HI, UP FOR SALE HERE IS A 1959 AMC CROSS COUNTRY WAGON LIKE THE ONE SEEN IN THE MOVIES "MYSTERY MEN" (1999), "JOE DIRT" (2001) AND THE RECENT TV SHOW "FAST AND LOUD" / "GAS MONKEY". THE RESTO MOD GAS MONKEY DID FETCHED HIM A WHOOPING $35K WITH YUCKIE OLD PAINT ! ON SUN DAY THE 4TH OF MAY I PUT SOME STARTING FLUID IN THE CARB, TURNED THE KEY AND THE MOTOR FIRED UP AND RAN GOOD !. CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE ISSUED IN 1970 THAT MATCHES ITS CALIFORNIA 70'S BLUE AND YELLOW SIX DIGIT PLATES AND ID, SHOWS A FEMALES BEVERLY HILLS ADDRESS NEAR LEVEL ONE ENTERTAINMENT, WRITERS GUILD THEATER AND LA MIES MUSIC HALL. REAR LICENSE PLATE HOLDER SHOWS THE NAME OF BEVERLY HILLS CADILLAC DEALER. FROM THIS IM CONCLUDING THIS WAGON PROBABLY BELONGED TO A LITTLE OLD LADY FROM BEVERLY HILLS WHO MAY OF BEEN IN SHOW BIZ THAT WINDED UP A FEW MILES TO THE NORTH IN SAN FERNANDO VALLEY WHERE MANY SHOW BIZ PEOPLE LIVE. IT THEN WINDED UP A FEW MILES EAST OF THE PASADENA ROSE PARADE AND FINALLY 100 MILES SOUTH IN SAN DIEGO. THE GREAT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE GAS, BRAKE AND CLUTCH PEDALS MAKE ME BELIEVE ODOMETER MILEAGE MAY BE ORIGINAL. IM NOT INTO RESTO MODS: I BELIEVE IN RESTORING A VEHICLE AS CLOSE TO AS STOCK AS POSSIBLE SO PURCHASED TONS OF NEW STOCK PARTS FOR IT. THE FOLLOWING PARTS ARE INSTALLED: NEW MADE IN USA WHITE WALL COOPER FRONT DRIVERS SIDE TIRE, NEW LIFETIME WARRANTY NO RECIEPT REQUIRED DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR. NEW SPECIFIC FOR THIS MOTOR 5 YEAR WARRANTY SPARK PLUG WIRES, NEW SPARK PLUGS, NEW SAFETY RELEASE RADIATOR CAP. HAD THE AIR CLEARNER BLASTED AND THEN HAND SANDED BEFORE APPLYING THE NEW DARK BLUE METALLIC PAINT AND INSTALLING THE NEW FRAM AIR FILTER. NEW DRIVERS SIDE FRONT WHEEL GREASE SEAL AND COMPLETELY NEW BLUE MARINE GRADE WHEEL BEARING GREASE ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE WHEEL BEARINGS AND INSIDE THE DRUM. I HAVE NEW LIFETIME WARRANTY NO RECEIPT REQUIRED FRONT BRAKE SHOES AND NEW REAR BRAKE SHOES FOR IT. WHEN I FIRST TOOK OFF THE DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE DRUM TO INSPECT AND TO MAKE SURE THE MADE IN USA NEW OLD STOCK BRAKE WHEEL CYLINDER I PURCHASED WAS CORRECT AND IT IS, IT DIDNT LOOK LIKE IT NEEDED MUCH AS THE WHEEL CYLINDER ON IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD, THE BRAKE SHOES STILL HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF MATERIAL AND THE OUTER MADE IN USA TIMKEN WHEEL BEARING LOOKED IN REMARKABLY GOOD SHAPE AS IF IT HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED NOT LONG AGO OR COULD IT BE THE ORIGINAL ? THIS WAGON CAME WITH AND OLD ADVERTIZEMENT BOOSTED ABOUT IT HAVING INDEPENDANT FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS SO THEY ARE LIKE OVERSIZED FACTORY BUCKETS. THE TOP OF THE FRONT SEATS NEED APOLSTERY AND BOTTOM COLORS DONT MATCH SO THEY SHOULD BE APOLSTERED. THE REAR TOP OF THE SEAT IS IN REMARKABLY GOOD SHAPE AND HAS THE STOCK BOTTOM BUT THE BOTTOM NEEDS APOLSTERY. I CONSULTED AN APOLSTERY GUY AND SAID HES GETTING SOME ORIGINAL LOOKING SEAT MATERIAL SOON. THE WHITE HEADLINER IS IN REMARKABLY GOOD SHAPE. ALL DOOR PANELS ARE THERE. MOST OF THE ORIGINAL VYNIL FLOORING IS STILL THERE AND THE METAL UNDERNEATH IS IN GOOD ENOUGH CONDITION TO FIBERGLASS. I TOOK A POWERFUL CONTRACTORS SHOP VACUUME AND THOUROUGHLY VACUUMED UNDER THE STOCK FLOORING MATERIAL AND CHEMICALLY TREATED THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT THREE TIMES IN PREPARATION FOR FIBERGLASSING. THE FIRST PICTURE OF THE MOTOR SHOWS HOW I GOT IT AFTER I INSTALLED ITS AIR FILTER, WITH ITS OLD OVERSIZED BATTERY AND OLD BRAKE MASTERY CYLINDER. THE NEXT PICTURE OF THE MOTOR HAS THE NEW SPARK PLUG WIRES, NEW SPARK PLUGS, THE NEW DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR, THE AIR CLEANER INSTALLED WITH NEW AIR FILTER AFTER BEING BLASTED INSIDE AND OUT AND HAND SANDED AND ITS NEW BATTERY. THE NEXT TWO PICTURES OF THE MOTOR COMPARTMENT IS LESS THE AIR FILTER, LESS THE NEW BATTERY AND LESS THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TO FACILITATE HOURS OF SANDING TO BRING SOME OF THE MOTOR COMPARTMENT METAL TO A SHINE IN PREPARATION FOR NEW ORIGINAL PAINT. LAST TWO PICTURES OF THE MOTOR COMPARTMENT SHOWS THE BRAND NEW MASTER CYCLINDER PAINTED A DARK BLUE METALLIC IN ITS PLACE JUST ON FOR THE PHOTO BUT REMOVED TO SAND ALL ADJACENT AREAS IN PREP FOR THE NEW ORIGININAL COLOR PAINT BEFORE BEING PERMANENETLY INSTALLED. THE NEXT PICTURE SHOWS THE MASTER CYCLINDER AREA AFTER BEING SANDED TO THE METAL IN PREP FOR NEW PAINT. LAST STEP BEFORE MASTER CYCLINDER AREA PAINT IS TO SAND BLAST PESKY LITTLE CREASE JUST ABOVE MASTER CYCLINDER AREA I CANT GET TO MANUALLY. ITS MISSING THE STOCK COLUMN SHIFTER HANDLE SO IM IN THE MARKET FOR ONE IF ANYONE READING THIS KNOWS OF ONE FOR SALE. THE LAST PICTURE WAS TAKEN FROM THE MOVIE "MYSTERY MEN" WHEN THE MYSTERY MEN SUPERHEROS CONFRONT THE VILLAIN "CASANOVA FRANKEINSTEIN" AND BEN STILLER IS ABOUT TO "RAGE" ON CASANOVAS CORVETTE LIMO. WILL CONSIDER ? TOWARDS PURCHASE. ANY FORM OF PAYMENT INCLUDING PAY PAL MUST COMPLETELY CLEAR BEFORE PICK UP OR SHIPPING. LOCAL CASH PICK UP IS WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED. JUST HAD THE AIR CLEARNER BLASTED AND THEN HAND SANDED BEFORE APPLYING THE NEW DARK BLUE METALLIC PAINT AND INSTLLING THE NEW FRAM AIR FILTER. I HAVE NEW LIFETIME WARRANTY NO RECEIPT REQUIRED FRONT BRAKE SHOES AND NEW REAR BRAKE SHOES. OTHER NEW PARTS I HAVE FOR IT ARE: BRAND NEW BATTERY, BRAND NEW BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, NEW BLUE STREAK CONDENSER, NEW OLD STOCK MADE IN USA FRONT BRAKE WHEEL CYCLINDER, NEW REAR BRAKE WHEEL CYCLINDERS, NEW POINTS, NEW FRONT WHEEL SEALS, NEW REAR WHEEL SEALS, NEW OLD STOCK IGNITION LOCK & KEYS, NEW SPARK PLUGS, NEW OIL FILTER, NEW REAR TAILIGHT LENSES ETC ETC. THE MOTOR TURNS AND I HEAR THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP GO ON WITH THE KEY ON BUT NO GAS WAS COMMING THROUGH TO THE INLINE FUEL FILTER SO ILL HAVE TO GET SOME GAS AND TRY IT AGAIN. WORD I GOT FROM PREVIOUS OWNER IS THAT IT WAS A RUNNING MOTOR AND FROM THE SOUND OF THE MOTOR WHEN IT TURNS, I FEEL CONFIDENT ONCE I GET SOME GAS TO GO THROUGH THE GAS LINE, IT WILL FIRE UP. ITS MISSING THE STOCK COLUMN SHIFTER HANDLE SO IM IN THE MARKET FOR ONE IF ANYONE READING THIS KNOWS OF ONE FOR SALE. TOOK THE DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE DRUM OFF TO INSPECT AND MAKE SURE THE MADE IN USA NEW OLD STOCK BRAKE WHEEL CYLINDER I PURCHASED WAS CORRECT AND IT IS. HOWEVER, DOESNT LOOK LIKE IT NEEDS MUCH AS THE WHEEL CYLINDER ON IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD, THE BRAKE SHOES STILL HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF MATERIAL AND THE OUTER MADE IN USA TIMKEN WHEEL BEARING LOOKED IN REMARKABLY GOOD SHAPE AS IF IT HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED NOT LONG AGO OR COULD IT BE THE ORIGINAL ? THE WHEEL BEARING GREASE DID LOOK LIKE IT HAD BETTER DAYS SO I CLEANED OFF AS MUCH OF THE OLD GREASE WITH PAPER TOWELS AS I COULD BUT IM PLANNING ON OPENING IT UP AGAIN AND THOROUGHLY CLEANING OUT ALL THE OLD GREASE AND REPLACING IT WITH BLUE MARINE QUALITY GREASE. I CONSULTED AN APOLSTERY GUY AND SAID HES GETTIN SOME ORIGINAL LOOKING SEAT MATERIAL SOON. THE WHITE HEADLINER IS IN REMARKABLY GOOD SHAPE. ALL DOOR PANELS ARE THERE. THE ORIGINAL DOUBLE WALLED FRONT FLOOR BOARDS AND SINGLE WALLED REAR FLOOR BOARDS COULD USE SOME WORK: MOST OF THE ORIGINAL VYNIL FLOORING IS STILL THERE AND THE METAL UNDERNEATH IS IN GOOD ENOUGH CONDITION TO FIBERGLASS THEM. I TOOK A POWERFUL CONTRACTORS SHOP VACUUME AND THOUROWLY VACUUMED UNDER THE STOCK FLOORING MATERIAL AND CHEMICALLY TREATED THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TWICE IN PREPARATION FOR FIBERGLASSING. TIRES ARE MISSMATCHED: THE TWO ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ARE BIAS PLY AND THE ONES ON THE DRIVER SIDE ARE UNDERSIZED METRIC. JUST MISSED A COMPLETE SET OF USED WIDE WHITE WALL TIRES LOCALLY WITH MOST OF THE TREAD ON THEM FOR $200. IF YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW OF ANYONE WITH A SET OF LARGE 15" WIDE WHITE WALL TIRES, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. SO OVERALL ITS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH GETTING SPECIAL TREATMENT DAILY. THE PICTURE OF THE HEADLINER WAS SHOT AT NIGHT WITH A FLASH SO ITS KINDA FOGGY BUT AS YOU CAN SEE ITS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. THE FIRST PICTURE OF THE MOTOR SHOWS IT WITH ITS AIR FILTER, OLD OVERSIZED BATTERY AND OLD BRAKE MASTERY CYLINDER. THE SECOND PICTURE SHOWS THE BRAND NEW MASTER CYCLINDER PAINTED A DARK BLUE METALLIC IN ITS PLACE JUST ON FOR THE PHOTO BUT REMOVED TO SAND ALL ADJACENT AREAS IN PREP FOR THE NEW ORIGININAL COLOR PAINT BEFORE BEING PERMANENETLY INSTLLED. THE THIRD PICTURE SHOWS THE NEW RIGHT SIZED BATTERY WITH THE AIR FILTER MISSING BECAUSE IT WAS OUT GETING BEED BLASTED INSIDE AND OUT. THE THIRD PICTURE OF THE MOTOR COMPARTMENT IS LESS THE AIR FILTER, LESS THE NEW BATTERY AND LESS THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TO FACILITATE HOURS OF SANDING TO BRING SOME OF THE MOTOR COMPARTMENT METAL TO A SHINE AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE. THE LAST PICTURE OF THE MOTOR HAS THE NEW SPARK PLUG WIRES, THE NEW DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR, THE AIR CLEANER INSTALLED AFTER BEING BLASTED INSIDE AND OUT, HAND SANDED AND PAINTED WITH THE NEW FRAM AIR FILTER INSIDE AND ITS NEW BATTERY. THE LAST PICTURE WAS TAKEN FROM THE MOVIE "MYSTERY MEN" WHEN THE MYSTERY MEN SUPERHEROS CONFRONT THE VILLAIN "CASANOVA FRANKEINSTEIN" AND BEN STILLER IS ABOUT TO "RAGE" ON CASANOVAS CORVETTE LIMO. for sale is a true head turner and extremely well built, custom, 1959 AMC Rambler American Super Wagon. This is one ride you can drive and are not likely to run into another one. This specific wagon underwent a nut-and-bolt restoration just 2000 miles ago. The 2000 miles gave plenty of time to work out the bugs because this is no average wagon. Under the hood is a 5.3L LS1 truck engine and a 4L60E automatic transmission. The LS1 came out of a donor truck and is stock with 22,000 miles, 20,000 at the time of installation. The powerful V8 offers Sanderson ceramic coated headers. The front end is comprised of a Mustang II with front disc brakes, tubular A-arms, dropped spindles, QA1 coil overs, front sway bar and powder coated 4 bar rear suspension. The rear end is an 8\\\" ford with 3.40 gears. The exhaust is comprised of 2 1/2\\\" stainless with stainless FlowMaster mufflers. Other options include: AC, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Power seat, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Spare Tire, Radial tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Everything on this car was either refurbished or rebuilt. The exterior is professionally done in Dupont Speck Master Green and a black top. All the paint is show quality and is base coat/clear coat. Due to the Rambler\\\'s thorough restoration, the car can be driven regularly and effortlessly. The AMC can get 22-25 MPG!!! Not too bad for a custom hot rod. If you are looking for a show car, custom street rod, or a daily driver that stands out amongst the pack please look no further. To view the 1959 AMC American Super Wagon in greater detail, including a video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our Indianapolis showroom. For more information please call 317-688-1100. For those of you like ebay user spacesafety55, who think ebay is a joke... that bidding and winning cars when you have no ability or intention to buy is cool, I assure it is not... PLEASE only bid if you intend to purchase... THANKS! This is a really cool, unique, and VERY RARE Rambler Surf Wagon. Top of the line, highly optioned 440 model. Super clean original California black plate little wagon. I bought it with a hot rod conversion in mind but its too rare, original, and nice to start chopping up so I'm offering it up in original stock condition. The American model is smaller than the other AMC wagons and most wagons of the period... cool look!! Has the original legendary 195 6 cylinder and optional 3 speed automatic... It works amazingly well in this wagon... plenty powerful and super smooth!! This little classic has very rare Airliner bucket Seats, Center Console, Full Carpet, Roof Rack, Deluxe Interior and more in great condition all around. Looks awesome with just a bit of original patina and proper period correct hot rod stance... looks, runs, and drives great. Cool vintage wagon would be awesome weekend cruiser, daily driver, or addition to any collection... The body is pretty darn straight and rust free... underside is super solid... nice and clean. Repaint in original correct color presents great but not a show job by any means... Has a couple of rough spots and blemishes. Still gets the thumbs up all day long...:):):) It has a cool stance with period correct rims, caps and tires... doors close tight and windows work nice... Get's looks and compliments everywhere we roll... perfectly fine to drive as is or go in any direction you want... personally I was going to go Surf Wagon all the way but would make a great hot rod, low rider, sleeper... etc. The interior is really great... all original and in nice shape all around... ... Dash and gauges are nice and work properly. Optional air liner reclining seats have been redone. Panels and headliner are in nice shape with a couple of minor imperfections. Original AM radio works perfectly as do the lights and electronics. Original 195 3.3 liter motor starts idles and runs fantastic... Freshly rebuilt 3 speed auto shifts smooth and strong through the gears... Gear ratios are great around town and cruises really nice on the freeway as well. Has surprisingly good ride and brakes stop straight and sure. Strong and reliable... ready to roll. Overall this is a really cool American Classic Surf Wagon in great condition all around. Awesome potential and/or weekend cruiser, daily driver, or whatever you like. Great for any enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool and unique Vintage Classic at a great price. The car is located in Beverly Hills California... Inspections are welcome and encouraged... serious buyers can call me at 310 850 8980 but no tire kickers please. I'm open to interesting trades (within ebay guidelines) but no projects or junk please. IMPORTANT: I have tried to describe this vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible but please remember it is a used vehicle. As with any vehicle, (new or used) there may be issues that I have overlooked or am unaware of. If you are not familiar with purchasing used vehicles and or specialty vehicles or you have not purchased a vehicle using the Internet, PLEASE do your research, ask questions, make sure you are comfortable with me as a seller, the vehicle, and the process. Unless stated otherwise, I cannot guarantee original miles and I am not offering a warranty so if you want one, let's discuss it and document it before the purchase is final. Otherwise there is no warranty expressed or implied. THANKS! Need 500 deposit within 48 hours of auction end and balance COD within 7 days. Shipping is buyers responsibility. Thanks!

1965 Rambler Classic Wagon Call 864-907-0740 if you have any questions. This is a project car but with tons of potential. Real old school look similar to the chevy II Nova or Malibu. Body: Very solid -see pics Carpet was removed so you can see how solid the floors are.Engine: 6 cyl that does run but needs TLC. Perfect project for a V8 anyway.Transmission: Automatic on the column shifts into gear but I have not driven the car to test it fully.

LAST CHANCE AT THIS PRICE... NEXT WEEK IT GOES TO CALI!! This is a really cool, unique, Rambler Surf Wagon Big Block Hot Rod. Super clean with Patina Look with Modern Chassis, 455 big block V8 and and Turbo 400 3 speed Auto Trans. This little rod was nicely converted and runs and drives great. It has the legendary hot rod set up, on an s10 chassis with modern suspension, power steering and disk brakes... It works amazingly well in this wagon... Super powerful and fast!! This bad boy is in great condition all around. Looks awesome with hot rod patina and proper period correct hot rod stance... looks, runs, and drives great. I bought this on the east coast with a grand plan but have some time/space issues so I'm going to offer this for sale one time, as is, CHEAP... this is an opportunity... Cool vintage hot/rat rod wagon would be awesome weekend cruiser, daily driver, or addition to any collection... The body is pretty darn straight and except for the surface patina, it's 99.5 % rust free... there are 2 very small rust spots that you might address and blend in... the rest of the car and the underside is super solid... nice and clean. I'd satin clear it and call it done. It has a cool stance with period correct fat rims and tires... doors close tight and windows work nice... Get's looks and compliments everywhere we roll... The interior is great... all redone in smooth black metal... welds and finish are all nice... Dash and gauges are nice and work properly. Seat is redone and comfortable... no rear seat... headliner is all there but could use some love... cool long handle ratchet shifter... great hot rod interior... 455 big block motor starts idles and runs fantastic... Awesome power and sounds really cool... 3 speed auto shifts smooth and strong through the gears... S10 rear end... Gear ratios are great around town and cruises nice on the freeway as well. S10 chassis with modern suspension provides surprisingly good ride and front disk brakes stop straight and sure. Strong, FAST, and reliable... ready to roll. Overall this is a really cool American Classic Hot/Rat Rod Surf Wagon in great condition all around. Awesome potential and/or weekend cruiser, daily driver, or whatever you like. Great for any enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool and unique Vintage Classic at a great price. The car is located is at my sisters farm just outside philadelphia... Inspections are welcome and encouraged... serious buyers can call me at 310 850 8980 but no tire kickers please. I'm open to interesting trades (within ebay guidelines) but no projects or junk please.
