1969 Dodge Charger Daytona clone. Every effort has been made to make this car a mirror image replica of the ultra rare 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. You would have to be a virtual Daytona expert to verify you are not looking at the real deal. The restoration took years of research and collecting difficult to find parts as well as a huge time commitment of labor to get the details just right. This Daytona was restored to appear very close to the way it would have left the factory with the exception of a few subtle mechanical modifications to improve reliability, drivability and performance over an original. This car has an all new front to back modern DOT 5 four wheel power disc brake system including all the pads, rotors, calipers, brackets, shields, hoses, lines, master cylinder, booster as well as the parking brake cables front and rear wheel bearings and seals. Rebuilt front suspension with factory 1969 outboard sway bar and new shocks. The rear end is a bulletproof 8 3/4 sure-grip 3:23 posi track with R/T leafs, new air adjustable shocks, new pinion seal as well as the correct green wheel bearings pressed on the axels for the rear disc conversion. The car has a 26" radiator support, a new Direct fit three row Aluminum radiator with stamped tanks and thermo switch controlled dual electric fans mounted in an an aluminum shroud. Mild pro built 440 engine and 727 TorqueFlite Automatic transmission. Correct original 1969 440 Magnum Air cleaner, exhaust manifolds, valve covers, water pump housing, accessory brackets and pulleys. All belts, hoses and clamps, spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, power steering hoses and lines, alternator, starter, water pump, complete engine wire harness and transmission cooler lines are new as well. New fuel system front to back including the carburetor with electronic choke, filter, pump, all lines, hoses, clamps, sending unit, fuel tank straps, tank mat, filler tube seal and polished stainless steel fuel tank. The exhaust system is a new reproduction with all the correct dimples and bends to mimic the factory system and correct rectangular polished stainless steel R/T exhaust tips. It sounds perfect, not loud but you can hear the cam. The beautiful 1969 interior has been restored with the correct materials by Legendary Auto Interiors of New York. The rock solid body is an original Charger 500 from Texas and still retains its original numbers matching fender tag, dash tag, trunk lip and core support numbers with metal so solid clean you can read the factory number stampings on the bottoms of the frame rails. All gaps, lines and fitment are perfect and measurements were taken under close inspection of original untouched Daytona's. The body is laser straight and the paint is show quality Spies Hecker clear coat. Lots of effort went into refinishing the rock solid undercarriage in the correct colors and finishes with high end materials, the bottom is just as nice as the top. For sale is a limited production 2005 Ram 1500 Daytona equipped with the 5.7L Hemi backed by a 5-45RFE 5 speed automatic transmission with 3.92 gears from the factory. The truck has a little over 103K miles. The interior is very clean and of a non smoker. The truck will never be a show piece, but is possibly 1 of 954 in Go ManGo!, RWD, Regular Cab. Would be a straight forward repair and make a nice driver. The engine fires right up and idles nicely. Recently had brake work and an aftermarket exhuast added. I have a vehicle of it running if interested. The truck has two issues with it. Most evident, there is accident damage. Long story short it went through a fence reflected in a carfax report. The title is clear and not salvage. The damage is not too bad and pretty much took a piece of wood right in the middle of the cooling. You will notice the lower and upper radiator support beams were not hit. The lower bumper valance is not present and the hood is repairable. Thankfully the parts are fairly cheap used and new aftermarket. The airbags did not deploy. The second issue with the truck is it started life in the North and has some rust issues. The lower doors (inside/lower), the bed's top middle fender wells, and lower tailgate have rust under the paint in small spots. Unfortunately Dodge had quality control issues around the year range. For Sale: Collectable car in nice shape. Only a couple of small spots of rust on the body. Cute red car, with low mileage, with spoiler. The car is hard to start and misfires a lot initially, but runs great once it idles for a little while. Has a front suspension clunk, probably ball joints or tie rod ends. Not sure how to fix this item, it is definitely a temperature-related issue, like ECT sensor or possibly cap and rotor since the weather has been wet lately. 12/7/15: Update, the car started fine this morning, temperature outside was 38 degrees, dry morning. I suspect that hard start condition has to do with wet weather. The car has a clear PA title. If you live in PA, please send me a message via the "ask question link' below. Drawbacks: 1) Speedometer (cable?) broken. 2) Light bulb in lower left of instrument panel needs replacing. 3) External stereo amp has occasional glitches. 4) Some power buttons for driver's seat not functioning. 5) Slight leak with radiator. 6) Oil tank has a slow leak. 7) Lots of small scratches and dings. 8) Minor dent in right front panel. 9) Hatchback hydraulic rods do not function. I hold the hatch door open w/curtain rod. 10) Power button for right side view mirror does not work. 11) Some plastic around the shifter is broken. *Kelly Blue Book in 2013 stated that this car model in 'Fair' Condition was valued at about $2,300. Kelly Blue Book does not go back to models over 20 years for values, so none available in 2014 or 2015. I believe this car ranks between Fair and Good. The current NADA Guides Price Report states that the lowest retail value for this car is $3,190. The car runs well, but could use a 'car guy' to fix it up.
