This car was built in 1993 by Bill Connelly of Upstate Replicas in NY. He used the car as a dealer car and sold it in 1997 to the original owner. I have the original one owner title in hand. This is a Contemporary Model # SC427 and Chassis # CCX-33455 and is probably as close to the original car as you could get. It has a Round Tube chassis with the Jag front end and Koni shocks, a Jag rear with inboard disc brakes and the correct four Coil overs with Spax shocks, A custom aluminum gas tank, the correct 1966 Ford 428 police intercepter engine with the correct expansion tank, the correct 4 speed Ford Top Loader trans and five pin knock off wheels with the correct Goodyear Billboard tires. The car comes with new windshield wipers and a dual fan kit that mounts the dual fans in front of the radiator. It also has a heater that just needs the hoses re connected, I didn't like them on the motor and I live in Fl. The car has the correct seats and carpet as well as the correct gauges and Lucas switches. The engine compartment is all aluminum as is the trunk and its hard to tell that it is not an aluminum car. The car also comes with a tonneau cover. The car runs great and looks great. There are some stone chips on the fenders but if you are going to drive one of these you will get stone chips. For anyone looking for the next best thing to an original Shelby Cobra, this is a great buy and nearly impossible to duplicate.
