This particular 2004 Subaru WRX STI started out life in the hands of pure Subaru lover and enthusiast. When the WRX reached our shores in 2002 he immediately went out and purchased one, and needless to say in 2004 when the STI got here he went over and traded his 2002 in on this very car. This car was his baby, always garaged and cared for, only taken out on nice days, which are few and far between in northern Washington State. It was his weekend fun car, so it has had an easy life, mostly relaxing in the garage. It really is a time capsule. I had a 1959 Mini Cooper up for sale, and was contacted about a trade by the original owner of this STI. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't really looking for a Subaru, but once I heard about and saw the car I had to do it, his car was too nice to pass up. I took ownership in July of 2015, the car had around 15,000 miles on it. I have put about 2,500 miles on the car over the past 6 months, and have enjoyed it, but I am ready to move on to something more my style. Now down to the car. It is in well above average condition, the interior is excellent condition. The car runs and drives flawlessly, shifts like butter and accelerates like a rocket. The A/C blows ice cold and everything works. The exterior is in very nice condition with the normal wear and tear associated with a car of this age, a few minor rock chips and blemishes up front from highway driving and if you really wanted to get your eyeball within a couple feet of the car I'm sure you could find something, but absolutely no dings, dents, major scratches, ETC. of any kind. The car is LOJACK equipped. The car still sports the original Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires from 2004, with about 6/32nds of tread left on all four. Original balance weights on the wheels and tires as well. No curb rash or major issues that I can see with the wheels, nice condition with normal wear. Clean and clear Carfax and auto check with no accidents. The car has a few minor modifications: aftermarket Exhaust, K&N drop in filter, Cart boy Short shifter, and an aftermarket CD player. For sale we have a 2004 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI. This STi was recently traded in at the Subaru dealer for a newer car. The car runs and drives like new. The 2.5L H4 SFI DOHC 16V motor starts right up with no issues. Very healthy and powerful motor that puts lots of power and lots of torque to all 4 wheels. The manual transmission shifts perfect, the clutch does not slip and the 6-speed tranny shifts thru all the gears as it should. The outside body is in great shape and the interior is in great shape as well. The tires are great, lots of tread left on them, the brembo brakes stop the car in a dime. Over all a very nice running sti that has been well cared after and it runs strong. Absolutely no lights on dash no service reminders no stories. I am selling my 2004 Subaru Wrx Sti. It was tuned by Clark Turner who is a well known tuner in Arizona with two maps on a Cobb accessport. One map is tuned with e85 and made 616awhp and 530 torque. The second map was tuned with 91 octane gas and made 460 awhp. The car was just inspected thoroughly for any leaks or issues. Oil is changed regularly at 3k miles by performance shop called Goodspeed located in Scottsdale Arizona. The car does not have air conditioning or a radio, but all the interior trim is still there. A few dings and light scratches are on the car but not very visible. First and foremost this car currently needs some work. I have spent the last 15 months putting this car together and when being mapped at the shop the car suddenly lost oil pressure and was turned off. The car idled for about 10 seconds max with no oil pressure. I think the problem may be a faulty oil pump. I have since dumped the oil and found no metal shavings in it. As of right now I have no motivation to invest anymore time or money into this car. This car had been sitting for several years with a blown engine. There is 44k miles on chassis and drivetrain.
