Note our 100% positive feedback, buy with confidence. CLICK PLAY FOR FULL VIDEO! -Please watch the video as it does help to describe this vehicle-Build was completed in early 2013-New crate 360 V8, 3500 miles on it-Rebuilt Automatic transmission, new torque converter, new seals etc-A/C is complete just need the dash control cables and switches connected to operate-New Painless wiring harness with elec fuel system curcuit-Fully insolated floors, doors, trunk, firewall-Petronix elec ignition-New Edelbrock AFB 4bbl carb with elec choke-New windshield and seal, all at time of build-Power disc brake front, drum rear, brakes are touchy but work well, new all brakes and lines were replaced, wheel cyl, calipers up front all at time of build-Grafted firewal from 1972 Dodge Dart, all controls, assemblies, and A/C system-This car gets a near 20 mpg on the hwy-2.76:1 rear end gearing, the rear axle is from the same 1972 Dart-Fuel tank and filler are hybrid style, basically grafted into this 51 from the 1972 Dart, sending unit and pickup-Steering column is from 1978 Dodge Diplomat with tilt wheel, works great, connected to orig steering box-Power rack and pinion, leaks, not the best turning radius but almost typical of a car of it's age-New radiator at time of build-New hoses -Orig 1951 frame and body, has minor dings, no major boday work but floors have been replaced-Paint is a very thick base style paint. I know very little about paint however I did use my filler dtector on the cracks in the paint to see if it was full of filler and zero showed on meter. It appears it's simply the primer and paint are cracking together, I found one small spot in front of drivers side front fender with light filler, zero cancer under doors or in any other spots that I could find, Solid cab, door entries, pillars, and rear pass floors-I had a horrible trans leak so I had a local shop pull trans, new seals, turned out the torque converter was bad so I replaced and had them freshin up the trans, it works great-One goofy thing that just happened to me while preparring this ad...I thought the battery was dead yet it tested perfect, I took a screw driver and tapped on what I believe is the starter regulator it fired right away. It has not done it again in over 20 starts. Wires all look great. Plan to replace this little part, it's against the firewall on driver side very small and easy to get to-Car comes with stainless trim, looks like it's all there, I did not inventory each piece, but again it looks like it's all there.-Hi/Lo on head lights work, Tail lights work, Park lights work, blinkers work but right front is out, Speedo works, all gauges work, cracks in side glass but they will go up and down, door locks need a little attention, e brake is in-op and needs attention, heat and A/C need connection to dash controls, no horn, clock is in-op, am/fm.cd and all 4 speakers work -I reserve the right to end listing early if I have a solid Buy It Now offer, I sell 75% of my classics like that -Please call with questions, there's nothing like a transparent conversationPlease understand that I buy clean Arizona vehicles and if they need something obvious I repair them, within reason, and place them on eBay. Note our 100% positive feedback, buy with confidence. CLICK PLAY FOR FULL VIDEO! -Please watch the video as it does help to describe this vehicle -Build was completed in early 2013 -New crate 360 V8, 3500 miles on it -Rebuilt Automatic transmission, new torque converter, new seals etc -A/C is complete just need the dash control cables and switches connected to operate -New Painless wiring harness with elec fuel system curcuit -Fully insolated floors, doors, trunk, firewall -Petronix elec ignition -New Edelbrock AFB 4bbl carb with elec choke -New windshield and seal, all at time of build -Power disc brake front, drum rear, brakes are touchy but work well, new all brakes and lines were replaced, wheel cyl, calipers up front all at time of build -Grafted firewal from 1972 Dodge Dart, all controls, assemblies, and A/C system -This car gets a near 20 mpg on the hwy -2.76:1 rear end gearing, the rear axle is from the same 1972 Dart -Fuel tank and filler are hybrid style, basically grafted into this 51 from the 1972 Dart, sending unit and pickup -Steering column is from 1978 Dodge Diplomat with tilt wheel, works great, connected to orig steering box -Power rack and pinion, leaks, not the best turning radius but almost typical of a car of it's age -New radiator at time of build -New hoses -Orig 1951 frame and body, has minor dings, no major boday work but floors have been replaced -Paint is a very thick base style paint. I know very little about paint however I did use my filler dtector on the cracks in the paint to see if it was full of filler and zero showed on meter. It appears it's simply the primer and paint are cracking together, I found one small spot in front of drivers side front fender with light filler, zero cancer under doors or in any other spots that I could find, Solid cab, door entries, pillars, and rear pass floors -I had a horrible trans leak so I had a local shop pull trans, new seals, turned out the torque converter was bad so I replaced and had them freshin up the trans, it works great -One goofy thing that just happened to me while preparring this ad...I thought the battery was dead yet it tested perfect, I took a screw driver and tapped on what I believe is the starter regulator it fired right away. It has not done it again in over 20 starts. Wires all look great. Plan to replace this little part, it's against the firewall on driver side very small and easy to get to -Car comes with stainless trim, looks like it's all there, I did not inventory each piece, but again it looks like it's all there. -Hi/Lo on head lights work, Tail lights work, Park lights work, blinkers work but right front is out, Speedo works, all gauges work, cracks in side glass but they will go up and down, door locks need a little attention, e brake is in-op and needs attention, heat and A/C need connection to dash controls, no horn, clock is in-op, am/fm.cd and all 4 speakers work -I reserve the right to end listing early if I have a solid Buy It Now offer, I sell 75% of my classics like that -Please call with questions, there's nothing like a transparent conversation Please understand that I buy clean Arizona vehicles and if they need something obvious I repair them, within reason, and place them on eBay. The Plymouth Savoy made its debut in 1951, as a sub-model of the Concord; it was a premium version of the popular Suburban wagon. 1951 was the first year of unique and distinct car names for every Plymouth, including Concord, Cambridge and Cranbrook VS the prior alphanumeric codes and Deluxe/Special Deluxe schemes. Yet, all Plymouths were essentially the same car with different levels of trim; they even shared a single engine. MotoeXotica Classic cars is pleased to present the beautiful 1956 Plymouth Savoy you see pictured. This car was purchased new in San Francisco and has spent the past 16 years living in the wonderful, dry climate of arizona. The original Service Certificate and Owners Handbook are also included with the car! This awesome Plymouth has been correctly restored in the recent past and has been finished in the correct original colors. Finished in the correct two tone turquoise and black, the paint shows few minor imperfections and looks great. The body is straight as an arrow and solid, just like any 50s era car should be! The chrome is in equally good of shape, showing only minor perfections and shining brilliantly! Overall, this Savoy is a head turner with its unique color combination and nostalgic body lines. Inside, you will find that the turquoise and black combination is also on the interior. The correct turquoise cloth and black vinyl seats are in great condition, showing no notable wear or imperfections to speak of. The door panels and black carpet also look great. The headliner does have a few minor stains but the inside of the car still shows well. The dashboard is white, looks fantastic and really compliments the two tone interior. The dash still houses original style gauges Under the hood, you\'ll find the original 277 cubic inch, 4.4L V8 engine, which was the first of the \"A\" Polysphere V8s and are capable of up to 187 horsepower. 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook American Classic. 62000 miles-3 speed manual transmission-Rear wheel drive-4 door sedan-Exterior color is Wedgewood Blue with Gray cloth interior-Partially restored-White wall tires-Straight shift-New brakes and tires. Note. See below for history.-The Plymouth Cranbrook was built by the Plymouth division of Chrysler from 1951 to 1953.-It replaced the Special Deluxe when Plymouth changed its naming scheme it was essentially the same as the Concord and Cambridge but at a higher trim level.-The name Cranbrook may have been taken from a city in British Columbia but it may also have been taken from Cranbrook Drive in Detroit this small street intersected with Cambridge Avenue. -Both streets are between 7 Mile Road West and 8 Mile Road West near the dodge Main plant. -Concord Street ran by the plant. This indicates that the cars may have been named after streets near Chrysler Corporation facilities.-The Plymouth Cranbrook as a car was conservatively styled designed to fit K.T. Kellers notion that cars be practical and allow drivers to sit upright while wearing a hat it was sold at a time when competitors favored the low and sleek look. -Differences between the 1951 Special Deluxe and the 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook are relatively few in number and scope with interchangeable glass and doors but different rubber seals lack of wood grain on the instrument panel plastic brake handle instead of chrome and other similar changes.-More substantial was having what had been the hood release handle function as the overdrive control. -Fender lettering and other badging necessarily changed as well. From a distance the cars were essentially similar.-Serious inquires only. Qualified buyers are eligible for Financing Nationwide Shipping and Extended Warranties.
