This is a 5 speed, manual transmission Mazda 6 S. It does start and run, but has some engine problems. The check engine light came on while driving, and it starting to hesitate a little bit when starting off. Long story short the dealer says they believe the engine has jumped time and would need an engine replacement. It's running, but has codes for Camshaft being out of time so it is misfiring on 3 cylinders... As I said, the car does run and can be driven. What you'll notice is that you have to rev it up a second or two longer (or step on it a bit harder) before it accelerates when first starting out. Once you get going it seems fine, but you can definitely feel a difference at low RPMs. The transmission and other mechanicals are fine. The body is in decent shape and is a good looking car. If I had the tools and time, I would just swap out a used engine myself, but I don't have an engine hoist or enough mechanical know how to do an engine swap. Only other issues I'm aware of... The radio digital guage goes in and out at times. Will probably need a new radio unit soon... The ceiling upholstery is starting to slightly droop. Small slash in driver front seat Good car, has good horsepower. I wish I could fix it myself and save it, but I just can't, and don't want to pay $4,000 for a brand new engine. Thanks,

Thank You for looking at my 1978 Pace Car Corvette. The car is in overall good condition and I like you always wanted one. It is a low mileage original condition car with correct components. The only real deviation would be a professionally installed real dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers, which comes out the stock location and is not loud at all. Engine starts and runs smooth and idles perfect. Transmission shifts very well with smooth, but quick shifts, as you would expect from a low mileage car. The engine oil was changed recently with synthetic oil with air and oil filter and air cleaner filter changed. Trans fluid was also just changed along with the trans filter. Tires are in overall very good condition as are the wheels with no scratches or road rash visable. The brakes are very good with no pulling etc. The interior is in overall good condition with carpet being clean and seats in good overall condition. A very straight clean car. The only minor issues, somewhat typical for these year corvettes are as follows, the headlights are slow to come up and sometimes need a little help. The electric antenna has been replaced with a new unit, but has not been hooked up electrically. The wiper switch on the dash works, but is loose. I am looking at these small issues and am attending to them as the auction goes on. This is a very low reserve auction and I have tried to describe the car as straight forward as possible.
