1980 Cutlass, originally from west coast. JUST professionally detailed! NEW tires January 2015, 205 75r 14 inch (stock size) Goodyears, with road hazard warranty. About 30 miles on them. Non-computer controlled. (as in it likely originally was not sold in CA) Garage Kept. Weekend driver for past 10 years. I have had this car since 1996. It was my first car. I know everything about it, and every part, and every option. I would trust this car to make any distance drive as the engine and drive train are basically new, and the tires are new. The following were done in 2010/2011 more than $5000 invested in engine alone350 ci SBC engine, bought new in 2001 from GM Performance, rebuilt by Windy City Engine in Chicago in 2010, receipts to prove.bearings sealscrank polishednew pistonsnew ringsbored over .030 (if i recall) to 355Painted with Eastwood engine enamel for high quality long lasting color and shineedelbrock performer cam and lifters and rodscompetition cams magnum roller rockers edelbrock vortec intake with Durashine finishpolished valve coversEdlebrock extra heavy duty timing chain, with three piece coverGm Performance Vortex headsflowtech headersnew harmonic balancerMSD distributer (also included in auction is an extra MSD digital model, needs a new part to work)dual exhaust with flow master mufflers3.42 rear gear by Auburn new in 2003GM Performance serpentine belt systemNEW (not rebuilt)JET Stage II Quadrajet 4bl carburetor with spread bore to square more plateNew clutch fannew high performance water pumpGets 12-15 MPG around town, 17+ on freeway at 55PMH. Could be improved with changing the rear gear back to 2.41!working A/C, (needs a quick refill charge, converted to r134). New compressor, new hoses, new seals, new evaporator, new dryer in 2010/11working heater, new coreTransmission totally rebuilt approx 2000 miles ago by AAMCO, receipts to prove. Shifts perfectly. $2000-ish invested. TH350Also of note...added the Rally pac gauges, all the gauges work. All dummy lights work.original Delco radio with aux input, picturedRARE 1980 only special order alloy 442 wheels in Silver (also available in Gold on the Hurst Olds)Suspension rebuilt about 10 years ago with new tie rods, center link. Recently installed a new idler arm. New control arm bushings in Feb 2015. Handles great.RARE Monte Carlo SS quick ratio steering box, I think from a 1985. Hard to find! Makes a huge sporty difference1980 Cutlass sport steering wheel, in good shaperecently added 1978 Rear tail lights, with the light up Rocket emblem restored and working. Not original, but I like themNew old stock rear bumper, back coated with POR15 for longevity. LIFETIME brakes from Firestone Masterservice. Basically the only thing I ever need to have done is the rotors and bearings up front and I think the drum in back. Everything else is included under warranty.Has the AC idle solenoid relay to bump up the idle when AC is on. Hunted many a junk yard for it!Most the smog equipment is there, lacks EGR and Catalytic converter. Please check your local smog laws or make the appropriate changes. Steering column is rebuilt so does not sag! Edlebrock rear sway bar, with edlebrock shocks in 2011. F Body thick front sway bar and performance bushings and end links in 2011Lifetime front Springs from MidasG Body station wagon rear springs (stiff, but help keep wheels planted and you can carry a lot of stuff without the body dragging on the rear tires)Uninstalled Jeep steering shaft, sanded and painted, ready to be installed. The existing shaft is fine. Bought this as a performance upgrade.Including a 1980 Olds Service manualAlso included in sale of car Edelbrock #350-3701 Performer Intake Manifold. Painted SBC blue. Took off when engine was rebuilt. Requires older SBC heads. Will not work with Vortec Heads ($188 value) Currently License and registered in Indiana, clean title, but I am MOVING to Illinois and downsizing. Time to depart with my car. And now the "Bad"1. Needs a new or recored or radiator eventually, pin hole leak cooks off fluid, though not quickly, (easy-peesy to replace) new ones are around $120-$150 at Autozone. 2. Front passenger tie rod is worn and could be replaced, it will then need an alignment. The part is under warranty though, you just gotta pop it off and take it into Autozone. This issue does not affect drivability. 3. Headliner needs replaced ($130 or so online)4. nicks and scratches in the paint. you could take it to Macco...5. some rust in the rear quarter panels, pictured, could use some general body work. The rust is surface rust and the body appears to be solid. I have a video on Youtube you can see where I poke at the spot to show it is still solid. 6. One of the bumper trim cut outs on driver side front is missing. I have TWO new replacements, primered and ready to go. I am including those in the auction. ONLY INCLUDED IN BUY IT NOW PRICE (underlined)I also have the following in Storage in MI, if you give me my asking price you can come and get them in Belleville, MI...1. Blue reclining bucket seats and matching rear, recovered, but dusty! If you want to add buckets those are gonna cost you $500+ for the set, used. 2. a matching year steering column for floor shift to convert from column shift, with blue sport steering wheel 3. A Stedfast auto security collar steering column anti-theft colar 4. most the hard to find parts to add cruise control, needs the soiled and transducer (available through online)5. Set of several original GM radios, rare ETR autotune cassette, AM/FM, AM/FM with 8 Track, original AM only radios. All work but I would recap them. 6. A 5th 442 ally rim, with no center cap. Unpainted. I was going to use it as a 5th tire/spare in trunk. Never got around to buying a full size tire and mounting it7. The matching upper door panels to the above bucket seats8. lower plastic door panels in dark blue, in good shape, no sun damage. 9/10 condition. Boxed.9. A new old stock rear passenger side wheel well stainless steel trim. There is a dent on the existing molding, you can see it in the video. Shipping info: Car is located in CHICAGO. If you want to Fly into Chicago and drive it home that works great for me. I will also help arrange shipping pick up. I recommend UShip.com. IF you decide you want to BuyItNow for my asking price, or you make a suitable and acceptable offer which includes the extra Seats, and I accept it, you will have to pick up the other parts in Belleville, MI, OR I can move the car myself to MI, and you can pick up EVERYTHING in MI. Rarer than its Grand National cousins over at Buick, it's a fun piece of luxury/muscle. Don't let the flashy wheels fool you, this is a highly original and authentic car. Showing just 66,611 original miles, it should be no surprise that the black-over-silver factory paint job is still in great shape. Sure, there are a few signs of use and age, but it's very obvious that this car was treated as something special from the day it rolled out of the showroom. The black shows quite well with a deep gloss and even parts like the rubber bumper covers and nose are in excellent shape. The aero headlights give it a sleeker look and with subtle '442' decals, it has a menacing look without doing a lot of shouting. They de-chromed the 442 a bit compared to its Cutlass siblings, but the shiny stuff that remains is in very good condition, particularly the wrap-around bumper and stainless windshield surround. The decals might just now be starting to show their age, but if it bugs you, reproductions are available and they're very inexpensive. The windows have a medium tint, which surely helps with comfort and definitely makes it look sinister. The all-original interior shows only very modest signs of use and age, and demonstrates where Oldsmobile's priorities lie. This 442 came loaded with accessories, ranging from A/C to power windows, locks, and driver's seat, to a tilt wheel and cruise control. The bucket seats are still supportive and comfortable, with only the driver's chair showing the expected amount of wear. The gauges are still clear and bright and combined with the center console, represent a fairly drastic turn for normally conservative Oldsmobile. The original Delco stereo is long gone, replaced by a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with remote, and the difference is noticeable, particularly with the T-tops removed. And speaking of T-tops, these are in very good condition with good weather seals, the perfect iconic look from the 1980s. Open the trunk and there's still tons of storage space, along with a factory mat and an original space-saver spare tire. Oldsmobile's rugged, reliable, and torquey 307 cubic inch V8 was standard equipment in the 442, and yes, it is topped with a 4-barrel carburetor, so it lives up to its namesake. There are quite a few performance upgrades available for these engines, but this one remains gratefully stock, right down to the factory air cleaner up top. There are signs of conscientious maintenance throughout the engine bay and most recently, the A/C system was converted to R134a refrigerant. It starts easily and idles smoothly enough to wear the Oldsmobile badge, although with a slightly more throaty exhaust system, it sounds predatory. It's clean underneath, which you should expect with so few miles, and the 200-4R 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is a great travelling partner on long highway trips, even with 3.73 gears out back. The suspension is a bit firmer than you'd expect from Oldsmobile, but it's still quite comfortable, and as I said, the only notable modification are those gorgeous Coys alloy wheels with 225/40/18 front and 255/30/20 rear performance radials. Rare, fast, and fun, this 442 is a great car for the Oldsmobile fan who grew up in the '80s. THIS IS A CANADIAN CAR and actual MILEAGE IN KM is 76,420 THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE T-TOP or MOONROOF Thank you for your interest below is a bit of background on these fabulous cars A great opportunity to own a real Hurst/Olds. The mid-Eighties were strange times for performance car fans. The glory days of the muscle car era were only about 15 years earlier, but when they ended, an entirely new mentality overtook the public consciousness. A little more than a decade later, the good old days might well have been ancient history, as cars changed profoundly and fundamentally. Front-wheel drive, fuel injection, and ads that touted miles per gallon rather than miles per hour were the norm in the 1980s. The few models that had performance intents were next-generation cars with McPherson strut suspensions, turbochargers, and dashboards that looked like circuit boards. Then there was the 1983 Hurst/Olds. A model designed to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the original, 1968 model, the “new” Hurst/Olds was really a 15-year-later example of classic Sixties architecture: body-on-frame construction (GM’s venerable G-body), control-arm front suspension, and a V-8 engine driving a live rear axle. There was no space-age styling or monochromatic trim. The Cutlass-based Hurst/Olds was boxy and ringed with chrome. Only 3,001 examples were built (201 sold in Canada), all of them black with a silver lower body and red dividing stripe. Special badges, door graphics, a rear spoiler, and styled steel wheels were part of the striking exterior package. All of the cars came off Olds’ assembly line in Lansing, MI, and then shipped about 45 miles away to secondary manufacturer Cars and Concepts, which changed each Cutlass into a Hurst model. Each carried the order code W-40. T-tops were an $825 option, and a power moonroof was offered, too. Performance-wise, every Hurst/Olds packed a four-barrel-fed, 307-cube engine with 180 horsepower, a Hydra-Matic 200-4R overdrive transmission, and a 3.73 rear axle. Along with its 180 horses was a solid 245 lb-ft of torque. It was a combination good for 16-second quarter-miles and 0-60 sprints of about nine seconds. The performance may not have set the dragstrip on fire, but the Hurst Lightning Rod shifter system gave the car a unique, signature feature that looked wild and worked quite well. Essentially a mechanical version of the electronically controlled, manual-shift automatics used in many cars today, the Lightning Rod shifter enabled the driver to use a separate shifter for each upshift. The shifter has proven very robust over the years, with most owners reporting problems related to the basic 200-4R transmission to which it is connected. However, replacement shifters and parts for them basically don’t exist, so if one breaks, the owner is stuck–figuratively and perhaps, literally. "Okay to call as late as 11:00pm.” (FaceTime available for only serious buyers, since the car is sitting at my storage) Hello, up for sale is a very rare 4-SPEED 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400. I honestly  haven't owned this too long. When my son and I saw it with a FOR SALE sign on the side of a backwoods road in (Boring, Oregon) we just had to stop out of curiosity. Expecting to see an automatic, our jaws dropped when we saw that it was a 4-SPEED. I personally haven't seen one probably since the 80's. I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT! I would love to restore it, but just don't have the time. Not a money issue, but just a time issue is all. Anyways, I could keep going on and on listing things about it but you really must see it to appreciate just how nice it is. Miles: Odometer shows 19,125 "works," but most likely 119,000 VIN #: 2U87T3N141865 Engine: Not original matching numbers. Has a slightly built Chevy 350 small block. Runs and drives, (see YouTube video link.) Transmission: 4-SPEED manual (Shifts great through all 4 gears and not sloppy at all.) Drivetrains: RWD Exterior: Black, needs paint. One dent on front fender, but not too bad. Has extremely small amount of rust. Interior: Grey carpet and the rest of the interior is black. Carpet and seats are new. Personally, I'd rather have black carpet. FOR YOUR INFORMATION: • Clean Oregon Title in hand. • Good tags until September, 2015. • Spare wheel. • Miscellaneous parts (see pics.) • Floor boards are solid. So is the trunk. • Runs and drives, (see YouTube video link.) • Engine starts up every time with no hesitation. • EXHAUST SYSTEM ALL NEW. (See pics.) • All windows are good with no cracks or rock chips. • Seals and chrome trim are good. • Wheels are not original, but look good and in near new condition still. • Drivers side door lock sticks sometimes. • Everything works on dash beside original tachometer. Most likely it’s just un-hooked. (Aftermarket one installed in working condition) Options: • 4-SPEED • Factory Air-Conditioning car, (not hooked up.) • Front power disc brakes • AM/FM Stereo, (currently not in working condition, UNKNOWN.) • MP3 (Single Disc), (currently not in working condition, UNKNOWN.) • Speakers, (currently not in working condition, UNKNOWN.) • Fitted Car Cover with lock ?
