Condition: Used Exterior color: B5 blue Interior color: Blue Transmission: Automatic Fule type: Gasoline Engine: 8 Drivetrain: Automatic Vehicle title: Clear Body type: Sedan DESCRIPTION: This is a 1973 Plymouth Fury III with the original 360 V8. I am the second and fourth owner of it, so Ive had it a total of about 8 years. It has been across the country 5 times with me in all kinds of weather with zero breakdowns. Ive put many new parts in it over the years including a transmission and 4-bbl carb. I replaced the camshaft and timing chain when I went to a 4 bbl (at about 90,000mi). Currently the car has dual side-exit exhaust pipes with 8" glasspacks. It is very loud. I set it up this way because we used it as the crew car in 2013 for the world land speed record holder 52 Buick of Rocket Heads Racing. Go big or go home! The Fury runs and drives and rolls out smoothly like the land yacht it is. Although I dont drive it much now, it is a driver car and has been its whole life. There are dings and dents, rust, the original paint is flaking off, seat tears, you know. Its 41 years old and the 3rd owner who drove it every day had a family with a bunch of kids. Ive thoroughly enjoyed owning this car (so much that I bought it back from the 3rd owner) but Ive got other projects piling up and this one isnt getting the love it needs. The last photo shows what it looked like before I sold it the first time and how it could look again with a little work. It would also make a great police car clone. The center console on the floor is not included. The problems right now are a sticky right front brake caliper (I have a replacement caliper and pads, goes with the car), and there is a coolant leak that Im pretty sure is coming from a freeze plug at the back of the engine. That would require separating the engine and trans which is a big job. A local shop has quoted me about $350 to do it, nearly all of which is labor. I cant see any problems driving it shorter distances, but I would strongly recommend getting that coolant leak fixed if youre going to take it cross country. That one is not an easy fix on the side of the road. The bad brake caliper is not stuck on but it does pull hard when braking. Im used to it and Ive driven worse. Tires are ok and dont leak but they are old. Ive put about 5,000mi on them including at over 100mph and they were fine.
