2008 Ford Escape XLS 4DR $4,900 OBO I purchased this vehicle four years ago from a dealership here in Maryland. It has been a wonderful family car and I am honestly having a hard time letting it go. I just had my second child, so my wife and I have decided to purchase a van instead. I am a non-smoker and the previous owner did not smoke either. It is all time 4WD, which means it drives like a dream in the snow as well as on ice. I also had it equipped with the electric start option (see picture) and keyless entry, which is great in the winter, as well as the summer. Nothing beats getting in a warm car when it is freezing outside and vice versa when it is hot out. That ran me approximately $550.00 and has a range of 900 feet. When I had the electric start installed, I also had it tinted all the way around (including the windshield strip) with Raven brand tint, which cost me about $375, as well as installed the tinted rain guards on all four windows. The vehicle has 160,000 miles on it, but the engine only has 130,000. I had a new engine put in it about a month after I bought it. It runs great and drives extremely smooth. My best friend owns a shop so I have had the maintenance done on it religiously since I have owned it. I actually had the oiled changed today, as well as had all the fluids topped off while he was at it. The truck is 8 years old so of course it has its minor dings and scratches, but nothing seriously noticeable or sore on the eye. I have kept the inside extremely clean and have always kept pride in all the vehicles I own. I am looking to sell my very clean 98 jetta tdi. The car has 211,000 miles, but if you are familiar with diesels that isnt even close to high miles. The car runs and looks excellent, I consistently get 47-50 mpg (my worst was 42). The body started out as a 2.0l gas wolfsburg, my tdi was really rusty so I swapped the drivetrain to a real sweet body. The car has had a lot of new parts within the last 4 months including new brakes all the way around (rotors and pads) new timkin wheel bearings on all 4 corners new tie rods new ball joints new tires (last week) alignment (last week) new axles (both sides) new water pump new thermostat new radiator new condenser new timing belt (20,000 miles ago) new battery new oil pan gasket new n75 valve (boost control valve) new emergency brake cables new windshield new window regulators The car also has some aftermarket parts including h&r lowering springs straight pipe exhaust ( not much louder then stock but did gain mpg) mk5 jetta interlagos heated seats (heaters do work very well) european code dual chamber headlights with hid european code foglights and markers red stitched leather e brake and shifter knob and boots I am sure I am missing some stuff, but the car has been very well cared for. I painted the car in november the factory red bottom with a black with red pearl overlay roof. I have also changed the oil every 5,000 miles with liquid moly synthetic oil and mann fuel and oil filters.
