THE M3!! Recently acquired by the Pfaff Auto Group Collection is this mint 1990 BMW (E30) M3. Born from Motorsports for Motorsports the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the most successful sedan in motorsports history. Being the third M car to come from Munich it was also the most changed and homologated BMW ever released. To ensure entry into the various series the car raced in BMW had to bring to market a near version of the sports coupe to the road. Based off the E30 3 series introduced in 1982 the M3 went through extensive modifications. Starting with the exterior the front and rear fenders were flared out immensely to increase the track, the front bumper cover took on a deep air damn, flush fog lights and lower chin spoiler to increase downforce, the bigger 15” wheels were housed by larger Pirelli Tires and the rear window was installed with a reduced rake which led to the higher trunk lid and large rear spoiler. The look was unbelievable and took the automotive world by storm. Moving to the chassis the M3 was fitted with a revised suspension as well. The stiffer springs and heavy duty shocks reduced the ride height while increasing the cornering ability, to reduce the body roll the bigger sway bars were installed to keep the M3’s weight in check. Larger brakes also made their way on to the track inspired road car completing this beautiful package. Lastly the powertrain received the type of changes we all dream of. The S14 2.3L 4 cylinder engine was a derivative of the same engine that powered Nelson Piquet to the 1983 Formula 1 Championship in the Brabham BMW! Designed by resident BMW engine guru Paul Rosche in road car configuration of the S14 featured 4 valves per cylinder driven by dual overhead cams, individual throttle bodies and produced a healthy 195hp with 170 ft. lbs of torque. It was mated to BMW’s signature 5 speed transmission and transferred to the rear wheels through a 4.10 Limited Slip Differential. This recipe results in one of the most iconic road cars in motoring history and widely regarded as one of the best drivers cars the world has ever seen! The example we have here is a Toronto native and lived its entire life in southern Ontario. Bought new from Beach Auto in downtown Toronto’s east end it was put on the road on November 27th, 1989. Finished in what is believed to be the best colour combination of Brilliant Red on a Black leather interior. Options include Sunroof, onboard computer, 3 spoke steering wheel and dealer installed car phone. The car was acquired with its second set of tires being the classic P700Z tyres showing the true patina of this remarkable example. The condition of the car is close to perfect with zero modifications other than the new Bilstein shocks and H&R springs installed by us. The stock Springs accompany the car. Recent Service includes oil change, spark plugs replacement, MAF sensor, fuel pumps and new brakes. The car comes with both keys, all books, fool took kit, spare tire and jack and radio code card. Just the third Ferrari in history to carry the GTO moniker the Ferrari 599 GTO embodied the true essence of what it is to be a GTO. Starting with the engine, The Tipo F140 C V12 got all the beans with a power output of 661 hp and redline of 8300rpm. The Transmission calibration received additional tweaks as well giving the GTO quicker shifts with sharper rev matching and clutch engagement. Ferrari then looked towards the suspension where the GTO received stiffer shocks and springs, with thicker sway bars and specially made bushings throughout. From there additional work was put into the braking system where the GTO received Carbon Ceramic discs, big monoblock calipers and special air intakes around the discs designed to capture turbulent air the wheels create while in rotation. With all the hardware in place the next and last place to improve on was the aesthetics of this very special low production vehicle. The 599 GTO received special lower side skirts, rear diffuser and front chin spoiler and special front hood with air vents to help the V12 with perspiration. The final product looks the part and certainly performs as well. The GTO was able to lap Fioranos race track over 1 sec quicker than the Enzo hyper car. All this from a Grand Touring sized V12 Ferrari!! The beautiful example we have here is finished in Rosso Fuoco over black leather/Alcantara Interior. It has the full dry carbon lower side skits and rockers, gloss carbon front chin spoiler, and dry Carbon rear diffuser. The dry gray finish roof and C-pillars add great detail to this monster car while a beautiful set of gloss black wheels over yellow calipers complete the look. The Ford GT’s roots date back to the 1960’s when Fords attempt to buy Ferrari fell through, this was the catalyst as Ford was offended by Mr. Ferrari’s decision to keep the company private. In reaction to losing the Italian mark Ford decided that if we can’t own them, then we’ll beat them…on race the race track. Through the beginning of the 60’s Ferrari was dominating Le Mans with 6 consecutive victories from 1960 to 1965. When the Mk1 GT40 was entered into the 1966 there was much speculation surrounding the car however the sports car layout was promising. The car was all about the new technology of the time, magnesium and aluminum ruled the materials list and the car featured a very European mid-engine, rear drive configuration. Needless to say it took the fight at Le Mans very seriously by winning 4 consecutive 24 hour races from 66-69. With Ferrari beaten the GT40’s mission was accomplished. Fast forward to the early 2000’s and Ford was in the mood to revive the classic racer into a road going Super Car. The GT’s first official appearance as a concept car was 2002 in Detroit, loosely based on the 1995 concept GT90. The look was very similar to the original GT40, however dimensionally it grew to accommodate new legislation for safety and construction. Production started in 2003 and the first 2005 model year cars were delivered in mid-2004. The original plan was to produce 4500 units for the world over 2 years however it ended at 4030 cars. The build of the GT was nothing short of Super. The Aluminum frame was built with rigidity, weight and safety in mind. Aluminum subframes cradled the front suspension and rear suspension. The 5.4L Modular DOHC V8 had a Twin Screw Blower strapped to it producing 550hp, the engine was mated to F1 transmission builder Riccardo’s 6 speed unit with a Limited Slip Differential. Performance for the time was really tough to top. 0-60 came in 3.5 sec., quarter mile in 11.2 sec and a top speed of 205mph. This performance is still relevant today even when compared to most dual clutch equipped cars on the market. Just Astounding! The car we have here is a 2006 Ford GT Finished in Tungsten Grey Metallic paint over Ebony Leather Interior. It’s 1 of 20 vehicles worldwide finished in Tungsten Grey with stripe delete option and of course the last model year. Options include the lightweight magnesium BBS wheels and red calipers. Our example originated from Jim Keay Ford out of Ottawa. The car spent the bulk of her life in Ontario preserved with just 4000 miles from its few collector owners. When it comes to American cars I’m pretty selective and in case you haven’t noticed, I’m kind of a Ford guy so it brings me great pleasure to offer this very special collector grade Mustang. The Cobra R came to be when SVT teamed up with Jack Roush to build a competition car with very limited production. Based off the Terminator Cobra body this Mustang received very special components as listed in the “R” package. The Tremec T56 6 speed was fitted with close ration gears, a high performance side exit exhaust was installed, 18x9.5 squared aluminium wheels with BF Goodrich tires, Brembo high performance braking system, HD monotube shocks, lower and stiffer springs, HD aluminium radiator, HD power steering cooler, 21 Gallon fuel cel, hi-capacity fuel pump, Recaro Seats and lastly delete of the following items; AC, cruise control, rear seats and sound deadners. The package was then complimented with the mighty Tritan dual overhead cam V8 producing a very healthy 385hp giving this Cobra serious performance. 0-60 in under 5 sec, quarter mile in 13.2 and a top speed over 170mph. With all the hardware in place SVT then looked to the aero balance of this track monster with the additions of a front spoiler installed with Zeus fasteners for quick removal and a rear adjustable wing. With SVT trying to maintain the exclusivity of this high performance Track version of the Mustang, then SVT director John Coletti agreed to the super limited run of just 300 cars produced for the world. The car we have here is a collector grade example with a distance of just 380 miles from new. It was in new car inventory as part of the owners collection at Langford Ford in Labelle Florida. There the car received light service during its storage and preservation. The car was then bought by one of our customers and brought up into Ontario where it received a major service from Markville Ford and he enjoyed a short term ownership putting about 65 miles on the car.
