For sale is a 1987 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si. I am going to start off by saying this car runs and drives good (with the exception of a rough idle at times) and has never died on me to the point where I was stranded and couldn't get it started again. It is a great island beater and I had been driving it from November of 2011 up until about August of 2013. A few minor issues (which I will talk about further down the post) and laziness on my part caused the safety and registration to expire, which is why I no longer drive it every day. However, I do take it out for a drive every weekend to make sure it stays in good running condition. It has just under 111,000 miles on the odometer. The only reason I am selling is because my wife and I are having a baby very soon and I needed to upgrade to an SUV. Even though I would love to continue to drive this car, I sadly cannot. It has power windows and sunroof. I bought new tires about a year and a half to two years ago and tread life is at 70% or better. Within the last year, I have replaced: - The front rotors and brake pads - The high-pressure power steering hose - The low-pressure power steering hoses leading into and out of the power steering reservoir - Spark plugs and wires - Distributor cap and rotor I also have the brake pads for the rear brakes (never got around to replacing them) Those minor issues I was talking about above are: - Loud exhaust caused by a hole/holes in the exhaust line somewhere (reason #1 they wouldn't pass me for safety) I had bought some tiger tape to wrap around the holes but never got around to that either. - Faulty brake lights (never figured out what the issue was here, maybe electrical? but this is reason #2 they wouldn't pass the safety check) - Water leaks into trunk - A/C doesn't work (it didn't work when I bought it, I just never took it in to get it fixed because I drive with the windows down anyway) If you are interested, after everything I just explained, give me a call or send me a text and we can arrange a time for you to come look at the car. I am asking $1500, cash only. Again, I would love to keep this car and get current safety and registration on it because it is very fun to drive, I just don't have the time or the space to keep it. By the way, it would not take much to get these issues taken care of and get the safety and registration current. And none of these issues affect the driveability of the car.
