From Casillas de Coria, Spain. Marine Blue with Alaska White safari roof and wheels over gray cloth. 2.25L diesel, 4-speed manual transmission. 87,000 original miles in the care of just one owner. Used regularly as a bread delivery truck (and occasional ambulance) in a small village in western Spain near the Portuguese border. Starts easily, and runs and drives exactly as it should. No structural rust anywhere, and no rust in the chassis. All the upper bodywork (white painted part) can be removed, allowing the truck to run fully open, with the windshield either in place or folded flat. In unrestored and largely original condition, wearing extremely charming patina. Some dings and dents, and some cosmetic rust in hinges and bolts and such. Recent wing mirrors, battery, front brake pads, brake master cylinder, and brake fluid flush, and ready to drive anywhere. A wonderful, evocative example of the well-loved Series IIA Land Rover, with a truly unique history, ready to write the next chapter of its story on this side of the pond. Conveys with clear Virginia title. Our story and history with the vehicle can be found here: '1971 Land Rover 109 Santana' 1971 Land Rover 109 Series-IIA Santana - 2.25 4-Cylinder Diesel - 4-spd manual transmission, high-low transfer case - 2-door truck, seats 3 - Removable bodywork (see photos) lets you drive open-air - Clear CBP, DOT, and EPA paperwork conveys - Located in Richmond, VA Interior: The original seats had met their match after 44 years, so the previous owner had them reupholstered in the fabric you see in the shots. Seats three across the front, with the rear wide open ready for it's next great adventure. There's some light surface oxidization on some of the interior of the upper bodywork as shown in the photos.  Exterior: The wheels and white upper bodywork are both recently repainted, and while there's some spots of over-spray evident, when taken in context along with the original blue bodywork, it looks just fine. The logo from their bakery remains on the door.  Drivetrain: It just received a new battery, which I mention as you reference Montana - we put in a big-'ol-honker of a battery, rated for 1000 CCA at 32-degrees / and 850 CCA at 0-degrees (Far). The truck fires up quickly and without holding the glow plugs here in Virginia. We just put on new front brake shoes, and replaced the master cylinder.  Misc: It'll need tires sometime in the near future if you're going to go offroad. It does include a spare, 5th wheel.

The rear of the seats are not upholstered, but the seats and backs are, and look good. The truck seats three across the front, with the rear wide open ready for it's next great adventure. There's some light surface oxidization on some of the interior of the upper bodywork as shown in the photos. The interior is otherwise just as any other Series-IIA; spartan, but absolutely functional. Exterior: The wheels and white upper bodywork are both recently repainted, and while there's some spots of over-spray evident, when taken in context along with the original blue bodywork, it looks just fine. The logo from their bakery remains on the door. It'll need tires sometime in the near future if you're going to go offroad. It does include a spare, 5th wheel. The white roof / bodywork is removable, leaving a two-door, open cab pickup. Takes a couple people to get it done, but none of the bolts are siezed, nor is the top painted (stuck) on. Drivetrain: The truck has the same 2.25L four-cylinder diesel as every other Landy, mated to a four-speed transmission. 4WD engages smoothly. It just received a new battery, which I mention as you reference Montana - we put in a big-'ol-honker of a battery, rated for 1000 CCA at 32-degrees / and 850 CCA at 0-degrees (Far). The truck fires up quickly and without holding the glow plugs here in Virginia. We just put on new front brake shoes, and replaced the master cylinder. Administrative: Truck was legally imported through the Port of Baltimore, and conveys with copies of the approved import documentation if requested. Vehicle is currently registered in Virginia, and is sold with a clear, valid Virginia title from a duly-registered Virginia dealership. I'm a big fan of in-person inspections prior to purchase, and will happily talk anyone through the specifics of the truck as requested. In conjunction, the dealership can also review the truck as requested to help answer any specific questions. We can help coordinate domestic trucking, though that is at the expense of the buyer. We are not selling internationally at this time. Thanks for looking

Famous for going where other vehicles fear to tread, the brutally simple and utterly reliable Land Rover is your best bet when you're miles from civilization. Nothing says adventure like that canvas top and slab-sided bodywork. Iconic? Yep. Every safari show you've ever watched has one of these in the background, right? So you know what we're talking about here. But what you may not know is that not all Land Rovers were bashed to death in some jungle adventure. This one's aluminum flanks (yes, they were all made of aluminum to save weight) are in excellent condition, showing no signs of off-road abuse or being battered by an angry rhinoceros. It spent most of its life in South America (yes, we know there are no rhinoceroses in South America) but was imported to the US and treated to a major freshening befitting its rapidly increasing value. The Series II kept the headlights in their traditional center grille location, giving it that distinctive look that has been famous around the world for decades. The paint is a proper gray/blue that neatly reproduces the original stuff, which was army surplus stuff they had laying around after World War II. It shows a few signs of use, but then again, a Land Rover without a few battle scars is like a 5-star general without any medals. Inside, accommodations are spartan because luxury was a luxury you couldn't afford in the middle of nowhere. Reliability was paramount, and as a result, the interiors were made of durable, easy-to-maintain materials that would wear like iron. All the necessities are there, including a wide front bench that'll carry three across and a full array of instruments that are as close to universal as you're going to find. It's basic, don't get me wrong, so don't get in expecting a plush Range Rover experience, but if you're a fan of adventure and going places without roads, you'll definitely appreciate the no-nonsense approach. The entire interior has been restored to factory specs, including the gauges with a speedometer that reads in KPH, befitting its overseas mission. The rear compartment will accommodate perhaps six passengers or a ton of cargo, and shows light wear, but it's definitely ready for more fun. Even the canvas roof remains in great shape, having never been baked in the desert sun and it includes roll-up side curtains for the cargo area. The 2.3 liter engine won't win any drag races, but for rock climbing and severe duty, it's all about durability and gearing, and this engine excels. It's also relatively efficient and easy to service under all conditions. This truck shows just 1760 KM since it was restored, so it's barely broken in yet and looks great with all its heavy-duty filters and giant brass radiator up front. The 4-speed manual is easy to use, and the 4-wheel-drive system is arguably the world's best, giving the Land Rover the traction of a mountain goat. The frame is grossly over-built and the original hardware remains intact to give you the genuine experience, all restored to a very high standard. Even the factory-issue steel wheels wear tall, skinny off-roading tires and not fat modern radials, capturing the look perfectly. Clean Land Rovers are none too easy to find, and if adventure is your game, this is your ride. 1965 Land Rover Series IIA 88 Message - Recently Restored- Strong Mechanically- Rust-Free Original Chassis- Long-Time California Truck- Believed to have 59k Original Miles Dealership Information Goodman Reed Motorcars805-202-4557info@goodmanreed.comwww.goodmanreed.comSanta Barbara, CA Description 0 0 1 495 2827 Goodman Reed Corporation 23 6 3316 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Offered for sale is a gorgeous, restored 1965 Land Rover Series IIA LHD 88” Station Wagon finished in ever-desirable Pastel Green with a Limestone hard top over a black interior. A long time California truck, it retains its rust-free original chassis and engine, is believed to have traveled a mere 59k original miles and is as solid mechanically as it cosmetically clean. The Series IIA is widely regarded as the most enduring Series model constructed, both in terms of its mechanical and physical ruggedness and the perception the public has of the Land Rover marque in general. In the 1960s, dozens of films and documentaries showed the western world far away locales for the first time, almost always made accessible by someone driving a Series IIA. In many ways, it was during this period that Land Rover built its continuing legacy in the minds of the public and this IIA is the perfect representation of that. Aesthetically the truck is in excellent condition, the desirable and recently restored Pastel Green finish marred only by the most minimal of imperfections, none of which are significant enough to appear in the photographs. The galvanized trim beautifully defines the body, which retains factory correct panel fits and gaps. All of the window and door gaskets were replaced when the truck was painted, and, we should mention, the Limestone hardtop is as fine as the rest of the body's Pastel Green finish. Lastly, as a well-cared-for California example, the original chassis is unsurprising entirely solid and free of any harmful corrosion. The interior is also in great shape, the black seats showing only minimal wear and the interior paint virtually flawless throughout the front cabin, rear storage/seating area and the floors and station wagon ceiling. The dash is clean and straight forward with working gauges and switches, the rubber floor mats are new and the truck has new retractable front seat belts. The truck also has its front center seat and a full set of rear seats, however, while usable, they have not been refurbished. The IIA retains its original tried and true 2.25 Litre Petrol 4 cylinder engine that starts effortlessly, idles consistently and pulls strongly and smoothly under acceleration. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts crisply through each of the gears and the high, neutral and low ranges all function properly. Mechanically sorted, the truck has a new carburetor, upgraded high-output alternator, new wiring harness, new OEM fuel tank, new OEM exhaust from engine to tailpipe, new brake pads and calipers and new shocks and shock bushings. Compression is excellent and ride quality is everything you'd expect of a sorted Series IIA – rugged, visceral and grin-inducing. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an iconic, beautifully restored, mechanically strong LHD Series IIA ‘88 Station Wagon finished in an extremely desirable livery. Examples of this quality are quite rare here in the States and the collector car market is finally beginning to give them the credence they deserve, with values appreciating dramatically over the past few years. This fantastic example is ready to provide another 50+ years of trusty service and enjoyment for its next owner. ? ? ?Contact Us About Us Goodman Reed Motorcars is a boutique vintage car dealership specializing in the sale, location and brokerage of rare and collector quality vehicles. 1968 Land Rover Short Wheel Base (88 inch) Series IIA (sometimes called a “Defender” though in reality they were not called that in 1968). VIN 244342570 (proper but eBay does not recognize). 65,000 miles. This is a great daily driver. It is a rust-free southern truck. Very original inside and out. I have owned it for 9 years. I have 4 of them and I drive this one about one day per week. It needs nothing. Original 2.25 liter petrol 4. Polished and ported head. Strong performer. This 88 will do 65mph and still has some throttle left. Excellent chassis. Solid footwells and all outriggers. Solid rear cross-member. Original SIIA gearbox in excellent shape. New parabolic springs. 16 inch wheels with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A’s. Analog voltmeter and oil pressure gauges added. Modern seat belts added. Stereo/CD player with speakers added. Modern alternator conversion done. Modern oil filter and modern air filter. I have the original parts to change back to oil bath filter etc. if you want to make this into a concourse vehicle. All work very nicely done. Manual locking hubs on front axles. Includes a terrific hard-top with the rare swing-up lift gate (allows you to keep fold-down tailgate in place with the hardtop). I will sell the truck without the hardtop if you are interested, since these hardtops bring a nice price on their own. Everything on this truck works. It is ready to go. So why am I selling it? This one is done and the next project needs to move in (I like fixing them up more than keeping them). Note that this vehicle is for sale locally in Tallahassee, Florida, USA, and I reserve the right to withdraw this ebay listing at any time.

1973 Land Rover Santana 88, Series IIAActual VIN: E50313844 Relisted due to non-paying buyer. Recently imported from Oliva, Spain. 86,945 original miles. Fresh Bronze Green paint with Alaska White roof and wheels over excellent black vinyl. This 1973 model has the rare "four eye" nose, with the traditional Series IIA (inboard) headlamps and also the factory-retrofitted later Series III (outboard) headlamps. This was a "quick fix" to satisfy changing European headlamp laws for 1973, and it's rare to find one that has not been subsequently converted to either SIIA or SIII lamps only. It also benefits from some light Series III upgrades, including door hinges and wiper motors. Cosmetically and mechanically freshened throughout. Entirely rust free with correct black painted chassis. New tires and tubes. All lights and gauges work as they should, and it has passed both the stringent Spanish national safety inspection and the Virginia State safety inspection within the past six months. The tried and true 2.25L Land Rover diesel starts easily with just a puff of smoke and does not smoke at idle or underway. Transmission and transfer case shift perfectly and clutch and brakes are strong with no noise or other issues. A wonderful Land Rover in excellent condition throughout, which is ready to be used daily without issue. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are Valencia Classic Vehicles, an established importer of classic cars and trucks from Europe. 1965 Land Rover Series IIA Factory P/U This is a great opportunity to own an extremely rare, Series IIA 88 Land Rover Factory Pick-up, with the short, 88” wheelbase. This Land Rover started life as an emissions test vehicle for the Rover Company in the mid 60’s. It was stored for 35 years when I purchased it from the original owner. He worked for the Rover Company (now Land Rover) and performed emission, and cold start testing in Michigan on this vehicle. This vehicle has been carefully “restored” to excellent running order without sacrificing its patina and charm for an off road vehicle of this era (check out the vintage “Dymo-mite” label still on the dash “Emission Test vehicle no. 9”). It also comes with 3 license plates, the English plates, the original Michigan plates, and the current (with current registration) California plates. All of the parts on this pick up have been replaced with Genuine Land Rover parts. Here is the list: · new battery · rebuilt carburetor · new fuel hoses and filter · rebuilt starter · new plugs · plug wires · cap · rotor · condenser · points · insulator · New brakes..... · brake/clutch fluid reservoir · master cylinder · wheel cylinders · shoes and springs · flex hoses · hard pipe · New clutch kit complete.... · pressure plate · disc · throw-out bearing · pilot bearing · push rod · resurfaced flywheel · Rebuilt transmission · New synchro assembly · new clutch master cylinder · slave cylinder · Complete flush of all fluids... · engine oil and filter · differentials · gear box · drain and flush radiator · thermostat · all new hoses · new fuel tank, sending unit, hose and clamps · 5 brand new tires (BF Goodrich all-terrains) · new exhaust system (complete) · new shock absorbers ***The aluminum body is in good condition as you can see in the photos. There is some rust on the chassis (mostly surface). The “chassis rear quarter” is heavily rusted in some areas and is easily replaceable, the part is available here: http://www.roverparts.com/parts/7202

1965 Land Rover Series IIa!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1965 Land Rover Series IIa that is in excellent condition and has been restored to perfection by Himalaya4x4.com!!!! Check out there website www.himalaya4x4.com and look at what incredible craftsmen these guys are, what they do is truly an art form. This gorgeous Land Rover features one of the nicest restorations I have seen with cost of restoration well into the 6 figures (A new one costs about $175k+). This beautiful Land Rover was actually appraised at $165,000. This Rover has had a no expense restoration with upgrades along the such as a brand new 350 horsepower crate engine, late model Land Rover Power Steering, 4 wheel Disc brakes, aluminum radiator, custom stereo and an absolutely beautiful paint job on an aluminum body!!! This Rover has been the subject of a complete frame off rotisserie restoration. The Rover has been gone through from tip to tale and from top to bottom with every single component being replaced, restored or upgraded. One look at this car and you will realize that this Land Rover is not like any Land Rover in the world. This is something special and the truck just has that great crisp look to it, with its beautiful paint job, great stance, gorgeous interior and tons of tasteful upgrades. Again, this has been appraised at $165,000 which can be supplied to any perspective buyer. This truck, to my knowledge, was built for a Hollywood movie producer who commissioned the no expense spared restoration. The car has been driven since completion and the car drives excellent and is very reliable. This is a rust free classic Land Rover and it is even nicer in person than it is in the pictures. This car has been very well cared for and it shows. This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years!!! One of the finest Land Rover Series IIa in the world and an incredible build by himalaya4x4.com! There are at least 200 hi quality pictures of this Rover in this ad. Please let the ad load in its entirety before scrolling down. It may take a moment. Also, please do not hesitate to call me with any questions. 98% of my cars listed for sale will sell before the "end date" listed on eBay. This vehicle is a Buy it Now or Best Offer listing and can be purchased at anytime. Click to enlarge Exterior: This Land Rover looks fantastic in its classic light green paint job with contrasting matching wheels and freshly regalvanzied trim. The paint job on this truck was completed to an incredibly high standard and looks excellent. The car was completely disassembled, hood, trunk, doors, glass, trim etc.. was all removed and painted separately. Even the bottom side of the body car was stripped down and repainted as well. This was a full body off rotisserie restoration where even the bottom side of the floor pans were painted exterior color. This truck truly has an immaculate body and paint finish. The body is LASER straight and looks beautiful and has all of the proper riveted aluminum bodywork. The paint has a very "deep" look and has a great shine since it was a Base coat/Clear coat paint job. When the car was painted, it was done properly. All of the rubber seals were replaced after the car was painted and are all in great condition. Many many many man hours were spend getting the doors and panels perfectly aligned and working with amazing precision. The paint job on this car alone exceeds the cost of many classic Land Rovers. This is a car that you could bring to a local car show and show it with pride, or you could go on great weekend drives in. Overall the exterior is in excellent shape. Click to enlarge Interior: The classic Black interior of this Rover is like new and in excellent condition. The front and rear seats are like new and in excellent shape. They are free of stains, rips and tears. When the seats were reupholstered all of the foam was replaced as well. The carpet is like new and in excellent shape. The dash is in perfect condition and is free of cracks etc... In-fact all of the dash pieces have been replaced and are brand new. Every courtesy light, every gauge etc... are all in great working order. If you take a look at the seats you will see that they have been slightly modified with slightly larger bolstering to help hold you in the seats while cornering while still preserving the the classic look of the Rover interior. There is a Ipod hookup in the center console and there is a great sounding stereo installed complete with subwoofers. This really is the ultimate Series IIa. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful and is a great place to waste the weekend away. Click to enlarge Engine: The 350 hp V8 fires right up and runs like a top. This engine has been completely rebuilt and detailed to a showroom like finish. The engine runs beautifully. It always starts and runs excellent just like a modern car. This engine has had lots of money poured into it and the car and the car runs GREAT!!! The engine is estimated in excess of 350hp which is plenty powerful for a truck of this size. The engine bay was sandblasted and refinished to a high standard. The cars transmission was rebuilt at the same time and shifts beautifully. The transmission has been built to handle the extra power of the engine as well. The transmission shifts perfectly and is very responsive and smooth. This car features power 4 wheel wheel disc brakes which stops the car very well. Best of all there is no side to side pull while under braking since the car doesn't have drum brakes. The car also feature a dual circuit master cylinder to aid in safety as well. The power steering really makes this Rover easy to drive and much more comfortable to drive daily. The engine sounds great with its exhaust exiting under the rear valance. The car runs nice and cool even in Arizona's hot and dry climate and features an aluminum radiator. The car steers beautifully with its power steering and the car tracks perfectly down the road. The suspension has been completely gone through as well. All rebuilt and all new components. The bottom side of this truck is as well finished as the top side. I can not stress enough at how every inch of this car has been gone through and virtually every component rebuilt or replaced. This car has been appraised at $165,000!!!!! This truck really is a blast to drive!!! Click to enlarge Classic Land Rovers are getting more and more desireable and collectable. Trucks that are this nice are even difficult to find! Most have just been slapped together to look nice on ebay. Lots of love, attention to detail and money (almost 200k) have been poured into this car. As a result, this car looks and drives beautifully. This is not just another Series IIa this is something special, this Land Rover is sure to make its new owner happy. These classic trucks are getting more and more collectible and as a result they are becoming investment grade. The beauty of this investment is that you get to DRIVE and enjoy your investment instead of asking your stock broker about how your investment is doing. This car earns lots of thumbs up every where you go and is a pleasure to drive. It would make a great daily driver or a weekend show piece. I can help arrange shipping anywhere in the world and international buyers are welcome to enjoy this great 1965 Land Rover Series IIa!!! SERIES LAND ROVER RECENTLY HAVE BROUGHT UPWARDS OF $35,000 TO $60,000. THIS IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF A 1961 SERIES IIIA RHD LAND ROVER. THE BODIES OF THESE ROVERS ARE ALL ALUMINUM AND THE CHASIS ARE STEEL. I’VE DECIDED TO PUT UP FOR SALE MY LAND ROVER THAT I BOUGHT HERE IN KENTUCKY A YEAR AGO. ITS BEEN MY “GO TO” TRUCK TO DRIVE FOR THIS LAST YEAR. ITS JUST A CAREFREE TRUCK AND THE MOTOR RUNS GREAT. IT HAS DRIPS OF OIL EVERY NOW AND AGAIN …..WHICH THEY ALL HAVE. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS AS IT SHOULD. THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WORKS HIGH AND LOW. THE EXTERIOR IS JUST THE WAY ITS BEEN FOR A GOOD MANY YEARS. IN THE STILL PICTURES I’VE SHOWN YOU SOME OF THE FLAWS IN THE PAINT AND BODY. THE PAINT HAS A FEW BLEMISHES AROUND BUT NOTHING TO MAJOR. IT GIVES THE TRUCK CHARACTER IT COMES WITH A FULL HARD TOP, BUT YOU COULD PURCHASE A SOFT TOP FOR IT. IT ACHIEVES SPEEDS OF 50-55 MPH. IT HAS DECENT TIRES. THE PASSENGER WINDSCREEN WIPER IS NOT WORKING. THE ODOMETER IS CURRENTLY NOT WORKING, HOWEVER IT WAS WORKING WHEN I PURCHASE THE VEHICLE A YEAR AGO SO THE MILEAGE SHOULD BE CLOSE. IT DOES HAVE A SMITHS ROUND HEATER. PARTS I HAVE BUT ARE NOT CURRENTLY INSTALLED (THESE ITEMS GO WITH THE ROVER)...I DO HAVE THE DUCTWORK AND DEFROST PANS FOR THE HEATER. I ALSO HAVE 4 REAR LAP-BELTS AND THE CENTER FRONT LAP-BELT. ON INSPECTION, WHEN I BOUGHT IT, I DID FIND A FEW RUST ISSUES. SEE PICTURES......NOTHING TO MAJOR. I'M SURE MANY OF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE QUESTIONS. PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I REMIND YOU, THIS 54 YEAR OLD TECHNOLOGY WILL REQUIRE MAINTENANCE AND TWEAKING. DON'T EXPECT TO HAVE A MAINTENANCE FREE "NEW CAR" EXPERIENCE ...AND WORKING ON THESE OLD CLASSICS IS HALF THE FUN. THANKS FOR LOOKING! IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WOULD LIKE A MORE IN-DEPTH DESCRIPTION PLEASE EMAIL ME. THIS IS A GREAT VEHICLE THAT I WOULD DRIVE ANYWHERE.A $1000.00 DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER CLOSE OF AUCTION PLEASE NOTE!
