1957 GMC 100, 1/2 ton with rare factory Pontiac V8 347ci engine. One year only grille. 4 speed manual transmission, step side box. Looks to be in its original factory paint, panama cream and seminole brown (burgundy), which was written on firewall when new. Truck runs, drives, shifts thru all 4 gears and reverse and stops. New gas tank and sender, new starter, new battery tray, rebuilt carb and master cylinder. Park lamps, headlights, taillights and brake lights work. Glass is gone. (All new glass is only $300 locally & online from Auto City Classic.) Built in CA and came from out west, still has CA black plates from '68. Pretty solid other than typical rust on cab corners and bottom front fenders. Has some dents and dings from being an almost 60 year old original farm truck. Nice truck to shoot clear on for that original patina look. Clear title in my name. Come look at truck and drive it around the yard. Not many of these factory V8 GMC 1/2 tons around. For sale locally, may end listing early. 9 photos posted. Email me if need more pics or I can give you my number or send yours if want to discuss truck. Thank you. 1955 1956 1958 1959 Chevy truck pickup 3100

Best of all, this 1951 GMC 100 is a road-ready driver. Take a real close look at this one. It has great two-tone turquoise and white color combination, and there's even some hints of chrome on the bumpers, on the big G-M-C above the grille, and surrounding the headlights. It has an overall appearance that looks bright from across traffic, and once you get close you can see the paint looks very period correct. Now look at the truck bed. That wood has been perfectly worn from many hard days of work. See how this truck tells a story? You might have spent a full day in your office, but the moment you come home and go for a pleasure cruise in this pickup, everyone will assume you've just put in some serious manual labor. This truck creates an instant narrative that is perfect for everything from attracting car show judges, to even adding some history to your business. The interior is still working class all the way, but that's all part of the vintage truck appeal. The brown vinyl on the bench seat and door panels adds a hint of sophistication to go with this truck's industrial toughness. A rubber floor ma,t and other easy to clean materials, make maintenance a snap. The factory heater was a nice luxury to warm you on your way home from the job decades ago, and now it's just a nice original piece to show off to your friends. There's even the original style radio to show off, which would have made this GMC downright deluxe 64 years ago. One of the reasons why you wanted a GMC in 1951 is because their inline-six was even more powerful than the Loadmaster unit from Chevy. That makes for an interesting conversation piece when you lift the hood and see this pickup's period-correct 228 cubic-inch motor. This orange block looks great in the engine bay, especially next to the oil bath air cleaner. As expected, this kind of classic engine has a fantastic old truck exhaust note that chugs along like a freight train. For that added touch of period-correct fun, the motor is mated to a three-speed column shift manual transmission. This GMC looks slightly different than its Chevy cousin, and is rarer. Now all you need to do is decide if this is your perfect turnkey workman ride, or your next great upgrade-able restoration (or both!!!!) We work very hard to present the cleanest, freshest and most presentable pre-owned vehicles sold anywhere. Most of our offerings are equal to first line vehicles sold in reputable franchised dealerships across the country. In fact, many of these dealers buy our inventory only to turn around and sell it at much higher prices on their lots. It is important when buying a used vehicle to understand that it is not brand new, but that it has been driven a certain number of miles. Our vehicles will be presented with good tires unless stated otherwise. Please be reasonable in your expectations. We sell many pre-owned vehicles monthly to happy people - many of whom will call or write us back with their satisfaction: "exceeded expectations", "better than described", etc. We want to sell you one of our quality vehicles with a clear understanding of what to expect for what you are paying for. We do not sell brand new vehicles, but indisputably we sell some of the very finest pre-owned vehicles anywhere. Vehicle Expectations Have you ever wondered: "What should I really expect when buying a previously owned vehicle?" That question is probably one of the most frequently thought of things that come to mind when someone decides to purchase a pre-owned vehicle. We would like to dispel some assumptions and define more clearly what you should expect when buying a pre-owned vehicle. People buy used vehicles because of the tremendous savings over what new vehicles cost. A vehicle that is several years old can often cost half what a new one does! Also, buying a pre-owned car allows one to avoid the depreciation SLIDE of buying a new car often with "new car" warranty still remaining. Warranties can always be purchased second hand if the original warranty has already expired. Pre-owned vehicles are not the same as brand new ones in every measure. Even brand new cars can receive a small mark, ding or scrape during the first few days of ownership. Tiny surface scratches can appear from small pebbles, stones, gravel, bugs or foreign objects on even the smallest roadways which can mark finishes and windshields. A vehicle that has a certain number of years or miles on it should be expected to have "reasonable wear and tear" on components, mechanical parts, paint, upholstery and trim. If a vehicle has over 5,000-6,000 miles, you should expect a few small stone chips on paint, bumpers or glass. If it has 50,000 or more miles, you should expect a fair amount of "peppering" from sand and gravel resulting from highway travel. If we are presenting a current year model vehicle with only 2,000 or 3,000 miles, you should expect a vehicle in like new condition, free of any marks, dings or scratches. And likely still having that "new car smell" we all know so well. Reasonable Wear and Tear Reasonable wear should include suspension and mechanical items such as brakes, tires, axles, shocks and seals and gaskets as well. A vehicle that is nearly new or still under manufacturers warranty should be expected to be free of any defects or leaks. If a vehicle is 4 or 5 years old, out of warranty or has around 30,000 miles, one should expect seepage at hoses, seals, gearboxes and gaskets. Seeps are considered a normal part of aging and reasonable wear. Seeps are not the same as leaks. A leak is where fluid is running down and hitting the floor. Beyond that, your expectations should decrease according to age and mileage. Pre-buy inspections are always welcome by reputable service centers. We are happy to make recommendations of local, independent area shops [not affiliated with us in any way] to allow you to have the confidence you need when purchasing a used vehicle. Please keep in mind that an Authorized [Factory Franchised] Dealership will inspect and make the most detailed inspections, but will also be extremely critical and often detail every single thing that it would take to make a vehicle "brand new" again (generally in an effort to run up maintenance and repair costs beyond any reasonable expectation). Their job is to sell service - not always taking into account reasonable wear and age for a given vehicle. The costs that they detail will also often be 2x to 4x what the repairs or maintenance would cost if performed by an excellent outside service facility. We work very hard to present the cleanest, freshest and most presentable pre-owned vehicles sold anywhere. Most of our offerings are equal to first line vehicles sold in reputable franchised dealerships across the country. In fact, many of these dealers buy our inventory only to turn around and sell it at much higher prices on their lots. Our vehicles will be presented with good tires unless stated otherwise. Please be reasonable in your expectations. This is my 1957 frame off restoration 100 series, big back window, long bed pick up truck up for auction. This truck is has been restored to 100% original condition. Every nut and bolt has been removed from the frame, restored, painted and installed back on the truck. All paper work, pictures and receipts are documented on the 57. The color of the truck is Brewster Green with Ivory white two-tone. I did install white wall radial tires for drivability with a new bias-ply spare under the truck. There is over well over 50,000 dollars invested in this tuck and will not disappoint, I guarantee it!! The Transmission is a 3-speed on the column and the motor is the original, numbers matching 347 v-8 that is an option only in 1957 gmc truck. It has a full long bed with wood floor that has been stained to replicate the original color that an old truck would come off the lot with. The drive train is completely rebuilt with new parts or replaced with brand new parts. The transmission, axles, rear end and drive shafts are all machined and new. This truck is completely brand new off the show room floor. It drives better than it looks and this truck LOOKS perfect! I have a million more pictures from bare frame to finish product so email me for more info if you need it. I know what the truck is worth and please do not bid unless you are very serious about owning one of the nicest rebuilds that you will see. Thank you for viewing and bidding on my truck. Good luck!!

I believe it to still be wearing its original sheet metal, the chrome is in good shape as well as the wood in the bed. As near as I can tell this truck may have been restored in the early 80's (based on some documentation that I have found). The paint appears to be original but has been touched up in a couple of places. The engine has the Offenhauser intake along with dual carbs, engine starts right up & runs strong, transmission shifts well & clutch functions perfectly. Truck steers & drives well on its new radial tires, brakes function properly, the interior is in excellent shape, glass is good as well. Truck has been upgraded from a 6 volt to a 12 volt system.Overall this is a very nice truck, these old GMC (5) window's are hard to come by (they didn't make near as many as the Chevy's). This is a good driver quality & would make an excellent candidate for a high end restoration, this truck gets compliments everywhere it goes. I have a very reasonable reserve on this truck & I will help in anyway I can regarding shipping (all shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer). I have the truck for sale locally & reserve the right to end the auction early. I will require a $1000.00 deposit within 24 hours of the winning bid & the remaining balance of the sale price within 72 hours of the winning bid. Please have your finances in order PRIOR to placing a bid. I can be reached at 406-876-1721, thanks.
