For Sale: 2004 Chevrolet Silverado Extra-Cab 4-Door 3500 4x4 Utility Service Bed Turbo Diesel Truck - NEEDS WORK! It does overheat when driven 25+ miles, and bubbles outta the over-flo tank. But I don't see any oil in the water, don't smoke or water in the oil. The upper radiator hose is rock hard, so maybe it might be a stuck thermostat or clogged radiator? - But worse case, it's a blown head gasket which is around $1,500.00 to have someone do it with the newer design head gasket set. I'd have it towed to get it fixed if I was you. INTERIOR: Interior needs help, the head liner is pretty much falling down & dirty, the drivers seat is totally shot with a huge piece missing out of it, the rear seat has some paint spilled on it, and the front passengers seat has a minor hole where you get in and out. There is also some much needed cleaning to be done in the inside, but other-wise it's a good work truck. No Carpet, but has the vinyl flooring.BODY: Body does have some minor bumps, bruises, scuffs, paint chips, etc. Right front fender has a 4-6" small scrape on it, can't hardly notice. Right rear door of service body is damaged on the bottom right corner (see pic), other-wise not to bad of a body on this work truck. Get it detailed and I bet most of the minor scratches will come out. KBB is around $13,659.00 for this truck with the mileage, so I figured with the head gasket & interior stuff needed to be done, it'll cost around $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 to fix everything (I'd use junk/salvage yard interior parts, you'll save some cash). OR If you just fix the head gasket only, it'll cost you $1,500.00 or so, then you'll be in it for a GREAT deal and have a great work truck - These trucks run forever and ever, and hold their values. This is fairly hard to find to being 4-door, 4x4, Diesel. LOOKING for DECENT offers on this truck, NOT looking for tire kickers or someone that wants a new truck for next to nothing.
