This is my beautiful Ms. Violetta, but is known and has been called "Purple Haze." This car is in excellent condition with very low miles. It is ONE of only ONE. At one of the BMW 8 series festivities I was told by one of the US BMW registry officials that Ms. Violetta is the ONLY one of her kind in the world. It is the perfect investment for a BMW collector. It was specially ordered with the Daytona Violet Exterior paint with Daytona Violet and Lotus White leather interior. Originally ordered from BMW of Palm Springs, Ca. BMW only produced approximately 1500 BMW 850 CSi's worldwide. Of those only approximately 225 where imported to North America. BUT, only one came in Daytona Violet!!! The car's history is well documented on the net... The buyer can pick which set of wheels preferred: Original BMW 18" Alpina wheels, pictured in a couple of the photos of the car Original BMW CSi 17" "Throwing stars" which have been powdered coated and mounted on a new set of Dunlop tires. Original BMW 2006 760 19" Alpina Dynamic wheels, as displayed which are powdered coated a black chrome mounted on a new set of Dunlop tires http://www.sub5zero.com/internet-gem-week-1995-bmw-850csi/ 850CSi BMW 850CSi S70 V12 engine As a top-of-the-range sports tourer, the 850CSi took over from the prototype M8. The 850CSi used the same engine as the 850i, which was tuned so significantly that BMW assigned it a new engine code: S70B56. The modifications included a capacity increase to 5.6 liters and power increase to 380 PS (279 kW; 375 hp). The 850CSi's modified suspension included, stiffer springs and dampers which reduced the car's ride height. The recirculating ball steering ratio was dropped 15% over the stock E31 setup. The model also sported staggered throwing star wheels. The front and rear bumpers were reshaped for improved aerodynamic performance. Four round stainless steel exhaust tips replaced the square tips found on other models. The 6-speed manual gearbox was the only transmission option. In Europe all 850CSi's came with four-wheel steering (AHK - Aktive Hinterachs-Kinematik, Active rear axle Kinematics) , Floating front brake discs, rear differential oil cooler, engine oil cooler and sports seats. Production ended in late 1996 because the S70 engine could not be modified to comply with new emission regulations without substantial re-engineering.

This 1994 BMW 850 CSI is one of 225 produced for the North American Market. It has always been garaged and has spent a majority of its life in California. Currently resides in a heated garage in New Jersey. It does not get driven in the elements. It is all original and in pristine condition. Includes HAMANN wheels ($7000). Also includes the original M-TECHNIQUE wheels, in perfect condition. Just serviced by BMW. All records on file. Pictures will tell the story. Although not badged as such, the 850CSi was developed by BMW Motorsport and is therefore a true M car. The 850CSi used the same engine as the 850i, which was tuned so significantly that BMW assigned it a new engine code: S70B56. BMW Motorsport began with the standard 24-valve SOHC M70 engine and instituted changes that resulted in an increase in maximum power from 300 hp (DIN) to 372 hp (SAE) at 5,300 rpm. In addition, maximum torque was increased from 332 lb/ft at 4,100 rpm to 402 lb/ft at 4,000 rpm. The 850CSi's modified suspension included stiffer springs and dampers and reduced the car's ride height. The recirculating ball steering ratio was dropped 15% over the stock E31 setup. The exterior of the 850CSi is distinguished by a unique front fascia that includes a deeper front airdam and air intake, more pronounced side sills and four round exhaust tips, two pairs on either side of a "diffuser" panel under the bumper. U.S.-spec cars have unique door handles that are embossed with "BMW Motorsport" script. An "850CSi" badge appears on the trunk lid. The 6-speed manual gearbox was the only transmission option. Every 850CSi also features a special instrument cluster with red needles, a 300 kph/180 mph speedometer and a unique tachometer with a graduated redline. The 850 CSI used the same engine as the 850i, but with many modifications including a capacity increase to 5.6 liters with a power output of 380 hp at 5300 rpm. Are you offended by the idea of locking up a beautiful 850CSi thoroughbred in some storage unit somewhere? Does it make you cringe at the idea of these rare and exotic cars rarely being driven on the open road, depriving the world of their magic, rarity and mystique? Then this car is for you!This 1995 BMW 850CSi is on offer for sale and is one of 225 US market examples; the lowest production car shipped to the US in BMW's history. Only 1,510 of these unique cars were ever built worldwide. This example is a special sleeper CSi that has been well documented on the Internet. All performance upgrades are CA legal and offer the next level of performance and improvement beyond factory, making this a one-of-a-kind driving experience. Back in 2007, I had read all over the Internet, all about the great work one of the previous owners (Greg Tessier) had commissioned Chad at Bullet Performance to do on "chassis #166" and swore that one day I would build a car like that. This car had a complete engine-out performance rebuild and today has just 36K miles on the engine. In 2010, the opportunity came for me to actually BUY #166 and so I took it. This is one of the best documented, cleanest 850CSis in the country and is in excellent condition inside and out. The rest of the interior, engine bay and trunk reflect a clean and very well cared-for specimen. A recent smoke test in October 2015 revealed absolutely NO leaks in the case or intake. The interior smells like new, has never been smoked in and has been adult driven only. This car has won several awards, been in BIMMER Magazine twice, and today is possibly the most well cared for CSi around. Like the Most Interesting Man in the World says, "I don't always drive an 850CSi, but when I do, I borrow Taylor's CSi..."Background: This is a numbered, rare vehicle of limited production. As close to the M8 as you will find on the road, the CSi was the company flagship of the ninetees. Its V12 power plant was bored and stroked by BMW M GmbH, the renamed BMW Motorsport. Its displacement of 5576cc is 12 percent larger than the 850Ci's, but its 380 hp is 29 percent greater and the compression ratio was bumped to 9.8:1. Torque increased to 410 lb-ft from 360 in the 850Ci. This vehicle is for BMW enthusiasts only! The 850CSi is the BMW Motorsport ("M") version of the 8 Series and is a collector's car. BMW only imported 225 850CSi's during model years 1994-95 to North America, which is why the value will keep increasing. The styling, the engineering, and the build quality of the vehicle is timeless. People still ask, "is that a new model BMW?" The car is sure-footed and it is reported that this car goes from 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds without the Dinan exhaust enhancement. It is equipped with Dinan exhaust and has a beautiful color combination (midnight blue and two-tone gray leather interior). I purchased the vehicle several years ago from a private party out of VA and didn't drive it much, which is why it still has the plates, but I have the title and it's clean. Cosmetically it is in very good condition. It has a clean title and carfax. The entire car was recently repainted its original Mauritiusblau Metallic color. I spent 3000 on the quality paint job. This car was my garage queen. I only drove it on the weekends or to car shows. Maintenance is up to date. I recently replaced the oil pan gasket and oil pan, transmission fluid, and engine oil. The car drives straight with no shakes or shimmies like many 8 series bmws do. The suspension is in very good condition with no worn bushings or struts. It does not leak any fluid. It has been a California car its entire life, so no rust at all. The interior is in very good condition for its age. No tears or major wear on the seats as you can see in the pictures.
