But this is not your English country road Austin Healey. This car is a rocket. This is the car Carroll Shelby would have built if Austin Healey would have sold him the chassis and bodies when he first conceived his Cobra (Shelby raced Austin Healeys). It is fitted with a 370hp Corvette engine, original Cobra gauges on polished aluminum dash, oil cooler, 4-speed close ratio Muncie gearbox with Hurst shifter, Ford positraction differential. Custom wheels and disk brakes all around. For all that, the V-8 engine is 75 pounds lighter than the old Healy 4 banger. The body is perhaps the most beautiful AH in the country. The car is in show condition (and was featured in Rod & Custom magazine in April 2013). All seams have been filled, extraneous trim removed so the sexy Austin Healey style really stands out as it should. New paint, new upholstery, clean undercarraige. Firewall and radiator cowling in stainless steel. 6000 miles on the engine and body since total rebuild.Car can be seen at our Southampton NY Showroom, Monday-Saturday. 1955 AUSTIN HEALEY 100-4 BN-1 TWO-SEATER SPORTS ROADSTER. 3-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE. WIRE WHEELS. CA BLACK LICENSE PLATE. ORIGINAL COLORS: OLDE ENGLISH WHITE WITH GREEN TRIM. VIN # BN1-L 225506BODY # 5267 / 8769ENG # 1B225506M Up for auction, here on Ebay, from KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS, is a 1955 Austin Healey 100-4 for restoration. This car was discovered in the San Francisco bay area after being stored since 1970, and now awaits a full restoration. Original factory color scheme appears to be Olde English White with Green trim. The trunk has some remnants of the original green Armacord. It is fitted with it's original 3-speed with overdrive gearbox and correct matching numbers drivetrain with the matching engine tag. It also still has it's correct VIN plate and body tag still attached to the firewall. The engine is stuck from sitting and would most likely need rebuilding. There are a few items missing on the car which are available new and some used. Please look at the photos of the loose parts, which are all included in the sale of the car. The car would need a bumper set, 2 overriders, an exhaust manifold, windshield glass, thermostat cover, 1 air cleaner, and some other misc. parts. The instruments (partially apart) and dashboard switches are in a box. There is a decent box of parts that came with the car including the wiper motor, fuel pump, body fittings, etc. The car includes some very hard to find items such as the softtop frame, complete windshield assembly, a decent set of seats, etc. The LH door and hood are currently not attached to the car. The car is fitted with an earlier alloy hood that has had some louvers installed. The frame appears generally solid with it's usual dings and dents, but after sandblasting could reveal some additional areas for repair. At one point, the car sustained damage to the RH chassis leg and fender bowl, which would need correcting/straightening during the restoration. There is some rust around the front of the RH leg, but seems localized to that area. Floors and trunk floor are original but scaly with some rust-through, and would also need repair, which is typical for a Healey of this era. Most of the outriggers appear reasonable. In general, the car needs a ground up restoration as any 60-year old Healey probably does that has been sitting all this time. But the end result is worthwhile, as the 100-4 model is becoming increasingly desirable as of late for its character, great looks, and simplicity. This car is located in Southern California and can be shown by appointment. It is sold with a current CA title. KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS. 909-920-9221, work. 909-241-1051, cell.

1963 AUSTIN HEALEY BJ8 MARK 3000 This car is just amazing to both drive and look at ! With an older OE Gold standard restoration car that comes with a very unique color combo "Red Over Tan Interior with Red Carpet" that is 100% correct with 85,000 original miles it was completely restored to the highest Healey standards between 3-4,000 miles ago. If driving is believing then you will not be disappointed, During the O.E. Restoration every factory body paint dab and mark was authentically duplicated, the engine , transmission and complete drive line received the full attention of the restorer as did the body and has aged to a beautiful patina, no restoration needed here just jump in and enjoy. Recently the original points fuel pump was replaced with an electronic one for drive-ability, of course the original one comes with the car. After attending several shows years ago the owner added the chrome wires and wood wheel to give the car a personal touch. Crevier Classic Cars is pleased to offer our 1956 Austin Healey 100M Le Mans Roadster. This is a factory built 100M as documented by the Heritage Trust certificate and is a numbers matching example. The Austin Healey 100 M "Le Mans" "factory-built" sports cars were produced between September 5, 1955 and July 16, 1956. According to factory records discovered in July of 1985, only 640 of these 100 M cars were made. This figure is based on the factory build cards, which called for a louvered bonnet. This factory produced series was designated the M model by Donald Healey. Throughout its production run in the 1950s, the Austin-Healey was available in a variety of different model specifications. As befitting its competition background, a model was developed for racing: the 100S. This boasted alloy body panels in addition to a modified engine, and the model was entered in many of the classic endurance events such as Sebring, the Mille Miglia and Le Mans.As just 55 examples of the 100S had been built for competition work, Austin-Healey decided to capitalize on its success and offer some of the modifications to the ordinary customer. A Le Mans package was developed, and cars fitted with this were referred to as 100Ms. Modifications included a higher compression ratio, high-lift camshafts and larger SU carburetors. This increased power to 110bhp, compared to 90bhp for the standard car. Other identifying features included hood louvers and a leather hood strap. By the end of 1956, the original four-cylinder engine had been replaced with a six-cylinder unit. This meant that the 100M cars, built only in 1955 and 1956, were some of the last, original four-cylinder cars, and also some of the most desirable. The basic details of the history of this 1956 Austin-Healey 100M Roadster are set out on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate that accompanies the car. Chassis number BN2-L/232183 was built as a left-hand drive 100M model at Austin’s Longbridge factory on 4, May 1956. It was destined for the Austin-Healey dealer in San Francisco. Extra equipment included a heater, a laminated windscreen, and a louvered hood (the latter was a particular feature of the 100M model). While the original owner is unknown, the car was owned from the early 70's through 2008 by one owner and then from 2008-current by the next. He restored the car at that time to his own requirements. This Austin-Healey is presented in good order with recent paint job by noted expert Scott Beckman. A very sound and desirable Austin-Healey, this 100M will provide its next owner with enjoyable, high-speed motoring in the best traditions of the classic British sports car. Austin Healey is one of the big names in British motoring history with Donald Healey and his beloved Big Healey’s winning over enthusiast across the world. It all started with the spirited 100-4’s and evolved into the much more powerful 3000 with three variants put into production ranging from the MKI to the MKIII but what we are concerned with is the middle model, the MKII. It appears quite similar to its predecessor, the MKI, but is equipped with several refinements such as three SU HS4 carburetors, different valve springs, and upgraded camshaft. They were offered in one of two platforms, a two seater roadster or 4-place open format. To this day, these concise, nimble roadsters are adored by enthusiasts for their performance, classic look, and nostalgia. Being that these cars are so pleasantly usable, they were regularly enjoyed by their owners over the years resulting in seeking out good examples increasingly more difficult but not impossible. This brings us to the example on offer. Now available out of the LBI stable is a matching numbers, 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII chassis number HBT7L18337, engine number 29ERUH4545. This example is coming out of over a decade of ownership here in Pennsylvania and is now awaiting its next care taker. Right before the turn of the century, the previous owner had initiated a nut and bolt restoration, executed by the marque specialist at Fourintune of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Unfortunately, the early history of this car is not known but more information will be known upon receiving the heritage certificate, which is on order. The initial impression this car gives off is a consistent, well cared for and preserved restoration, boasting quality that has stood the test of time. The old English white paint has aged well, still possessing a glossy shine and depth. In terms of flaws, there are only a couple noteworthy items to include a small bubble on the passenger side door directly to the left of the door handle and a minute crack by the bonnet grill. Otherwise the paint shows well and could be considered show worthy and without needs. The rubber components are all intact, supple, and seal properly. The weather gear is in presentable condition but it should be noted that the plexiglass windows do have some moderate scratches and the rear plastic window has developed some clouding. An inspection of the panel fitment will conclude even gaps and seams throughout which can be attested to the quality of the restoration. The chrome items including the bumpers, grill, bezels, windshield frame, and trim pieces are in good shape, absent of any significant flawing but some scattered subtle pitting can be seen under close inspection on various items. The wire wheels and tires are presentable however, the paint on the wheels has begun to fail in a few small areas. They could be left in their driving quality state or simply resprayed to remedy the issue. The tires are the period correct style for concours; they have however started cracking due to age. The glass components on the car are all free of any deep scratches, chips, or abnormalities showing, as a restored example should. Pull open the door and the door jams appear clean and consistent with the rest of the car. The red interior shows beautifully with the front and rear seats complimented by the white piping. Given that this is an older restoration, one will note a few items have developed some patina. The side bolsters on the driver’s side seat, a common area of flawing, have slightly worn but are still very much presentable. Also, under the right lighting one can see the red vinyl on the front seats has begun to fade slightly with the rear seats slightly darker as they have most likely never been sat in. The dash top and fascia is without flaws, housing the rebuilt gauges with crisp lenses and fully operational. The correct steering wheel is present versus the aftermarket Moto Lita steering wheels Healey owners commonly replace it with, allowing for a more authentic driving experience. The shifter and boot have held up well having incurred no damage. A peak down at the carpet and floor mats will show they are free of any stains, tears, or inconsistencies. However, after 16 years of going to shows and letting the car sit in the sun the carpets do show some fading in areas. It could easily be left but it perhaps the most obvious flaw. Moving forward with our inspection to the engine bay, one will see a properly maintained engine that is accompanied by the correct hoses, clamps, markings, and all accessories. All components appear tidy with any servicing clearly completed by very capable hands. The rear trunk possesses many of the same qualities with the liner showings as new and the spare wheel, tool kit, and jack all present. An inspection of the underside shows no obvious issues as it is very presentable for an older restoration. There is some typical aging from use but nothing unexpected and completely in line with the rest of the car. The correct areas were painted the color of the body, suspension components all tended to, and any major issues were corrected during the restoration, however not noticeable today. In combination with the cosmetics, this particular example is also in superb mechanical condition. The previous owner did drive this car quite a bit but also ensured his use of the car was accompanied by appropriate maintenance. Under his care a variety of items were tended to including new wheel cylinders, fuel pump, battery, miscellaneous hoses, choke cable assembly, clutch service, and the list goes on. There are thousands in receipts from local Austin Healey Specialists servicing the car throughout the years. Needless to say, this car is very much a turn-key example that you can simply get in and enjoy. It does not take much to start and once up to temperature performs without issue. The clutch operates as it should, the transmission going in and out of gear without any hassle. Put down your right foot and the engine springs to life, pulling well, and making that snappy Healey exhaust note. The steering feels tight and precise with no notable play. The brakes feel firm, functioning without issue, stopping straight and true when applied. This example is equipped with overdrive which is fully operable, making highway driving much more pleasant for the driver and the car. The car feels settled in, sorted, and is a nicely aged restoration that has a solid feeling of reliability. The Austin Healey we are left with today is a well-rounded and consistent example throughout all areas of the car. The restoration completed by the professionals at Fourintune set a great base for this Healey to provide many more years of enjoyment. This will not only be a fantastic car to take on tours, rallies, and show but also a feasible investment. This example is offered with the original owners manual, tools, spare, weather gear, and BMIHT Certificate.
