THANK YOU1990 Chevrolet 1500 SS 454 Pickup w/ 2068 miles -- $33,900.00Introduction Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS. You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve collected and sold nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve collected and sold over 300 classic cars and trucks. I own the entire inventory and know each vehicle well. I don’t offer consignments but will occasionally list a vehicle for a family member or friend. I currently sell 90% of my classic cars and trucks privately on various websites and 10% of my classic cars and trucks at the Barrett Jackson auto auctions. I’ve had many vehicles sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles at multiple Barrett Jackson auctions. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’ve also featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I also have had many vehicles that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are already completed and slightly redesign them, service them and detail them. I have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. However, currently I’m not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! I opened the new facility located in Seekonk, Massachusetts in 2012. MS CLASSIC CARS is closed to the public but available by appointment Monday-Friday. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale between the current inventory and coming soon page. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. I’ll consider all trades. If you’d like to be added to the MS CLASSIC CARS VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up. Please also like MS CLASSIC CARS on Facebook for updates. The power of networking is amazing! MarketI've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over 15 years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. I’m just a 39 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealer’s license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. The bottom line is I went all in. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” Marc Schiliro – The Owner Description1990 Chevrolet 1500 SS 454 Pickup w/ 2,068 miles ATTENTION CHEVROLET PICKUP COLLECTORS AND ENTHUSIASTS! THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY! To create the Chevrolet 454 SS, Chevrolet plucked its big-block V-8 from the heavy-duty-truck line, stuffed it into a short-box C1500 pickup, stirred in some special performance goodies, and colored the creation in Onyx Black. Thus emerged a relatively lightweight two-wheel-drive half-ton packing a monster 7.4-liter V-8. Although the V-8 produced only 230 horsepower, its strong suit was torque: 385 lbs/ft of it at a mere 1600 rpm. This kind of grinding force resulted in 0-60 mph in under eight seconds, which was Ford Mustang GT territory at the time. The whole package cost $18,295, including Bilstein shocks, quick-ratio steering, heavy front anti-roll bar, and beefy 275/60R15 tires on chrome styled steel wheels. Separate coolers were added for engine oil and transmission fluid, while a heavy-duty radiator kept the V-8 running cool. Silverado trim with Garnet Red cloth reclining high-back bucket seats; standard air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, and lightly tinted glass. Other standard equipment included stereo with equalizer, sliding rear window, power door locks and power windows. The only sign that this was no ordinary pickup was the red bowtie emblem, a blackout grille and six-slot chrome wheels. Many buff books reported that the SS handled with great agility for a truck. At highway speeds the truck could easily cruise all day at greater than legal velocities. Jim Rogers of Springfield, Missouri heard about this pickup before it was officially announced and so he immediately went to his local Chevrolet dealer named Reliable Chevrolet to pre order the truck. On 02-27-1989 they did a Purchase and Sales agreement and he gave them a $1000.00 deposit. This piece of documentation is included with the sale of the truck. When Chevrolet officially announced production Jim’s truck was marked. He ended up taking delivery of his truck on December 13th, 1989. The original dealer PDI sheet and purchase and sales agreement is included as well. He paid MSRP which was $18,845.00. Jim didn’t purchase this truck just for fun but also as an investment. A copy of the original title is included as well. Jim was true to his plan and ended up keeping the truck until 2011. From what I’ve gathered Jim passed and his wife sold the truck to a classic car dealer who sold the truck at an auction. My friend who has a dealer license purchased the truck at the auction on 01-18-2011 and it’s been in his collection ever since. He decided to sell the truck to MS CLASSIC CARS. This truck is really a one owner truck. The exterior of this truck is in beautiful overall condition. It’s obviously always been stored indoors. The Onyx Black paint is deep and shines like a new penny. It still retains the Reliable Chevrolet decal on the rear tailgate. The wheels and tires are in excellent condition. The BF Goodrich 275-60-15 tires appear to be original. The garnet custom cloth interior is also in beautiful condition with no signs of wear. When you’re sitting in this truck it still feels and smells new. This truck came standard with many factory options that are listed below. The engine compartment is nicely detailed. It still retains the factory marks and tags. Its home to the massive 7.4L 454 V8. This engine produces 230 HP and 385 TQ which makes it a low end beast. The truck starts smoothly and runs excellent. The undercarriage is very clean. It also retains the factory marks and tags. Here’s a list of the factory standard equipment: • Engine oil cooler. • Heavy duty radiator. • Transmission oil cooler. • Variable ratio power steering. • Front stabilizer bar. • Independent front suspension. • Disc/drum power brake system. • Rear wheel anti-lock brakes. • All welded cargo box. • 85 AMP alternator. • Air conditioning. • Electronically tuned AM/FM stereo radio with cassette, clock and EQ. • Power windows and door locks. • Electronic speed control. • Comfortilt steering wheel. • High-back bucket seats with console. • Performance handling package. • Intermittent wipers. • Auxiliary lighting. • Tinted glass. • Volt-temp-oil pressure gauges. • Sliding rear window. • Halogen headlamps. • Base clear coat paint with gravel anti-chip protection. • 26 Gallon fuel tank. • Aero-style LH and RH mirrors. • Removable tailgate. • Side window defogger. MS CLASSIC CARS completely serviced this truck including the following: • Complete vehicle inspection and road test. • Drain fuel from gas tank and replace with fresh fuel. • Replace radiator due to crack in the old one. • Replace oil pan gasket. • Replace spark plugs. • Install R134A retro-fit kit and charge ac system. • Sand and paint muffler. • Sand and paint intake manifold. • Paint driveshaft and touch up undercarriage. • Replace 2 rear wheel cylinders and bleed brake lines. “As my website indicates I’m a huge enthusiast of classic vehicles from the 80’s and 90’s. Keep in mind I graduated high school in 1994 so these vehicles are what I dreamed of owning when I was a teenager. The 1990 Chevrolet 1500 SS 454 pickup has always been an admired classic truck from the 90’s. GM did a great job giving a pickup truck some muscle car DNA. These trucks have become very collectable over the years and I believe they make a sound investment. If you’ve been searching the market for a 1990 Chevrolet 1500 SS 454 Pickup you know there not easy to find in original condition with low mileage. This particular truck is the cream of the crop. It’s a documented one owner with only 2,068 original miles. Yes, 2,068 miles. The truck is in overall beautiful condition! It’s been completely serviced and detailed by MS CLASSIC CARS. This is a great opportunity to purchase a classic truck for a reasonable price. Get it before someone else does!” Marc Schiliro- the owner Inspection ReportUnfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers and private parties aren't exactly what are being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell. I'm not a consignment dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck on a vehicle that they don't even own. I’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale. They never even touched the vehicle. Even with 15+ years’ experience and having collected and sold over 300 classic vehicles I’ve experienced that all the classic vehicles need some attention. Obviously some need more than others but the bottom line is they all need something. I do the best of our ability to purchase quality classic vehicles, prepare them and advertise them honestly. To be clear I’m not in the restoration business. I collect and sell classic vehicles that have already been restored and do our best to bring them to another level with service and detail work. Unlike many dealers when you call or email to inquire about a classic vehicle you speak directly to me. I purchase all the classic vehicles for MS CLASSIC CARS, follow the service and detail process, write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answer all the calls and emails. I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I knows about it. I'll also give you my personal opinion about the classic vehicle of your choice and decide if it’s truly the right fit for you. If you've read the introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world. These are older vehicles and aren’t new but were doing our best to make them function, look great and honestly describe them. I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value. I’m currently selling 80% of my vehicles within 30 days of listing them for sale. Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I’ll make it a very easy process from start to finish. Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air. A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package. I'll also assist in enclosed door to door transportation. I look forward to working with you. Please read my testimonials and eBay positive feedback. Thank you for the opportunity!
