Bad crank bearings, cracked rear bumper, needs new glove compartment or lock for old one, all four inner door panels are missing, three windows don't work - need new motors and actuators. BMW 525i touring wagon. Cashmere beige metallic with pergament/parchment bison leather interior. Everything works (A/C, heater, power windows, original radio/stereo system, etc.). The interior is in nice condition, with average wear for the car's age. The driver's seat has a tear. Rear passenger door on driver's side does not unlock. We've never had the sunroof open; the previous owner told us it doesn't close once open. There is a spiderweb crack in the windshield on the passenger side, about 11x20". The car has had regular maintenance. New front brake rotors. Very good tires (2 years old). The brake master cylinder and rear brakes were recently re-done. It's been a great, smooth freeway car for me for the past 6 years. But it now has an occasional issue where it feels like the engine wants to cut out for a split second, when coming to a stop or starting from a stop. This only happens once in a great while. The engine does not actually cut out, and I've been able to just keep driving right after this occurs. I just made a trip in it to SFO and back this past week. But I have a newer BMW wagon and don't want to put the time into diagnosing and repairing this one. Due to this, it's being sold for parts or repair. The car passed smog in March. But it will not be smogged for the sale, as it is being sold for parts or repair. Clear title in-hand. Registration is paid and up-to-date till March 2016. Please send a message with any questions. Awfernald Store 1995 BMW 540i/6  1/3203 Built, 1524 Imported to North America, only 187 finished in Schwarz II on Parchment Factory Alusil M60B40 Engine (4.0L DOHC 32V V8, Aluminum Block & Head)  Factory Getrag 420G 6-Speed Manual Transmission I'm the second owner. The car was built 9/1/95 and delivered 2/21/96. I have a large stack of receipts from the previous owner (Approx. $22k in maintenance). All of which was performed by Doc's Bimmer Shop of Oxford, MS. I've invested approx. $9k in mods & maintenance myself. I have documentation on a lot of it. However, it's nowhere near as thorough and complete as the previous owner's documentation. The car is mechanically sound. I've used it as my daily driver up until recently when I imported a car from Japan. The car does show some cosmetic wear on the interior & exterior (much less than most 20 year old cars with almost 150k miles on them). I do still drive the car on occasion, so the mileage might increase slightly. The car is also for sale locally so I may pull the listing at any time. Engine was replaced under warranty (free) at 65,168 miles with an Alusil Block. The work was done 5/23/00 by Hendrick Motors of Hickory, NC. The plastic thread on the end of the cruise control cable recently broke. Due to this, the cruise control won't function. You'll have to replace the entire cable but it's relitively cheap ($36.63 from BMW of South Atlanta). Part # 65718356479. Included but not pictured are the ignition coil covers, owner's manual, new rear toe links, new Bosch O2 Sensor, B800 SRS Tool, & Service Light Tool (used to reset the oil change light).  ? New cabin filter.Work done at 135,923=New valve cover gasket, serpentine belt, engine air filter, trans service, spark plugs, fuel filter, air boot, iac hose, guibo, trans output shaft seal, both trans mounts, shifter shaft seal, complete aux fan with shroud, facbs from M5,Done at 142,934 miles=Mobile 1 oil change.Currently the only issues are; Front bumper (replacement) is primed, I hit a small snow bank in PA last winter cracking the bottom of the original. I really didnt mind it mind primed. A brake pulsation, and the headliner material has peeled back a little from the edges around the trunk.
