this is a 1956 GMC 1/2ton with 3/4ton Napco axels I bought this truck in Oregon and have a clear Oregon title it has a chevy v/8 with headers does not run! The truck sets very nice has 16" wheels has some typical rust front fenders (passenger side should be replaced) steps, cab corners and also in cab above windshield (if bought for full price I will include a header piece to repair this a good hood and a better passenger front fender) dash has been cut for radio. drivers side door is rusted on the bottom and skin is loose but is very fixable passenger door is not as bad. bed is in pretty good shape has dent in rear fender bed wood is gone has correct GMC tailgate comes with a box of small parts that were in the truck when I purchased it. Missing seat and front driveline I have tried to describe the truck in its current condtion please ask questions before you buy! This is a hard to find truck that could be put back on the road as is or could be restored $500.00 nonrefundable deposit due when purchased and balance within 7 days buyer to arrange and pay all shipping

1955 Chevy 3100 V8 short bed pickup ratrod project, original paint and interior, 1958 283 4v engine and 4-speed transmission. This is a complete project truck that was last running and driving about three years ago. Rat Rod 1955 Chevy 3100 V8 1/2-ton with original 6-bolt axles. Has its' original 3100 side spear and V8 emblems. It is all original except for a reportedly built 1958 283 engine (I verified the year and displacement), and ram's horn/cherry bomb dual exhaust, and two under-dash auxiliary gauges (oil pressure and water temp). It was supposed to have been a hot little runner as recently as 3 years ago. I took a valve cover off, and the head/valve train looks brand-new. The engine oil is also clean and like new. I put a battery in it and it turns right over with the key. I didn't spend any time trying to get it running, but I'd bet with fresh tune-up parts (points, cap, and rotor, plugs, wires, etc.) it would fire right up. The engine has obvious high-performance parts on it including an aluminum high-rise intake, Edelbrock 4v carb, Chevy Ram's Horn cast exhaust manifolds, newer ignition, and dual Cherry Bomb glass pack exhaust, auxilliary gauges, etc. so the story seems reasonable. It still has a generator on it, and the wiring is unmolested other than the newer water temperature sending unit. The truck has its' original keys and a title. Right at 97,000 original miles on her. It still has its' original four-speed transmission in it, all connected. It has no brakes currently, but the clutch is good, and it shifts through the gears. As mentioned, the wiring appears to be intact, and when I put a battery in, the voltmeter recognized it, and was working. The ignition switch works and turns the engine over, the gauge cluster is original and nice, steering wheel original with no cracks. Heater controls are there, uncut dash with original block-off plugs, etc. No rust whatsoever in the floors, which is a big plus. This is the perfect Rat Rod / Hot Rod shop truck, with the bone stock look... I would leave the rust, polish what's left of the original paint, get her running, and just hot-rod around. She looks cool as heck, and is priced right. A pretty darn straight truck, considering. There is actually no rust whatsoever in the floors or steps. There is rust-through in the cab corners, and the corner of the passenger side front fender, and the door bottoms (can't see except from underneath. The hood is one of the nicest originals I've seen on an old truck. The bed has a piece of diamond-plate steel over the original wood supports. Tail gate is straight, grill excellent, etc. Overall, it just looks straight and cool. Good glass all around (needs the driver's side regulator replaced), both doors latch properly, obviously has the exterior rust issues detailed above, and needs some work, but it's complete and looks cool. Should be an easy one to put back on the road again. It has a title, and was last registered around 1999 in Oregon. It has the Oregon plates on it still that match the title and registration. Title in hand, you can walk into any Oregon or Washington DMV/DOL and transfer over title and registration. $2,600.00 cash, firm. Please call me at 360-936-9257 to discuss. While every effort is being made to describe the truck accurately, it is in fact a 60-year-old classic, and therefore being sold as-is. No warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Also, I need to be specific on one point: The truck has a clean title for a 1955 Chevrolet 3100 pickup, and the plate number listed on the title matches the license plates on the truck. It has been registered in Oregon for many years. HOWEVER, the VIN on the title does NOT match the VIN on the truck. It has been like this for over 40 years. Not an issue in states that either don't require a title for an older vehicle, or for states that do not require VIN inspections prior to titling/registering. If your state requires an inspection, you would need to get a replacement title that matches the VIN.
