Up for auction is a great example of an affordable hot rod truck, that has the look and flavor of the 100k big boy trucks for a fraction of the cost. There is also still room to personalize it and continue the transformation. Its a California truck, I purchased it from a Navy guy who just moved to Fl. he got it on air and had the truck looking good, so I love these trucks, I had to have it. I had it for several months and was bored with the standard black paint it had, and basic boring interior, so, this is what I ended up with. The body was very solid and straight, it had the drip rails shaved and it looks better than factory, I decide to do a nice Faux Patina in an original color these trucks were available in back then. Then matte clear was applied over to protect the finish. All the chrome is new, emblems, door handles, etc.. It looks amazing, every where this truck goes I get a crowd of people around it. The interior is a candy gold with a plaid accents, the colors compliment one another very well. It has all Auto meter gauges, spedo, tach, fuel gauge ,oil , temp, amp, and they all work. The wheels are 18 aluminum Ralley wheels , the lip is machined to look like a trim ring, its one piece. The air ride works great, it has big 2500 lb bags on all four corners , all new shocks, and the rear has ben C-notched , it has a nice controller which allows each corner to be adjusted individually if desired. The engine is a 350, its mild, headers and a 4bbl, new 4 core radiator, the engine is also very well detailed to match the truck. backed up with a T-5 which shifts perfectly. The windshield is new, as are the vent windows, all the weather strips are new, along with the felts.
