I have a 1972 Gmc Jimmy 2wd 1 of 117 made in 1972. Truck is mostly original orange paint. It has rust in rockers, floors, lower doors, rear quarters. Truck doesn't have rust under cowl panel(see pics) windshield post looks good, front cowl looks good. Truck is RARE and any part needed can be bought from LMC trucks. Truck has an v8 3 speed in it. It ran 5 years ago(haven't tried to get running). A lot of people put a k5 front end on truck to make it look like a blazer. These true 2wd jimmy/k5's are impossible to find in any shape. Truck will come with a black top that is in better shape then the white one in pictures. Truck has a pair of front seats and console. I can help arrange shipping anywhere in cont US. Fortunately, great trucks like this 1985 GMC Jimmy still exist, providing that awesome blend of practicality and style that no other 4x4 can deliver. The tan paint job isn't going to get you a lot of attention, but on the other hand, it gives the Jimmy a clean, uncluttered look that won't get dated. With a truck that you're going to keep for a long time, that's important. And it's in excellent shape, showing signs of careful maintenance over the years and looking pretty much the way it might have in, say, 1988 when it was just a few years old. The doors fit and sound the way you remember and the color-matched fiberglass top gives it an all-of-a-piece look. There are no signs of abuse or accidents in the way it looks and details like the big chrome bumpers, diamond plate running boards, and oversized side mirrors remind us that this is a truck that doesn't mind being a truck, not a wimpy "crossover." The GMC brand hadn't started their upmarket march in 1985, but things like the brushed stainless tailgate insert and bright side trim mean that this isn't a base model, either. The tan cloth interior is shockingly well preserved. Twin buckets up front show minimal wear and are comfortable enough for all-day drives. A functional center console gives you cup holders and a place to store odds and ends and the wrap-around instrument panel will look familiar to anyone who drove a GM truck in the '80s. The gauges are still bright and this Jimmy came loaded with options, including power windows and locks, a tilt steering column, and air conditioning. Somewhere along the line, the original radio was dumped in favor of a digital AM/FM/cassette tuner, and maybe you'd be ready to upgrade it once again when you get this truck home. Back seat space is massive, with a plush bench seat that's perfect for two but will hold three in a pinch. Full carpets with durable rubber mats mean you don't have to worry too much about getting things dirty and the cargo bay, even with the spare tire in there, is truly massive. If you're going somewhere and taking a lot of stuff, the Jimmy is what you need. The engine is a robust 350 cubic inch V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor, denoted by the 'L' in the 8th slot of the VIN. Yes, carburetors were still doing their thing in 1985, which also makes engines like this extremely easy to upgrade. Fortunately, this one appears to be almost completely stock, from the air cleaner to the exhaust manifolds, although a snarky-sounding Flowmaster muffler has been added for effect. The engine bay is shockingly clean, with mostly OEM parts visible throughout and service access is awesome. The A/C has been upgraded to R134a refrigerant, which makes it easier to service in the future and still quite effective. The automatic transmission is linked to a familiar 2-speed transfer case and heavy-duty axles with automatic locking front hubs, so getting out of trouble is easy. It's clean and tidy underneath, with signs of careful maintenance, including a new high-flow catalytic converter for emissions legality. And the original Rally wheels are now wrapped with right-sized Uniroyal radials. You remember these trucks fondly and there still aren't alternatives that can keep up. This one is in great shape and quite reasonably priced. The more mainstream Chevy front end is all part of the incognito image that this pickup uses to lure unsuspecting muscle cars at every stoplight. At first glance people might just see a nice clean truck whose cherry red paint and five-star Pacer wheels says the owner is someone who cares about his vehicle. But anyone who takes a closer look will start to get the sneaking suspicion that there is something much more to this GMC. These subtle giveaways are in the details, like the shaved door handles with remote door poppers, and the crystal clear lenses all the way around. Just in case you don't want to secretly lurk in the night, flip a switch, and you have custom LED lighting for inside the bed, wheel wells, as well as underneath the truck. You even get a second prostock hood to swap out anytime you want to hit the dragstrip. The interior instantly gives away this truck's wild side. The vinyl bucket seats have been given a custom cover to match the exterior, and in between those chairs appears to be enough toggle switches to launch this pickup to the moon. The driver gets a B&M performance shifter for the automatic transmission, a spare set of tri-gauges, and a huge Autogauge shift light center tachometer for those times you want to expertly bang your own way through the gears (starting to see the big performance trend here?) Everyone can enjoy heat/defrost and an AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo, but this pickup is really about rolling the windows down and listening to the monster exhaust. This S15 might look like a sleeper but it's hard to hide the mighty sound it makes. Underneath the hood is a small block V8 that's a big block's worst nightmare. It starts with a performance air cleaner, a big Edelbrock 750 cfm 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and MSD ignition. This feeds a 383 cubic-inch stroker motor, and all the upgrades to this crate engine has the little GMC producing around 540 hp. Just to make sure all this force can hook up on any blacktop, the truck has a stout 10-bolt Positraction rear end running 3.32 gears. The rear has also been beefed up with traction bars. Of course you've probably already noticed the last major piece to this grip puzzle. The Nitto Extreme Drag tires live up to their name by sticking to the ground like super glue, and yet they still have enough tread to be street legal. In fact, that's the perfect way to look at this pickup. It's an extreme drag machine, but it still has features like power steering, power brakes with discs up front, and an automatic transmission. That means you don't have to just trailer this one to the strip, and instead you can easily spend your Saturday nights cruising the streets for prey. 1981 GMC JIMMY Sierra Classic, 350ci GM Crate, Automatic, 4x4, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows Beautiful Rust Free Arizona Truck...Fresh Restoration! Here is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1981 GMC Jimmy in very beautiful condition inside and out. This GMC is sporting the classic two-tone red and white paint scheme. This is one of the neatest GMC's I have ever seen and has been nicely redone. It has never been in salted environments and has been beautifully preserved! From what I was told the truck came down here around 1983 with snowbird Canadians, hence thats why it has a Kilometers speedometer. Odometer has rolled over once putting it at 170,000km which is just over 100k miles on original chassis. The GM Crate 350 is only a few years old and runs like a top. Much more juice than the original low horsepower 305ci that this truck originally was delivered with! The truck has been inspected bottom to top an I will put a money back Rust Free assurance on this rig! The following is a list of options as this Jimmy is currently equipped: -GM Goodwrench Crate 350ci 5.7L V8 -4 Speed Automatic Transmission -Four Wheel Drive -Cruise Control -New Radio -OEM 15" Factory Wheels w/ Beauty Rings -Deluxe Cloth Interior -Updated Sound System The body on the Jimmy is totally solid and rust free.The paint on the truck has been freshly redone and is gorgeous in its two-tone scheme. The rubber seals are all in very nice shape and the truck seals up perfect. The chrome and trim is original on the truck and is overall very good condition for being original. This GMC looks awesome with newer Dunlop Mud Rover 31" tires were mounted up on the 15" chrome wheels and really add the right look to round off the beautiful stance of this K5. The OEM side emblems were just installed and the orange in the emblems nicely compliments the orange pin stripe all the way around the truck. All new side molding and new outside mirrors finish off the restoration. The interior is in great shape all around. The burgundy cloth seats are all in very good shape and look great. The headliner and fabric look excellent. All dials and controls function as they should and are illuminated at night. The dashboard is in excellent shape thanks to the brand new cap that was professionally installed. New carpet is excellent with no rips and minimal ware. All door panels and trim are excellent. The new speakers sound great but the head unit has been replaced with a new high end 2 post component. Mechanically, this Jimmy runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts quite easily. The 5.7L engine has been fully tuned up with oil change and runs like a top! The 4x4 system functions perfectly. The engine compartment was fully detailed and cleaned. It is ALL ORIGINAL under the hood, and I didn't want to take away from the originality by doing any painting or unnecessary upgrades. The Jimmy is tight as a drum and doesn't leak a drop of anything. The truck has been well maintained and it really shows both under the hood, and in the way the truck handles and drives. All new Rancho shocks have been installed and a nice sounding dual exhaust is also in place. All in all, this is one of the cleanest and most beautiful GMC's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. It is, however, very nice. This is a 1988 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic 4x4. It is the 2 door full size Sport Utility. This Jimmy came out of Nevada. The CARFAX shows that it is a 1-OWNER, with no accidents ever reported. It does have the 350 (5.7L V8) and Automatic Transmission. This Jimmy is Red with the White Top, and Red Interior. It does have Tilt Steering. That's about it on options. It has a great ALPINE AM/FM/CD Stereo with Ipod Hookup. It is sitting on a new set of Ground Hawg Tires. The odometer reads just over 76K, but from the Carfax we can tell that this is a 177K mile Jimmy. It still runs strong, no knocking or ticking in the engine. No smoke after startup. Transmission shifts firm and smooth. The interior is clean, but there are a few places where some of the trim needs replaced or repaired. Nothing bad, just wanting to disclose what we see. I would view this as a driver. It could be fixed up or tricked out, but this is all original. It has been driven and it still drives out very nicely. 4WD engages and seems to work properly. I usually don't rate vehicles on a number system, but to give you a snapshot of this one up close I would say: Exterior 6 out of 10. Interior 7 out of 10.
