This is a recently completed truck with a shop truck/rat rod look! Longbed model done in Satin Black urethane from Eastwood with professionally done old school hot rod pin striping and hand painted shop logos on the doors. This project started with a clean Arizona truck(originally titled in AZ in 1968) that was 99% rust free. The outer rockers have been replaced which is common for these trucks even in the desert. The interior is fresh and clean with new black carpet on top of Dynamat. New seat belts. New instrument cluster bezel and lens. New heater controls. New interior door handles and window handles. New glove box liner and functioning light. New kick panels. New reproduction tilt steering column from CCP with a new 14" Grant steering wheel. The tilt column and smaller wheel make this truck very comfortable to drive even for bigger guys(like myself). New B&M Unimatic floor shifter that's easy to reach from the driver's seat. New Pioneer CD receiver with detachable face, MP3 jack and remote. Two 3.5" speakers from Sound Ordinance under the dash and 6.5" Pioneer speakers in the doors. Wiring to the door speakers is run through late model rubber conduits in the door jamb for a clean look. While not a high amp, bass pounding system it produces great sound that gets loud enough to overcome the road and exhaust noise in the cab while staying clear and clean. All of the glass is good! All new window rubber installed. New door window felt and new door seals as well! New rubber around the filler neck as well. New grille trim, bowtie emblem, headlight bezels and hood letters from LMC. New fender emblems from LMC. New front and rear chrome bumpers with new license plate light in back. New amber front parking light lens', new side marker lens' and new back up and tail light lens' as well. Tail lights have blue dot inserts. The truck is powered by a freshly rebuilt 350 with a mild RV cam that starts right up and runs great! New Edelbrock carb on top of a GM aluminum intake. Chrome Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner. New water pump. Headers and a dual exhaust seystem that exits between the back of the cab and the rear wheels and sounds great! New chrome pulleys and accessory brackets. New high performance flex fan. New battery. New aluminum radiator with new 5" chrome shroud. New brake booster and master cylinder. Overall the engine bay is pristine with lots of chrome! Underneath this truck had been redone with lots of new parts for years of reliability! New red polyurethane bushings from Prothane installed. Truck has been lowered 3" in the back and 1" in the front with new springs and shocks from CCP. New McGautry's front disc brake 6 lug spindles with new calipers from CCP. This is not a truck with a salvage yard disc brake conversion from a '71-2, these are new components and this truck stops on a dime! All ball joints, tie rods, tie rod adjusters, u-joints and control arm shafts replaced with new components from Moog! This truck has an awesome level stance and drives and rides like a new truck thanks to all new suspension parts! Chevy 12 bolt rear end with 3.55 gears. New chrome rear cover installed and front pinon seal has been replaced as well. The gears were inspected and looked great. The rear end is filled with fresh grease and in leak free! The truck is riding on red steelies wrapped in new wide white walls from Coker! Polished out OE chevy dog dish caps complete the look. Overall this is a solid, great running truck with an awesome look! I've brought it to a few cruise ins and it gets lots of looks and compliments! This truck was built for comfort and reliability. The body, while overall straight with good lines in not perfect. There are the typical dents along the bed rails and the tailgate is not perfectly straight. The paint is not perfect but this truck was done to capture a shop truck/rat rod look. The truck is available to inspect in person in the NW Phoenix area.
