Looking to part ways with my S2000. I bought it completely stock from a middle-aged man February 2013. I am a Honda dealer certified mechanic, and have worked at Honda of Ocala for 3 years. This car is very maintained. Very clean interior. I bought the car without floor mats, so I bought some brand new ones directly from Honda. The front fenders are pulled pretty roughly, but the reason I did this is because I had planned on buying Circuit Garage' new over fenders. Up for sale is my 2002 Honda S2000 with less than 81,000 miles. Bought it to make it a track car but I have been caught up with work and haven't had any free time. This is a perfect project car. Car does need some work and does have minor issues. Car runs fine and I had it registered up until I stopped driving it 2 months ago because I was planning on getting motor work done to it. I am going to be completely honest here so I'm not wasting anyones time nor mine and list all the problems I have came across while owning this car:- AC leaks freon slowly- Rear bumper needs to be touch up, someone in the parking lot took a little bit of paint off. - EPS light on, most likely will need new steering rack.- Running engine codes for O2 sensors.- Has 2 minor rips in soft top, sealed with boat glue for temporary fix.- minor dings and scratches. I'll do my best to describe the car in great detail for you.Good condition inside and out. Stock car - no modifications at all. Very clean car.Mechanically in great conditionEngine compression 240+ across all four cylinders. (I have the videos uploaded if you want to see them)Had odometer replaced somewhere around 70k miles. Carfax report in hand showing the mileage at the time it was replaced and now.Based on the carfax report, I believe there to be a maximum of ~170k miles on the car today. That said, there may be less miles than that.Clean title in handPassed California Smog and ready for salePassenger side has 5 marks along the side of the door. Trunk has a ding in it. Front bumper has scratches and normal highway driving road rash.Interior is in good condition. Seats have very little wear on them. Air conditioning blows cold.Convertible top has a few patches on it (normal with these tops)Stock radio with radio code.Tires have about 50% tread left.Brake pads have about 60% life left.Car runs GREAT! Why on the world would ANYONE want to buy a 13 year old car with only 26,000 – 36,000 miles on it? Would the seals be good or would they be drying out? Would the tires have ever been changed – or would they still be the original set (susceptible to dry rot)? Oil changed what? Once per year? (When oil drains completely into the sump while sitting for months on end not being driven, is the engine susceptible to excessive wear upon start-up because of “metal to metal” friction)? Wouldn't you rather purchase a car that’s been regularly driven and regularly serviced. If that’s what you’re looking for – THIS CAR’S FOR YOU. This garage kept S2000 is in excellent shape. It runs like a brand new car! Handles magnificently. Plenty of tread on the tires. No bruises or scratches on the wheels. New convertible top. Recently replaced rear brakes with Wagner Quiet Discs. Mostly original car (although radio has been upgraded to remote controlled CD/DVD player & yes, it does play DVD’s while moving). As you might expect from a car with 142K miles, there are a few minor dings (I’ve pictured them for all to see). There are only a few and they are MINOR! I absolutely love this car … (It’s NOT a daily driver for me - I have 2 other cars, 2 motorcycles, a golf cart and a power bike – so SOMETHING’S gotta go! And, this is the transport the wife deemed “expendable".) If you’re looking for a great deal – a sound car for a reasonable price, this is it! Many more pics available.
