The car had been traded in by the second owner on a pre-owned car. The second owner babied the car and it had been garage kept. I purchased the car as a weekend car to drive to local car shows, Sunday drives, and an occasional trip to the beach. I had looked long and hard for this car and this car was just what I was looking for. I have put less that 2,000 miles on the car in the last 4 years and due to a health issue in my family, I have decided to sell it.The car needs nothing – Just get in and drive anywhere. It runs and drives like a new car. The top is new. The weather-stripping around the convertible top is original and is in excellent condition with only one area showing wear. The white vinyl seats, door panels, and convertible top boot are in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The remaining black interior trim is also in excellent condition.This would be great car for anyone to use it like I did or even as a first-car for a new driver. Anyone would be proud to drive this car. It looks like a new car but does not have that new car price.

Mileage at Time of Purchase by current owner in March, 2006 - 30,776Current Mileage - June, 2014 - 30,951 THE CAR IS ORIGINAL AND UNRESTORED.The car was always garage kept, maintained by a local California mechanic and was never subject to any neglect. This car was not in the need of any restoration but some of the original trim was replaced with NOS trim. The (2) piece hub caps were replaced with NOS sport wheel covers. The lower front cowl was repainted due to poor adhesion of the original paint to the primer. The bumper fillers were replaced with the best used ones available and repainted to match the original paint. The water pump and timing belt were also replaced. After all of this work was done, the car only needed fine detailing to bring to show car standards.THIS IS A MUSUEM-QUALITY CAR AND WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO ANYONE'S CAR COLLECTION.SHOW CAR OR DAILY DRIVER?I have been collecting original and unrestored cars since the 1980's and I consider this to be one of the best cars that I have found. In my opinion, I consider this car to be a show car and not a daily driver.KNOWN MECHANICAL ISSUESI also want to disclose that I know of (3) mechanical issues with the car. First, the car does have a small hole in the muffler. It was most likely caused by the lack of use. Since the hole is not too bad, I have not replaced it. Second, the tires are like new but seem to have 'hard spots' which may be causing a vibration at about 40 mph. I was also told that it be may be a bushing in the rear axle extension. I did purchase a rebuilt rear axle extension but have not installed it. The rebuilt rear axle extension will be included with the purchase of the car. Third, the 'CHECK ENGINE' emissions light does come on occasionally. It is most likely caused by the lack of use also. Since the car runs fine I have not investigated the cause of this issue.
