This is a Ford F250 freezer truck custom built by ColdCar coldcarusa.com/products/standard-bodies in the 2x2 format. The back is frozen and gets down to -20 degrees and beyond. The compressor sits outside the vehicle. The way you use this is that you freeze the truck, then disconnect from the compressor and then drive your frozen merchandise around. During 100 degrees summer days the truck stays frozen all day so it can be re-frozen overnight. This way:- the back of truck stays at frozen temperatures- your gas mileage isnt affected since you are not lugging the heavy compressor around all the time. Besides it has 4 doors do that when you are off-loading frozen merchandise from one area the other 3 doors remain closed and not losing coldness. In our experience this is the best way to do frozen transportation because it doesn't compromise on the compressor strength AND doesn't compromise on mileage, coldness. We have an ice cream delivery business and the frozen temperature requirements are pretty stringent and this truck delivers the consistent frozen temperature over hours as we need.

I bought the car in 1995 as an off-lease vehicle with 20,000 and have held onto it for almost 20 years. Engine runs strong -- never have an issue with stalling or being unreliable. No issue with transmission. Has all parts --nothing has been stripped from the vehicle. Last year had an exhaust leak and a fuel that was leak fixed. Tires are a few years old and have approximately 20,000 miles on them -- have legal tread on them. Struts and coolant pump replaced several years ago. The car runs and handles fine. It did however recently fail a safety inspection due to corrosion on the frame around the area where the rear suspension sits. I would still hold on to it if not for the failed inspection. Some repair shops recommending welding the frame -- others expressed concern about the thinness of the metal. Another recommendation was to replace the suspension piece (used). Used as a 2nd car for the past 8 years to run to the beach and transport my kayaks. I limited my use of the car from April to Nov each year and put 7,000 to 11,000 miles each year. Given the other issues below and future "unknowns" I have decided to reluctantly part with the vehicle. What follows is a list of problems with the car of which I am aware. I am being as detailed as possible as to make all prospective buyers aware of the condition and known issues with the car as I do not want to waste anyone's time or my own. Frame corrosion around rear suspension points E-brake does not work in holding the car at idol AC does not work Heater -- only produces warm air not hot ABS -- does not work (sensor bad) Check Engine Light is on Leaks Oil around the engine compartment but I never had to add oil between changes Leaks Coolant (most evident when colder) had to fill occasionally Power steering fluid leak (most noticeable leak = especially when colder outdoor temperatures arrive) I've been told it leaks brake fluid (although I have not had to add fluid and have not noticed this to be an issue yet) Some corrosion / rust on the rocker panel and around gas tank. Passenger side door (outside handle is missing) Gas tank door cover missing. Leather seats are torn / ripped on seat area. Dashboard is dry and cracked. Overall the car is in fair to poor condition and definitely shows its age. Car was involved in an accident about 10 years ago -- crumpled hood and air bag deployment. Hood and air bags / sensors were replaced -- no other issues as a result of the accident. Paint is peeling and chipping on hood as a result of sub-par paint job. I have already priced out salvage prices for the car and was offered $150 to $200 for the vehicle with no questions asked. Due to the inspection rejection sticker and the fact that I am selling the vehicle for parts only I am not looking to provide extended test drives to prospective car buyers. Please keep this in mind and the overall condition of the car detailed above when considering contacting me about the vehicle.

I no longer have the money/space to maintain it to my likings.The car originated in Seattle Washington where the owner kept it in a garage rarely driving it. The car was then sold to a man in California. I then purchased the vehicle in the summer of 2008 with 90,000 miles. When I bought the car it had a cold start problem. I had to replace the reluctor wheel in the distributor and ever since then I have not had any issues with it starting. The car recently received new front control arms and tie rods because of old age. The handling of the car was improved greatly as a result and they should last for another hundred thousand miles. The interior of the car is very clean. I added a Blaupunkt stereo with built in Bluetooth as well as replaced the two rear speakers. The seats are very comfortable made out of a tan leather and purple stitching. The rest of the interior is Brown and Black. The dashboard also has some small cracks in it. A previous owner had the car repainted. A small section at the bottom left of the rear window is starting to peel however it is not very noticeable. On the trunk the paint is slightly cracked. Overall the car still feels very solid for a 34 year old vehicle (it was manufactured in 1980). It currently has over 120,000 miles. The clutch easily has another 50,000 miles in it. The car was used as a daily driver for about six years until I moved and bought a new car. There are no strange shakes and rattles and it is surprisingly reliable in the snow. Although the transmission does perform just fine, the first and second gear synchros are slightly worn requiring a little more force to engage when accelerating quickly. The gears do not crunch however you will be able to tell the transmission has 120,000 miles on it.This vehicle will make a perfect first car or a great project car for anyone who wants to dive into easy to work on BMWs. I have included all the paperwork from the previous owners as well as a book on wiring diagrams for the vehicle. Below is a list of some of the minor problems with the car.Minor wheel arch rust as seen in photos as well as a couple of chips on the front from debris during everyday use and a small scratch from a door ding. Minor cracking on trunk.No visible engine oil leaks, add about a quart of oil per 500 miles. The driver side interior upper handle broke off as it was made of plastic (see photo). Air conditioning and heat both work. Air conditioning could use a recharge soon. The compressor pump gets stuck in the on position and condensation tends to build up in the fan. The drainage is clogged. I did not use the air conditioning much. Reverse lights turn on only half the time. Installed a switch underneath and to the right of the steering column to activate them manually. Rear defroster switch is stuck in "on" position. The O2 sensor light came on signaling it needs to be replaced however it does not affect how the car runs. Rear windows don't work (switch related), the passenger window needs help coming all the way up in cold weather. Sunroof fuse keeps blowing. Stopped using it altogether.
