This beautiful and unique car was originally equipped with a 396 V8 and was upgraded to a high performance, tire melting 427 V8 (built using a 454 block). Its in very good condition and has been repainted once with little to no body work or patching. The doors, hood, trunk lid all open and close exceptionally well and line up to factory specs. The interior is in incredibly good condition, especially when considering that it appears to be untouched. The only exception is the added gauges, seen in the pictures, that were mounted to otherwise flawless dash. All of the lights, radio and gauges work as they should. The engine bay is stock and appears to be VERY original (survivor quality but very clean). The bottom of car is original and is also very clean. The glass is original and in very good condition. The bumpers and trim appear to be original and not re-plated but are in very good condition. The wheels are original and refinished with tires that were replaced about 8 years ago with only maintenance miles put on them since. The bottom line is that this car is in exceptional overall condition, especially when considering its so original and unrestored for the most part. It runs and drives amazing! This car , when found , still had its original black paint and turquoise interior( but sunbaked). No other options... Take this 1966 Chevy Biscayne 2-door sedan for example. Plain, simple, even subdued... but deadly. Behind that unassuming exterior there's a thumping 427 cubic inch V8 and all the hardware to plant the power, making this the kind of car that crushes egos with impunity. OK, the sleeper look is anything but these days, but there's so much to love about the industrial-strength looks of this vicious Biscayne. Plain old white certainly helps, but underneath there's incredibly straight bodywork that either cost a fortune or came from someplace warm where it was only driven by a little old lady going to church. This sucker is CLEAN! There's a bit of orange peel here and there and it's not show quality, but it totally nails the inconspicuous look that makes sleepers so successful. The two-door sedan body style offers the strength that's necessary to stand up to the rigors of street racing with a big block, and there aren't many extras tacked onto the body to slow it down. Observant guys might notice the '427' emblems on the front fenders, but it's unlikely this car will sit still long enough for anyone to get that close. The chrome bumpers are decent, but not so nice they look like someone was spending money, so the car has a very purposeful look that's exactly right. The blue bench seat interior is probably largely original, with perhaps a set of fresh seat covers at some point in its life. Regardless, it has a stylish look that sticks with the no-nonsense attitude of the whole car. You'll have to hold on tight because you'll slide across that bench in hard corners, but it also offers unimpeded access to the floor-mounted 4-speed Hurst shifter. The original gauges are all you get and they only cover speed and fuel level, so you'll be shifting by ear in the heat of battle, but given the robust hardware, you'll probably find this one is pretty hard to break. Remarkably, it's got A/C installed under the dash, but with all that excess horsepower, the big block doesn't seem to mind, but beyond that, this one is economy class all the way. Heck, there's not even a radio! It does offer a gargantuan trunk which is fitted with a full-sized spare that's mounted in just the right place to do some good when the hammer drops. The engine is a stout 427 cubic inch V8, a legendary powerplant that makes grown men smile just thinking about it. It's rebuilt to L72 425 horsepower specs, and believe me, that's plenty! Chevy Orange paint, a stock air cleaner, and correct decals add to the factory look, with the A/C and alternator upgrades along for the ride. That's an Edelbrock intake that's been painted to blend in, along with a set of long-tube headers and an HEI ignition system, so it runs superbly. The cackling Flowmaster exhaust system probably doesn't help with secrecy, but when you're packing a 427, it's hard not to want to advertise a little bit. The underside is original and quite clean, and there's a stock 10-bolt out back to try to hook up all that horsepower. Plain steel wheels are color-matched to the body and wear relatively fat 225/70/15 front and 275/60/15 rear Firestone radials. This is one nasty car and we love everything about it. It's not for guys who like to be the center of attention, but if performance without drama is your thing, you're going to love this Biscayne.
