Hello. Selling our 1979 VW Bus. We've owned it for a couple years, and bought it for our high school daughter. It is a 4 speed stick shift, and she doesn't like shifting it all the time, so her next car will be an automatic transmission, I guess! This bus is really beautiful, it turns heads wherever we go in it, and gets a lot of attention. People seriously love this thing! Highlights and Features: -- Brand new rebuilt 1500 cc engine, summer of 2016. Over $3,000 spent, have all receipts. -- Modern paint job, and interior, custom made by previous owner. -- Horn, lights, turn signals, flashers, all in working order. -- New steering linkage installed, for smooth, straight steering now. -- No rust. Body and overall condition is excellent. -- Engine upgraded to electronic distributor. No points to change. This is the last year of the "Bay Window" Type 2 bus. Someone put an older engine in it, which now gives it that older Bus look in the engine compartment. It needed a rebuild last year, and now runs fantastic, with plenty of power. It is in my heated garage being stored this winter, but I will be taking more engine pictures soon. The engine is really sweet now, very reliable.
