This car is all steel except for the running boards that are fiberglass and very strong. This vehicle was built in Indiana by a professional builder for a client in Kentucky I believe in 2004 - 2005. It was purchased by a motorsports racing shock and decal vendor in Mt. Airy, NC and I purchased from him.It is an extremely reliable and very drivable old school street rod. It has a 400 c.i. Chevrolet engine with a TH 400 automatic transmission. The engine compartment boasts polished metal inserts under the hood, a polished aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb and chromed power steering pump and pulleys. It also has an aluminum polished radiator and coolant recovery tank and aluminum Air Conditioner condenser. The AC has a temperature controlled fan with manual override switch. A prerequisite for a Southern street rod sedan is air conditioning and this one works well with cold air. The rear differential is a GM 10 bolt with air adjustable ride height shock absorbers. It has disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear. It cruises effortlessly and safely at interstate speeds.Handling and steering has been enhanced with a Fatman Fabrication of Charlotte dropped spindles, front steer rack and pinion and heavy duty sway bars front and rear. Custom billet wheels have a custom chromed steel center cap with the Chevy bowtie logo added, hiding all lug nuts. The battery ( a new Optima Gel Cell) has been located to the trunk and is located behind the passenger side panel with a cut-off switch located on the panel. The interior is finished in a very durable fabric in gray and light gray and is in excellent condition. All window trim and actuators as well as instrument panel inserts have been chromed. The re-upholstered front seats are from a Trailblazer and have electronic controls on the drivers side. This front seats\\\' design also incorporates modern shoulder harness and lap seat belts within the seat making egress to the rear seat quite easy. The dash incorporates modern gage instrumentation with a classic look. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD provides sound. A late model GM tilt steering column has been upgraded and installed for driving ease. The interior is traditional as well as modern. I believe the floor shifter is a Lokar. The previous owner was a talented artist and added pinstriping to the dash as well as the exterior and painted two graphics under the hood on each side of the cowl. To improve rear lighting at the rear a third brake light has been added and all bulbs have been replaced with LEDs. Also the license light has been modified to illuminate the Chevy bowtie logo in the center.The paint is lacquer with a clear coat and has classic hot rod flames applied on the front fenders and hood. There is a custom made bra to protect the front end on those long cruises to the national car shows. All chrome and stainless trim is in excellent condition as well as all the polished aluminum in the engine compartment.
