1973 Plymouth Barracuda FOR SALE Project car. Partially disassembled. Bodywork started. Have broadcast sheet. Originally a 318 cu.in. engine. Automatic on the floor/console. Original engine and transmission long gone. Included is a rebuilt 1977 - 440cu.in. motor home short block, 38,000 orig. miles and a used 1971 - A727 Torqueflite transmission and a set of closed chambered heads, casting # 2406516-8. Details below. Car has complete black vinyl interior (presently removed) but missing drivers side door panel. All door and window handles and visors, orig. headliner, coat hooks, seatbelts, trim, etc. included. Front bucket seats need re-upholstery. Rear seat has a few splits. Rear seat back is good. Center console good shape with T shifter, handle missing. Dash good shape.(Presently removed) Dash pad is cracked. Steering wheel, column and steering box complete with steering pump. (Presently removed). No key for ignition. All glass is presently removed with only the windshield missing, broken on removal. Body is solid except rear half of trunk floor needs to be replaced along with bottom of rear quarter panels. Need skin patches at bottom rear of pass. fender and front of wheel pass. quarter panel. Both fenders need a little work where hood hinges attach. Bottom of doors have a little rust. Solid frame, engine bay, firewall, floor pan, rocker panels, etc. No rust around windows or roof. One small rust hole at trunk opening corner. Trunk lid has rust holes on underside corners. Has Go Wing, good condition. Hood is in good shape, sanded to bare metal and primed, no bondo, includes both scoops and inserts %26 hinges. Front grille is good but missing drivers side chrome molding. Headlights are complete with bezels. Lower front valance, sanded and primed. Lower front valance insert with fog lamps is missing along with front bumper but have the two front bumper guards. Rear is 8 with 2.76 gears. Taillights are complete except small chrome outer rings. Side marker lenses, front and rear, and assemblies complete and not cracked or broken. Rebuilt (Blue Printed to 1971 specs) I received it on 8-13-06, oiled and bagged. It remains the same. Date Code: 7-18-77, casting # 400630-440-8 . 2 bolt main caps, casting # 2128866. Standard bore (Honed and cross hatched). 9.7 to 1 Compression with stock heads. Original crankshaft, casting # 3751888-2 , turned .10 under. Original dished topped pistons, turned backwards. Original wrist pins and connecting rods, casting # 1453049. No cam, lifters, pushrods or oil pan.Transmission - Used 1971 A727 Torqueflite . No dipstick.Heads - Casting # 2406516-8.
