Up for sale is a 2000 Viper RT/10 with 22,000 miles. Let’s get the “Salvage Title” out of the way first: On May 24th of 2014 the owner slipped the clutch and put the back end into a guard rail. Now that sounds terrible until you see the pictures. The Right Rear Fender, the Rear Deck Lid, and the Rear Bumper were gouged, along with the Right Rear Tail Light being broken (we have printed pictures of the damage). The repair costs were under $5000. According to CARFAX, a car is put into a Salvage Title Situation if there is 75% damage to the retail value of the vehicle…At the time of the damage, it was a $40,000 car, and if you look at the pictures, there is no way the damage amounted to $30,000.
