I bought this explorer to use as an off road plow truck. Once I got it home and did a full inspection, I feel its in too good of shape for my original plans. This explorer was used by a local municipality and they repainted red to match the rest of their vehicles. Besides a rust spot by the rear passenger side door (see pic) the body is in good condition for its age/use. It does have small dents and paint chips here and there. The interior is clean. The center console looks to be out of a new explore. The power outlets work in it and it fits nicely. It has power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control, CD/Tape deck and AC. Everything works as it should. The tires are great and the rims look clean. Looking under the car it does have a new muffler and tail pipe. This explorer has an automatic transmission and is four wheel drive with the 4.0 V6. The four wheel drive and transmission work great. The only mechanical issue that was advertised when I bought it and I found was the timing chain has started to make noise intermittently upon start up and sometimes at idle.
1969 Mercury Cougar 1969 Mercury Cougar Base 5.8L. Up for action is this 1969 Mercury Cougar. Due to divorce I am forced to sell. My loss your gain. Over 20000 invested in car. Now for the good parts strong and reliable 351w motor. Also Keisler built tremec overdrive 5 speed trans clutch and driveshaft with less than 10000 miles on them. Was in the process of building car to hill race. Gears 1 thru 4 are low to really get this car out of the hole and a 5th gear overdrive to cruise down the highway at 70mph while only turning 2100 rpm. New front seats that will hold you in place. New shocks in back. Limited slip rear end with I believe 350 gears. Electric and belt driven fans.Car also has power brakes with drums all around and manual steering so you can feel the road. Aftermarket AC system. Tires have a lot of tread left. The hide away headlights and sequential tail lights do work. I have been using the car up until we got alot of snow and I put a large scratch in the passenger side quarter panel when towing car out of some snow see pic. Car has always been in a garage but I have driven it a lot because it is a blast and car gets a lot of thumbs up because you just don\'t see cougars very often anymore. Now for the bad. Paint on car is a 10 footer in my opinion except for scratch. Reverse lights not connected.Small leak on clutch slave cylinder. Speedo and fuel gauge is not connected. Volts oil press temp and tach do work.. 5.8 liter 351Cu inches-Manual transmission-Rear wheel drive-Well maintained-Runs and drives great-American classic. Located in New Milford CT.
