The car is complexly stock, except for wheel spacers on all four corners. The car drives like new and is extremely clean. Always washed and waxed twice yearly with Sonax Polymer Netsheild. The wheels have some minor curb rash and there are some small rock chips and scratches, indicative of its age. It took me over a year to find this car in this color combination in a stick. It is one of few for sale in the country in this configuration. With that being said I have invested a fair amount of time and effort into securing this car and as much as I would like to keep it, it has to go. 1 am selling my 1969 Cougar XR7 convertible that is almost finish. Just needs a few things to make it right. The engine is a 351w 4 Brl pushing about 340 hp. It was rebuilt 2 year ago and it only has 15 miles on the engine since, a new Edlebrock performance carb. (I have the original Holly and it goes with it), Headers, new full front to back exhaust with flow masters, new cams and rolling rockers, polished Valve covers, new water pump and fuel pump, new fuel tank and lines, new brakes all around, staggered new American racing wheels and tires, new chromed bumpers and rear tail light bezels, back seat upholstered, re-finished front grill, the whole under carriage and trunk was sand blasted primed and undercoated, and a lot of extra parts go with it. It needs the driver seat to be upholstered, the trunk lid mold, (2) eye brow moldings, air canister so the flip up lights stay closed, both door gaskets, And fuel sending unit. 1991 BMW M5 with 106k miles on the odo. This rebuild cost $8500 plus shipping. Displacement was increased by about 200 cc to 3.7 liters by boring and stroking the engine. The car has a Dinan chip and current horsepower should be in the 360 to 370 range. At the same time, a new clutch kit, exhaust cam gear and thermostat were installed. The mileage on the car at the time of the engine upgrade was 62,000. The engine has now 46k trouble free miles since the rebuild. As you may or may not know, the 91s came with a 3.91:1 final drive instead of the taller final drive (3.73:1) of the later cars. This also enhances the acceleration of the car compared to later versions. This was done by previous owner (2nd owner). I have the service papers for this rebuild. The motor starts up and runs well. The body is in good condition. No rust that I know of on the body. The front end has lots of rock chip from highway driving over the years. Rooftop and mirrors are showing the paint damage by sun. The interior is in good shape as well. It has typical leather peeling off from the door cards due to glue losing its adhesive strength. The driver seat has the most wear of all seats in the car, but in good shape. Everything inside works except for the radio. The radio may be needing the code to work again. There are few modifications done to the M5;-UUC short shifter kit with double sheer rod for best feel betweens shifts-Transmission mounts upgraded-Koni Yellows Sport with lowering springs (removed SLS in the rear)-Rare MOMO steering wheel with hub adapter (SRS light is on because of steering wheel)-New Hankook tires -The A/C system has been converted to r134a system-Racing dynamic strut bar by Turner Motorsport The M5 has a rebuilt title which is the way the previous owner got the car. All four doors and the trunk lid are the original body parts based on VIN tags attached to each. There is no such tag could be found on the front hood, so this could be replacement panel. It is believed that the person previous owner bought the car from, who kept it for at least two years, wrote inflated repair estimate that allowed the first owner to total the car and collect insurance from the car.
