cackling Flowmaster race mufflers with turn-downs just ahead of the rear axle and it does indeed sound nasty. The stock suspension has been lowered but still rides quite well, and this sucker is amazingly clean underneath. A TH400 3-speed automatic feeds the original rear end, so it's a great highway cruiser that doesn't mind doing a little work now and then. Wheels are Pacer aluminum hoops wrapped in staggered 215/65/15 front and fat 295/50/15 rear blackwall radials that give it the perfect stance. This truck represents a lot of custom work and fun for not a lot of scratch. They upgraded the visuals and took the mechanicals to the next level, so you can drive it anywhere without worries. From the handsome blue paint to the smooth-running 283 under the hood, this cool pickup neatly straddles the line between custom and restored original. 1966 was the last year for the Fleetside pickups introduced in 1960, which offered lower rooflines and a swept-back cab that offered industry-leading space and comfort, and we wouldn't see such ornate trucks ever again. Finished in bold medium blue with a white top, this truck is a movie star. The Fleetside offered dramatic styling with lots of swoops and curves, as well as brilliant use of trim, and all of it remains 100% intact on this hauler. Other styling details include the wing-like lip at the back of the cab, which probably has no real function but looks really cool. Paint and bodywork are done to a good standard, and this truck will be right at home both at local shows and the local lumber yard on a Saturday afternoon. These were well-made rugged machines from new, so it shouldn't be surprising to find one this nice today, and very little bodywork seems to have been required to get it ready for paint. All the original trim remains, from the massive front bumper and delicate egg crate grille, to the cool cast trim piece behind the cab, to the polished stainless along the sides that is strongly reminiscent of the Impala SS trim from just a few years earlier. But if you need it to work, it's ready, with a recently refinished bed that isn't over-restored but rather just about how the factory would have done it. Trucks were austere machines when they were new, but this one has had a luxury upgrade during the build. The original bench was recovered in gray fabric, tying in perfectly with the matching headliner, gray dash and black rubber floor coverings. Padded dashes and door panels hadn't yet made it to the truck lines, so they've been finished in medium gray to give everything a uniform look. The original gauges are a very cool setup with a single lens over all dials and they're joined by an auxiliary Stewart-Warner temperature gauge that's probably been there since the '60s. A newer AM/FM/cassette head unit handles the entertainment and if you've got a 4-speed, you may as well flaunt it with a Hurst shifter and a cue ball knob. Have fun! At some point, the 283 cubic inch V8 was rebuilt and detailed before being nestled back between the front fenders. As a truck, function was chosen over style, but it got upgrades like an Edelbrock intake and carburetor, chrome valve covers, and an open-element air cleaner. It runs beautifully with that smoothness that only '60s engines seem to demonstrate and there's plenty of torque at just about any speed. This is a man's truck with manual steering and brakes, but you'll find that it doesn't really need power assists and it starts easily with a great V8 rumble from the dual exhaust system. The 4-speed makes it a lot of fun to drive and while it's original, the chassis is in good order with no signs of life in the rust belt. Factory-style Rally wheels with spinners were fitted with 235/70/15 Firestone radials to give it a sporty look. This is a great truck that can work all day and still clean up nicely for a night out on the town. And lately, trucks like this 1970 Chevrolet C10 have been red hot, perhaps suggesting that these handsome trucks are finally coming into their own as legitimate collector pieces. Of course, it's hard to argue against them when they look this good and still offer a measure of practicality that most hobby vehicles can't touch. The stepside bed/regular cab setup is by far the most popular today, combining sporty good looks with the most compact and lightweight body style. This one is finished in fiery Hugger Orange paint that looks muscular and aggressive, without distracting from the original design's clean lines. Forget all the extra trim that came with the upscale trucks, or the sometimes questionable two-tone paint schemes, this one simply offers a quality paint job over straight, rust-free sheetmetal. A few dress-up items, like the brand new chrome bumpers, grille, and taillights certainly improve the looks, and the bold CHEVROLET letters on the tailgate are a traditional touch that works well. The fully refinished bed offers a beautifully refinished oak floor with stainless trim, which is really all you need since this truck's heavy hauling days are probably over. In the same way the exterior has been given a modest makeover to disguise the truck's blue-collar roots, the same can be said inside where the vinyl bench has been upgraded with handsome black and red houndstooth fabric inserts. New black carpets soften the environment and help control noise levels, and the metal dash and door panels have been painted to match the bodywork. The factory gauges offer only speed and fuel level, but with an automatic transmission you don't really need more and it all looks very clean. The dash hosts a newer AM/FM/cassette head unit, which feeds a set of speakers mounted down low on the kick panels. Even things like the visors, the dash pad, and the heavy-duty rubber floor mats are all brand new. You can see that a lot of money went into freshening this truck, making it comfortable and easy to drive. Sometime simple is better, and the mechanicals in this truck have proven themselves over the years. The 283 cubic inch V8 was rebuilt about 4500 miles ago and lives in a beautifully detailed engine bay. There's Chevy Orange paint on the block, chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock air cleaner for the 4-barrel carburetor underneath, and some very clean ram's horn exhaust manifolds. A fresh alternator delivers the juice, while the brand new dual exhaust system uses dumps located just behind the rear wheels. Power steering and power brakes are nice additions to a vehicle weighing nearly 4000 pounds, although it drives like a much smaller machine and feels quite agile on the road. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission shifts crisply and there's a rugged 12-bolt rear end on the original coil spring suspension . And who doesn't love those original 15-inch Rally wheels that tie the truck to Chevy's other performance models and give it a racy look. Representing a great way to get into the hobby with a high-quality vehicle, this truck is a fun, practical way to drive a cool old vehicle for not a lot of money. Oh, who am I kidding? This truck was BUILT to play in the dirt! Ultra-clean C10 pickups are none too easy to find these days, but finding one that has been as well-built as this one, enhancing both performance and reliability is tougher yet. Finished in luscious Hugger Orange, this is a massive machine that will never be able to slip under the radar and will always be the center of attention anywhere it goes. There's no reason to modify the bodywork, either, since these are some of the best-looking commercial vehicles to ever come out of the GM styling studios. Square-jawed and muscular, it's like Superman rendered in sheetmetal, especially with that cowl-induction hood. There's no sign of abuse or botched bodywork anywhere on the truck and while it was repainted a few years ago, it still looks quite good. With good gloss and panel alignment, it's obvious that someone invested a lot of time in making it look right. The chrome and stainless is equally nice, keeping with the stock look and letting the big tires and tall suspension do all the talking. The interior is an upgraded stock driver's environment, which is in excellent condition. The original bench remains in place, now wrapped in black vinyl and cloth that looks elegant and wears like iron. Instead of the original rubber mats, there's plush carpet on the floor, which helps with both noise and heat control and yes, the aftermarket A/C is fully functional thanks to modern components working behind the scenes. The door panels, dash pad, and even the seat itself are new and an Auto Meter tach and auxiliary gauges keep an eye on the mechanicals, which is critical when you're as far out in the middle of nowhere as this truck can carry you. A Sony AM/FM stereo system has been fitted with speakers in the doors, so you can bring the entertainment with you. A sturdy 350 cubic inch V8 was built expressly to power this heavy-duty 4x4, and features all the upgrades you'd expect from a powerplant built to play hard. A big Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and matching intake manifold supply the air and fuel, while long-tube headers dump into a throaty dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The engine has been painted bright Chevy Orange to match the bodywork, and wears a smattering of chrome dress-up, including the valve covers and air cleaner. Power steering and brakes make it a pleasure to wheel around despite its size, and are critical for off-road work. The body has a two-inch lift to compliment the four-inch lift on the suspension, giving it a towering presence on- and off-road, but a surprisingly compliant ride. The automatic transmission feeds both a 12-bolt rear and 10-bolt front differential which are plenty rugged enough for off-road work. The look is finished with handsome Convo-Pro aluminum wheels with giant off-road radials. This is an extremely handsome truck with go-anywhere abilities that's ready to get dirty. Relatively subtle on the outside, it packs a stout 350 underneath, as well as an all new interior and a low-riding look that is simply awesome on the street. You could have a lot of fun in this truck, that's for sure! Where have all the stepside trucks gone? When they look this good, you have to wonder why the OEMs stopped building them this way. Combining a 1987 front clip with a 4-wheel-drive cab and the stepside bed results in one of the best-looking trucks in a generation. The subtle yellow and white paint job is ideal for the truck, looking custom without being too obvious about it and the soft pastels will help you stand out at any show you attend. The paint is a few years old, so it's not perfect anymore, but it shines up nicely and you have to work pretty hard to find the flaws. Those fat rear fenders look like they were designed for 20-inch wheels it looks so right, and the smooth tailgate gives it a custom look without giving up functionality. The bed itself is also refinished, with the timber planks making up the floor of the bed showing some wonderful patina underneath a fresh coat of clear urethane so it'll last almost forever. Nice chrome bumpers help with the clean OEM look and it's still got the oversized truck mirrors to add a rugged counterpoint to the smooth styling. At first glance, the interior appears stock, which gives this C10 a very polished look that's also functional and comfortable. But look closer and you'll see a lot of custom work, including the seat itself and the neatly tailored carpets underfoot. And yes, that's a Hurst T-handle shifter in the center, managing a 4-speed manual gearbox underneath. Original gauges in a brushed metal dashboard blend well with the upgraded upholstery and the original steering wheel still looks great after all these years. Options like factory A/C and a tilt steering column make it easy to drive, although there's no radio but that means it's ready for the entertainment system of your choice. With a color change, you know that almost everything inside is brand new, making this a great place to hang out on weekends. A recent 350 cubic inch crate motor means this sleek little truck is a fantastic runner and as reliable as the day it was built. Fortified with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Summing Racing intake manifold, and an HEI ignition system, it's punchy around town and gives the truck the moves of a muscle car rather than a commercial vehicle. The engine bay was painted to match the body, so the black engine looks awesome, particularly with red lettering on the valve covers that matches the new red plug wires. Ceramic-coated long-tube headers and a new Flowmaster exhaust system offer a suitable V8 rumble and the lowered stance is just about ideal: not too low but definitely sleek. Thanks to the giant fenders, both front and rear, it has no problem accommodating those giant 20-inch Torque Thrust wheels and 255/45/20 front and 275/40/20 rear performance radials. So don't take our word for it, check out how many of these trucks we've sold. This one not only has fantastic good looks but the performance to back it up, making it a great pick for summer fun. There's more to building great customs than just opening a catalog and installing shiny stuff, you need a theme. Looking at this 1968 Chevy C-20 pickup, it's clear that the builder had both the vision and the talent to bring it to life, giving it a unique look that's both timeless and extremely appealing. This is a big truck, the heavier-duty C-20 instead of the usual C-10, but the beautiful steely blue paint masks its size and gives it a very sleek, modern look. And despite being a big hauler, it sure doesn't look like it was ever used for that, but rather a clean southern truck that's led a pretty good life in the sun. It has an 8-foot bed which is far more practical than the short bed and given the size of the truck, it makes for great proportions that suit it just fine. There's a good deal of cash wrapped up in the bodywork, which is straight and clean, with good panel alignment that shows in the way the rocker panel forms an unbroken line between the wheels. The paint is from a modern color palette but on the squared-off old Chevy it looks fantastic with a deep shine and great surfaces. It's not perfect since the build is a few years old, but with some care it will look this good 10 years from now and will still have an appealing look. THAT's what having vision is all about. No major deviations from stock and still wearing bright chrome bumpers, with a tonneau cover out back that makes it quite practical as well. The handsome gray plaid interior is more evidence that the guy who built this truck knew what he wanted long before he started putting it together. It's sophisticated and a little bit playful, but like the exterior, it's also grown-up and will look fashionable practically forever. A wood-rimmed steering wheel certainly helps with the atmosphere inside and these trucks had some of the most handsome instrument panels of the period. Auxiliary gauges were added under the dash and with their round faces, they almost look like they've been there from the start. There's no sign of an original radio, but a modern AM/FM/CD head unit has been neatly installed in the dash where it's out of sight, powering 6x9 speakers installed in the doors. Everything is in good condition and nicely preserved since the build was completed a few years ago, including the rubberized floor coatings. The engine bay has also been modernized and tastefully decorated to match the overall theme of clean yet modern. With 350 cubic inches, the engine moves the pickup with ease and looks great wearing gray Chevrolet valve covers and a matching air cleaner. Lots of new components, including the wiring harness, brake system, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, and long-tube headers ensure that it is reliable as well as powerful, and it has a fantastic V8 bark from the dual exhaust. A big front sway bar gives the big truck surprisingly nimble handling, and with a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission heavy-duty rear end it's still ready to work, too. Big 20-inch Jax alloy wheels fit well and carry 285/50/20 Cooper radials that fill the truck's wheel wells perfectly. Nicely built and clearly a product of someone with a plan, this handsome C-20 drives as great as it looks, which is really saying something.
