The body panels fit great and once completed with an interior it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell it use to be a coupe from the outside! We can build them better than factory because we use stronger bracing and more welds. For the conversions we use all new metal, roof, filler panel, full quarter panels, tail light panel, trap door housing and all the rear interior panels brackets. Ford estimated the life expectancy was 7 years and 40 years later these cars are on the road with rust and metal fatigue. People build them with excess of 400 horsepower and the cars were never built to withstand the abuse. The cars need extra supports so they will last longer. Most builders do nothing more than add sub frame supports thinking that is all they need. We can offer more so it helps preventing the body from flexing. Since we build so many Mustangs we see the same issues in the same areas. These are problem areas that must be fixed or the problems get worse with age. This is a restomod project 98% done, and ready to finish up, and you'll have a 20k car.I've never seen such a solid, clean, and rust-free 60s mustang. Arizona car, and I can't find any bondo, holes or bubbles! This one was originally a true V8 4v model- way more desirable than the l6 models. The 67 mustangs have a tougher look to them and wider stance than the earlier ones. Due to financial need, must sell quick.Story: When a family health emergency came up, it sat this past year and never got finished up. It was at the point of needing the reset of control unit/security so it would fire, and then just some things put back together and alignment finished up. You can finish up the new build, or go back old school with the mechanics, or a combination of both (The original good wiring harness comes with it, and many misc. parts). This was being built for a daughter to be a reliable safe driver with a modern performance and comforts: drive train, 4 wheel disc brakes, power steering, air conditoning, etc. The donor drive train, rear end, steering, etc. is all from a 2000 mustang, fuel injected v6. The concept was that it would be good on fuel, be a nice modern lightweight engine with some zip to it. It's the nice T5 5 speed manual transmission (can interchange with bigger motors too), all in great shape with clean fluids and full power. Because of the electric controls, it is not running, but it drove up in perfect running and operating condition to the shop before the swap. It has rack and pinion power steering, The AC was disconnected of course, but it was working great, so the lines will need reconnected, maybe remade hoses to reach the interior, and charged up. I'm not a mechanic, so I'll describe all I can here: BODY: Amazingly straight and solid. No accidents or cover-ups. I took a little magnet to the entire sides and lower areas of the body and it stuck to metal everywhere! metallic blue-silver paint is a great color - the job is not show quality, but more of a 5 footer daily driver level, with extra half gallon base coat extra. Solid floors, no rust holes in the normal rocker areas, just solid and clean throughout. Glass is all good with no cracks, the windows work, and even the rear quarter windows work smoothly! Doors work nicely and close tight. Drivers door has no play in it at all! All locks work with matching keysInterior: Nice black theme- rear seat and door panels are the original style black theme in great shape, and the front seats are newer Ford rally seats which are really nice, with a black and grey theme. The passenger seat needs bolted in still. Nice new carpet. modern seat belts. Some things need installed/finished up inside. Mechanics: New brake components with the four wheel disc brakes working currently. It has 2010 Ford alloy wheels which are nice and wide, with very nice new tires. Goodyear Eagle LS2, 235-50-R18. The front steering still needs finished up- aligned and dialed in, and the steering wheel column reconnected inside. The motor has no leaks and a newer clutch. It cranks with direct power, but not from the key at this point. This nice 5 speed transmission will accept different size Ford motors, so you could go bigger easily, it is rated for 300 horsepower stock. Clean and strong rear end differential from the newer car- no leaks there either. New gas tank; the modern fuel pump is installed and working; nice big battery cable going to the trunk for the battery to be back there on a nice mounting plate. Newer exhaust, see picts. There are many extra parts included, such as many original dash area components, including an original air conditioning fan unit for under the dash. The remaining work will be: finishing the wiring or electronic issue (security reset is probably all it needs). or you could bypass all that by putting an intake and carburetor on the motor instead. They sell a universal intake either for 4 barrel or 2 barrel carbs, and you can put a holley or edelbrock on it. There are a couple extra different control boxes included, in case one is defective. Steering wheel is currently pulled from the good oem ujoint support assembly (installed) for easy access to the control box and harness plugs. You'd then decide either to keep the modern dash/gauges and work those in, or go back to the original style in the original bezel (included). Most of the original interior and dash components are included, including the fan blower unit (and the modern one), The dash area is all disassembled and the new column is roughed in and ready to do final assembly. Included also is the title to the donor drivetrain in case you need the vin or whatever. Don't forget, this is an amazing condition mustang- not far from being an amazing restomod. Don't forget the air conditioning and 4 wheel power disc brakes. If you'd like more pictures or something, let me know but be specific. To grab it early, just use the buy it now. 1967 Mustang Fastback Vin 7R02C105XXX Factory Fastback vin code 02 Black beauty! Nice paint! Paint is very presentable with a high gloss and very nice straight stripes. No fuzzyness in the lines. Has new front and rear bumpers. New chrome hood molding New "Mustang" Letters, New trunk and quarter panel end molding. New FULL quarter panels, doors and fenders. No damage, nice floors and dash. The car will need finishing. I decided not to finish the car because I bought another that is complete. This has an automatic transmission that is in the car. I dont know what it is or the condition. It still has the automatic shifter inside the car. The gas tank looks new and the GT gas cap is new. I dont know if its a real GT. The previous owner put on new quarters that fit right, new fenders and a new hood. It was planned to be a Shelby or Eleanor car but he ran short of money. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SPENT OVER $30,000 TO GET IT TO THIS STAGE. It has a new grill and grill surround and a new hood. Both door handles and mirrors are new. The suspension looks to be original so it needs to be updated. I have not had the wheels off but I think they are drum brakes, floors and under car looks good. On the inside there are 2 seats that need to be redone. What you see is all you get so the interior needs completed. I have the some of the rear interior fiberglass parts. It has 329 actual, original miles. It is perfect, as to be expected for the collector mileage. It is quote unquote in the wrapper, as all the plastic on the interior pieces is still on the car, and the books and key fobs have not been unwrapped either. With only 1000 of these made, this is a great car to add to any Shelby collection.Below is the info on the KR model, credits to Car and Driver magazine: In 1967, the New York auto show played host to the launch of the original GT500KR, a version of the Shelby Mustang powered by a 428-cubic-inch Cobra Jet V-8 rated at 335 horsepower. With the '08 model's supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 underhood wearing a Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pack (revised ignition timing and throttle calibration, plus a cold-air intake), the 2008 KR outdoes its predecessor by 205 horsepower—a margin greater than the entire output of some V-8 Mustangs of the 1980s—with 540. That herd travels rearward through a six-speed manual with a short-throw shifter to a shorter 3.73:1 rear end (stock is 3.31:1) for quicker giddyap, while snorts and whinnies get an extra edge from a revised exhaust system.The King knows that some of its subjects wind and dip, so the GT500KR gets a unique Ford Racing suspension tune. "The production Shelby GT500 was maximized to deliver the perfect balance between ride and handling," says Jamal Hameedi, chief nameplate engineer, Ford SVT. "In that same ride-versus-handling continuum, the KR will lean heavier toward all-out handling while still making it drivable on the street."Beyond the yawning hood vents and racing stripes already in place on lesser GT500s, the GT500KR gets the signature hood, reminiscent of the original KR, in carbon fiber with two forward-looking mail slots at the leading edge of the hood feeding the blown 5.4's appetite for air and twist-down hood pins for a more secure racer flair. The stick-through pins on the Shelby GT we tested recently actually vibrated out of their posts on rough roads. The Cobra badges in the grille and on the fenders add wings proclaiming them as the badges of not just any Shelby Mustang but the 40th-anniversary GT500KR. Rocker stripes on the Shelby mimic those on the original car, right down to the typeface used for the lettering.The Triton engine uses four valves per cylinder (versus three in the iron-block truck version) and the cylinder heads from the Ford GT, which has an aluminum block. This is one of those rare cars that has only been driven 2034MI since its purchase back in 2008 by it current owner. The car is fully loaded and presents like new. Please call us for more info. Here is what car and driver wrote in 2008. "With the successful launch of the Shelby GT behind it and retiree GT-H Hertz rental Mustangs selling as high as $90,000 at auction, the Shelby leviathan continues to chug forward and spew forth special-edition Mustangs. In New York, Shelby launches the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR, a special-edition GT500 commemorating the 40th anniversary of the original "King of the Road." The GT500KR is the second product after the GT500 to wear the almost-defunct SVT badge, reminding us that Ford still claims it has a performance division. In 1967, the New York auto show played host to the launch of the original GT500KR, a version of the Shelby Mustang powered by a 428-cubic-inch Cobra Jet V-8 rated at 335 horsepower. With the '08 model's supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 underhood wearing a Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pack (revised ignition timing and throttle calibration, plus a cold-air intake), the 2008 KR outdoes its predecessor by 205 horsepower a margin greater than the entire output of some V-8 Mustangs of the 1980s with 540. That herd travels rearward through a six-speed manual with a short-throw shifter to a shorter 3.73:1 rear end (stock is 3.31:1) for quicker giddyap, while snorts and whinnies get an extra edge from a revised exhaust system. The King knows that some of its subjects wind and dip, so the GT500KR gets a unique Ford Racing suspension tune. "The production Shelby GT500 was maximized to deliver the perfect balance between ride and handling," says Jamal Hameedi, chief nameplate engineer, Ford SVT. "In that same ride-versus-handling continuum, the KR will lean heavier toward all-out handling while still making it drivable on the street." Beyond the yawning hood vents and racing stripes already in place on lesser GT500s, the GT500KR gets the signature hood, reminiscent of the original KR, in carbon fiber with two forward-looking mail slots at the leading edge of the hood feeding the blown 5.4's appetite for air and twist-down hood pins for a more secure racer flair. The stick-through pins on the Shelby GT we tested recently actually vibrated out of their posts on rough roads. The Cobra badges in the grille and on the fenders add wings proclaiming them as the badges of not just any Shelby Mustang but the 40th-anniversary GT500KR. Rocker stripes on the Shelby mimic those on the original car, right down to the typeface used for the lettering. The Triton engine uses four valves per cylinder (versus three in the iron-block truck version) and the cylinder heads from the Ford GT, which has an aluminum block. Ford will begin selling the new Mustang in the spring of 2008 and will only build 1000 examples. We figure the S-word on the hood and the slight power bump below should be good for about a $12,000 premium, putting the King of the Road solidly into the mid-$50,000 arena. Prepare your checkbooks now, Shelby enthusiasts, or gird them for a bigger hit later, for all things Shelby appreciate. Carroll Shelby and Ford officials smugly say, much as they did 40 years ago, that with the introduction of the GT500KR everybody else will be trying to catch up again. Finished in a Lamborghini Orange metallic paint this Fastback will set itself apart from all the other Fastbacks. The paint alone on this car was over $30k! Under the hood is a stroked 408 with 550hp mated to a Tremec TKO transmission. Stopping power is all done through a set of Baer brakes with 13.5in front rotors and 11.5in rears. Full custom interior and a custom $5000 stereo from Unique Audio. There are no visible wires in the engine bay for a complete custom finish. This car has a written appraisal for $225,000!!! The car only has about 750 miles on it since the build was completed. It is truly immaculate and a no expense one of kind build. Here are some of the details as quoted from Car Craft MagazineEngine: John Barrett advertises a 392 Windsor package, but Bill wanted the 4.00-inch stroke from the Probe crankshaft. Combined with a 4.030 Dart block, the package is 408 inches that makes 550 hp at 6,000 rpm. The combination also uses Brodix 200cc heads and a Comp Cams hydraulic roller XA274H10 with 0.519/0.523 lift and 230/236 degrees of duration on a 110-lobe center. This version has 10.0:1 compression, but the fuel - injected version can go a high as 11.0:1. Exhaust: Stan's Headers in Puyallup, (say: pew al up) Washington, built the pipes that are fitted to a Magnaflow 3-inch system Transmission: Bill thinks standard transmissions are more fun on the street, and we agree. The Tremec TKO is much larger than a T5, so the transmission tunnel had to be modified and a Tremec tubular crossmember installed to get it to fit. The Mustang uses a stock pedal box and pedals with a hydraulic master and slave mounted on the McLeod scattershield. Drivelines Northwest in Everett, Washington, shortened the driveshaft. Differential: It's a Ford 9-inch from Currie with a Tru-Trac differential and 3.89 gears. Suspension: The car was originally built with Air Ride but with continuous issues the air ride was pulled off and the car now has full coil over suspension and a power rack. Interior: Unique Performance covered the Procar seats with leather, the dashboard is from JME, and the Shelby steering wheel is from LeCarra. The console was built by West Coast and has the controls for the power windows and the digital Air Ride system. The shifter has been modified for the Tremec. Wheels: The 17- and 18-inch Marauders are from Wheel Vintiques with 245/45R17 and 255/35R18 BFGoodrich g-Force tires. When the bags are all the way down, it looks cool, but you can't turn the front wheels.Brakes: The brakes are 13.5-inch Baer Track and 11.5-inch Baer Sport discs. It stops the car effortlessly due to the huge 13" rotors and oversized calipers. All components are like new. Steering components are new or were rebuilt / replaced during build. The suspension on the car is a complete IFS front cross member with polished stainless steel tubular upper and lower control arms. Stainless steel tie rod ends, Heidt's power rack and pinion unit, QA1 front adjustable struts and chrome Heidt's performance sway bar. The front suspension was channeled 2".The rear suspension is a Heidt's chrome, triangulated 4 bar system with urethane bushed coil over shocks. Rear suspension channeled 1". There are no rust issues with this car. Everything looks solid and the frame, pans, trunk and all underside components are in excellent condition.
